How did they decide that an 8-1 LC team from last year with a O and D line the size of 6th graders would be playing in a AA division....just a question...they are definitely a great team just wondering why not choose a more competitive divsion...

Because they are a 3a school and can the first yr of AA of they want. So they may the INFC AA criteria. Question is why would the coach request AA? Silver Ball chasing? Doesn't help the players playing players below their level. But seen it done a lot. But because of their class it's pretty normal for LC teams to be in AA.

The club automatically puts them in AA. All lc teams go into AA in 4th grade no matter there record and it’s not even up to coaches. I know the coaches wanted to be in A division.

CoachEmUp is correct. This 4th grade team wanted to be in the A division. Keep in mind that the average class size for Lincoln Christian is around 73, which would make them a Class A school. However, when the OSSAA admitted LCS in 2007, part of the criteria was that they play up a class, so they started in the 2A division. When the high school football team won the state title in 2008, they had to move up to 3A.
I believe it was for safety reasons that the school made the rule that all 4th grade teams must start in the AA division until they can prove themselves.
