Div 1

JENKS MAROON    vs SAND SPRINGS GOLD
Maroon with the win.
OWASSO WHITE vs BIXBY BLUE
Owasso White will get some resistance but the force is too strong with them. Jedi Allin and his younglings get it done again.
UNION BLACK vs BA CHROME
Union Black and the Gilbert Browns on the dline are too much.
BIXBY WHITE vs MUSKOGEE
Roughers set the tone early and never take their foot off the gas.

BA SILVER vs BYE WEEK

Div 2

BARTLESVILLE vs OWASSO SILVER
Finding the W column for these two might be the same as searching for Big Foot.
Silver has been stuck in Turtle 🐢 all season. This weekend they shift it to Rabbit 🐰 and get the dub on the road.
BA PLATINUM vs BA BLACK
BA Black shows up and shows out.
JENKS BLACK vs SAPULPA
Jenks Black Big
UNION SILVER vs JENKS WHITE
Speed all over the field. Jenks closes the door late.
BIXBY RED vs SAND SPRINGS BLACK
Bixby keeps rolling in back to back weekends.

Guess I picked the wrong week to be busy at work... Lotta keyboard cowboys out there with revisionist history, if you want to be taken seriously don't forget to bring receipts.  And by all means talk all the smack you want, but own it. Let us know who you’re with and what team your reppin or else its just noise... Biden didn't mandate masks on the message boards, just in front of the cameras

Div 1

JENKS MAROON    vs SAND SPRINGS GOLD – Tough Draw for the Golden Sandites. #22 will play his heart and soul out, but the wishbone duo are too much.  If #22 can get that O-line to buy him some time in the pocket, he can sling the rock real pretty like, just needs a few breaks to get flowing in the right direction.  The maroon trojans at home don’t like to lose, and they certainly will have play number 1 and 2 on full display in this matchup! Overall, they are sharpening the sword every week becoming more and more formidable as the season grows long. Jenks in droves 42-6

OWASSO WHITE vs BIXBY BLUE- GOTW Div 1- BIG BLUE! First time since 3rd grade we have had the pleasure of facing these boys on the field of battle, and it’s a challenge we don’t pretend to take lightly.  The addition of Allen at QB has given them a 3rd dimension not before seen in their offense, which just adds to the challenge at hand.  Dax and Fugate are the 1,2 punch that drives the machine, and either split out wide deserves ample attention.  Big Penny and that line will wear you down if found lacking, and we hope to rise to the occasion.  Little history lesson in case you’re new to the 2027 world of INFC football.  Owasso White came into existence in the year of our lord, 2017 AD.  A little brother of sorts to ORed and OBlack, the fledgling team struggled to find its footing and only won 3 games that first season, but learned many valuable lessons.  Now mind you, at the time only 4 of our kids had played football so growing pains were to be expected. The next season came with a fresh outlook and big dreams of playoff berths, only to be dashed in a tough loss in the last game of the season to Ronnie and his pesky Platinum Tigers (First and goal on the 2 as time ran out leaves a bad taste). The Platinum tigers went on to face Jenks Maroon in round one, and a blessing in disguise fell at our laps.  Instead of almost certainly being one and done by the eventual champs (Maroon won it that year I believe over BA Black and a cold natured aquatic bird, but Mav can correct me if I’m wrong), the 4th grade O white team went to the PST and went undefeated to take the PST Tournament championship! 6 extra games did wonders for our boys, and certainly galvanized them into better football players with a sense of grit and glory.  The next season, 5th grade, we had a shock to the system.  28 kids per team was a mountain in our eyes, an insurmountable Everest that we feared would dash the hopes of taking that next step up the ladder.  I’ll be honest and admit there was a brief time of despair that we had been hamstrung with such high numbers, and that it ultimately wasn’t fair to the kids at any rate.  But as is with all things, we must persevere.  Time stands still for no one, and in the end, it just added to the challenge.  A run of 6-0 to start the season, as Coachemup called it, the cupcake trail.  Ended with 2 straight losses and a win to get in game once again.  This time we rose to the occasion, and secured our berth into the dance for the first time.  A drive to Norman to face an undefeated one seed was our prize, one we cherished.  A valiant game was played that dark and stormy night, in the rain and the sleet and the cold we came up just short, undone by a last-minute touchdown and some very VERY untimely penalties. In the darkness of that Norman stadium, Coach Miyagi and I decided to form a Sooner Classic team made up of Owasso players and combined with Ronnie Sontag and Aaron Latsos with a cluster of BA boys and won that ship(and many lessons as well)  The year following, 6th grade, the team was not much changed except down to 23 to start and most of those battle hardened warriors.  Of the original 3rd grade team we still had 15, and to say  that makes me a proud coach is an understatement. Being the last year before all the non 6A schools go to school ball, this one is a special season.  You truly are the champion of all champions if you can win it in 6th grade, come what may.  Once again we found ourselves in the dance after a hard fought season, and this time was able to win a playoff game against Piedmont in our home stadium.  Alas, we turned the page to face the Jenks Maroon Wolfpack dressed in shades of black and grey, as if some apparition had appeared out of the dusk and was to be our opponent.  We fought like warrior poets that day, but my coaching came up lacking.  Long hours have I spent lamenting on choices foolishly made and “Oh what might have beens”.  28-24 leaves a bad taste, one I hope to avenge come Oct 9th. In the wake of that defeat, and knowing that Aaron and Ronnie had formed their own team we set again to build a sooner squad out of our Owasso teams, and we partnered with some boys from the white trojans in Jenks.  Seeing number 22 go to work up close and personal was a thing of beauty, and proudly we coached that team to the trophy as well. But that brings to the present, and as of now we have not been weighed nor measured in the breadth of a full season.  This test before us is one we have prepared for, and BIG BLUE is formidable, so we hope for a victorious battle that leaves us better on the other side.
Lastly, I take the stacked team comments and that BS as a huge compliment. The 12 boys still playing from 3rd grade certainly take it as a compliment that their development and hard work has people so scared as to declare the draft system in Owasso as broken.  IF you want to question the team of great young men and their hard work in the future, attach your name and your team so we can have the pleasure of making sure those words come back to haunt you.  I bid you good day sirs.

