They seem to be on top of fixing issues and the scout film is now available so those are good signs!

Yes I will give them some credit for addressing a few issues.  I think they could help alot by upgrading their server.  I'm not sure they knew how crazy most of us are about watching film and scouting.  Not to mention it beats the heck out of doing our real jobs....

The scout film being available is huge! Just keep on streamlining things GAMEDAY!

Maybe I'm just spoiled after using HUDL for years but the Frontrow interface is slow, clunky, and really, just inefficient.

I would love to see:
1) Quicker clip loading.
------Maybe better clip cleanup would help?

2) Better clip clean up.
------ A lot of useless clips are being published.
------ A lot of extra time, mainly pre-snap, in most clips.

3) Buttons for Fast forward, fast reverse, slow forward, slow reverse.
------ Having to us a drop down for each clip is a pain. I usually don't want to see the whole clip in slow mo, just a piece of it. Yes, I understand how to do this with the interface but it's a pain not being able to fluidly move forwards and backwards in the speed needed.

4) For the site to default to the team I choose when I go it.
------Again, just another inefficiency with having to choose my team every time I go to the site.

For the most part the film was much better this week, which is a good thing.  Another week like the first and this would've been a useless expenditure.

On the original paperwork for the Gameday service, they offered a game credit if more than 7 plays were missed or unwatchable.  Well, we filmed our own game and they definitely missed 7 plays, and the majority of the film was worthless.  After 14 different emails asking for a credit, the best response I got from Travis was that he would look into it.  That was 6 days ago.

Honestly, we would pay the $600 gladly to access the game film we want at anytime and they provide us with the film to post on hudl as requested.  That would save them the money of worrying about servers and glitchy video players.  All they would need is good camera operators and a way to store the video.  Heck they could send out the film as requested via google drive.

If we could just get the raw film, I wouldn't(and most coaches) care too much about having to cut the clips and get them ready for viewing.  Hudl makes it easy and is a great platform to view film.  What they are making us use is pretty low grade in comparison.

Hopefully they can make that an option in the future

Game Films that I have watched look good. I think the biggest complaint I have is more on the EASE of USE vs quality. I think all the games Ive watched and did notes on have done well. I do most of it off my cell phone too (which probably hinders my ease of use a little). In the cell mode if I go full screen I don't get on screen controls. If I go full desktop mode then full screen I do. simple things like that.

the Mobile site seems to be more glitchy than the desktop site. Videos load much better and control work better when you select  "desktop site" in my settings on the webpage if that helps any one having issues on their cell. (I have a galaxy S9)

I think the money is well spent in scout film haven't had any issues but we were also 3 or 4 weeks in before we signed up when our HUDL stopped being effective. (camera errors not hudl errors)

I agree that the scout film is well worth the money.. However, the editing is a HUGE issue.

1) 30% of plays are cut to where you are unable to see the formation pre-snap. The clip jumps straight into a player running the ball, or the ball being handed off. Half of what we want is to see the formation of the offense/defense.
2) Clips are so short i.e. 6 seconds, that you have to return to the play multiple times to watch it
3) I don't care to watch halftime routines, injury clips of players laying on the ground for 1-2 minutes, or the referees standing around for 1-2 minutes talking about a call
4) 30% of plays do not include the full field of view such as 11 v 11 players
5) The video quality is subpar and takes longer than desired to buffer for such short clips.

Anyone else having problems with FrontRow today? Is it just me, or does it only seem to work once in a while?

Man I hate sounding like a whiny little punk. But it pisses me off that they make us watch film on a substandard video player. It’s a joke. And they took away the buttons to forward to the next clip or go back.

Great service by making all the film available, but get it right fellas. This video player is sub par. Have film for each team listed under the name instead of having to search through a season full of games to find certain games. At least break it up by weeks.

There are so many ways to improve this service and it’s usability but getting the damn video player so that it consistently loads clips and is usable should be step 1. Get it together.

Ps I doubt they read these posts cause they don’t give two cents. They’ve already been paid. Sad

Have hope that they may read these posts (someone listed as "front row" has posted here)...and there is always next year's contract. If they want it, they will certainly need to make some improvements based on feedback.