UNION BLACK vs BA CHROME – This one is a struggle, cause at present neither team has shown their full potential.  For the first quarter, I thought Chrome played well against Jenks, and it showed on the board.  After that the wheels kinda fell off.  Union didn’t fare much better, but being the first game out the gate, and BA Silver needing to bounce back they were up against a caged animal.  I’m taking a shot at the boys from the U getting that show on turf up off the mat 26-13

BIXBY WHITE vs MUSKOGEE- Did you know that even though Bixby lost to SS Gold last week 13-0 that they didn’t give up a defensive touchdown? I find that to be intriguing to say the least.  It shows they are out there playing hardnosed football and playing to win.  A couple of pick 6s were the undoing as I was told.  They’ve got a new team and this one is winnable so I see them putting it all on the line here.  The GEE is a fairly new team with a couple battle hardened veterans.  Unfortunately, #12 and #1 are the only multiyear players on this squad and they are down to 16 boys.  But one thing is certain, not one of the 16 gives up no matter what the score board is.  That’s a testament to the coaches and the heart in those players.  Be prepared to get hit in the mouth if you are anywhere near #12, and overall, the team speed is impressive.  I’m taking the GEE in a dog fight 13-12

BA SILVER vs BYE WEEK- Eat at Smokies in BA, tell em Allin21 sent you

Div 2

BARTLESVILLE vs OWASSO SILVER- Not too much to say about the Bruins, except I hope those boys are learning week to week and they come out better for it.  Owasso Silver is certainly more talented than the scoreboard has shown, and I can’t imagine them not being fired up to get back in the win column for this one.  I foresee a big one for the Rams here 32-6

BA PLATINUM vs BA BLACK- GOTW Div 2- Boy oh boy this one’s a doozy.  Prob gone back and forth ten times here.  Platinum is well coached, and they have a scrappy team that does not give up ground easily.  I can see them sticking to their roots here and using that athleticism of Kavion and Cowboy to grind the big boys on the other side.  Just cannot make mistakes or it will be their undoing.  BA Black proved me wrong in a big way.  Haven’t seen film, but from the talk around the water cooler, they got back to the basics.  Not a damn thing wrong with that when it nets you those results.  And for that, I’m worried about this pick.  I think whoever wins the turnover battle gets it (I know captain obvious, but hear me out), and if neither team turns it over it will be a special teams win.  Unfortunately for my pick BA Black has the best kicker in the league not named Eric Poyner. BA Platinum in a squeaker 21-20

JENKS BLACK vs SAPULPA- Sapulpa got me with the razzle dazzle.  I thought it was suspect that they gave up those scores to Bville, but overlooked it due to BA Blacks disastrous outing against Jenks White.  Couldn’t have been more wrong about that one, and it cost me in the pick em’s for sure.  Hoping the Chieftains can bounce back and get in the groove but this week may not be the one to do it.  Jenks Black is rolling, and getting better every week.  To say I’m impressed would be understating it, and they certainly have the league’s attention.  BXB Red aside, the schedule does seem back loaded, so they need to keep taking care of business and take no game lightly.  I don’t think they will, Jenks by a lot 37-13

UNION SILVER vs JENKS WHITE – This could have been GOTW if not for the tiger matchup.  Two undefeated squaring off to take the next step toward the post season.  This winner will be in the driver’s seat for Div 2 for sure in my opinion.  The speed of Silver has so far been hard to contain, but they haven’t faced a well-coached D like Jenks white yet.  Unfortunately, one of the trojans best tacklers, number 42 AJ Patton went down with a collar bone in practice, so next man up to keep the scoreboard in their favor.  I’m taking Semaj and Co in a good one 24-14

BIXBY RED vs SAND SPRINGS BLACK- SS Black has been a scrappy out, but just keeps coming up short.  Overall I think they have a ton of talent and I like the coaching I’ve seen.  Just too many mistakes at inopportune moments.  That doesn’t bode well against a wounded group of rabid dogs like BXB RED.  I heard Jack Gill put on a clinic last week, and he will be ready to do the same this week  BXB RED Wins in a dominant fashion, 31-6

Good luck to all and stay healthy

Allin you give yourself way to much credit if you think that was all about you the other BA coaches know what I mean. Remember the one that had to trade his first round pick to get his own son back

As for the jerseys, you know who I'm talking about

Again maybe you should try deflating your balls

Heck of a write up on your boys and the history of O-White.  Your literary skills are on par with your youth football coaching skills.   Your passion for youth football is.....shall we say intense.  I could take a jab for fun, but that would only derail the root question and the truth is, kids are lucky at this age to have mentors with your kind passion, in whatever they are involved with.  I have  always been impressed with how you coach your teams.  I always thought you had a knack for getting the most out of your boys.  I also think this year you have the horses to take advantage of your coaching.  Its apparent that you took the broken draft comment personally and too be honest, I would have done so as well, but I think its a valid question.
I am guessing your post was intended to show development, and although I do think you have developed kids extremely well, lets be honest, these are 12 and 13 year old kids.  The difference in these teams are the Jim's and Joes (and puberty), not the X's and O's.  I see more coaches at this level get in the way of talent  than I see harness it.  I have always been impressed with the motor your boys have, which I believe comes from good coaching, but please provide the link to the website you found the drill which turns your kids into 6'-0" 240lb 12 year old's.  I am not trying to take away from your coaching at all, but lets just things in perspective please.
Hey if your team has 12 kids from 3rd grade and they are all contributing or starting, then call it luck of the draw and good coaching.  From the outside though I see 2 groups of kids that just don't pass the eye test.  I see one team with multiple Qb's, depth on the line, and 2 kids in the "Heisman" discussion (embarrassing that this is a topic on here  :D).  Keep in mind these are your characterizations, not mine.  Then I see a team that has trouble with basic center QB exchange and alignment.  I see one team that is dominant, while the other will struggle to get a W.    I see a school district that has gone from 3 teams down to 2 while every other district has only increased numbers.  I see a Silver team that doesn't have a single kid that would play on White.
Jenks, Bixby, and BA are all able to field multiple competitive teams that are relatively even, besides the first years of Jenks Black (who have come into their own this year) and Bixby white who truly is a team of all first year kids.  BA had a team here and there that struggled, but I think for the most part, they were relatively even and competitive.
If your 11 contributors are all from your team last year, then the draft is what it is and you are working within the system, so tell the naysayers to suck it and move down the road towards a championship, but if Silver has any kids that use to play for White, then I think there is a problem.   I know that I don't have all the info and maybe you could clear it up.  If not, no big deal.  From outside in, it just seems off, but I am wrong all the time.  Look at my week 1 picks.

I know someone will make this claim of jealousy and their is nothing I can do to stop that.  All I can say is trust me when I say that I have a true perspective of what this level of football is.  I never played football at this age and had, from most anyone's standards....a successful football career.  I also have a boy that plays very little, so if I was just interested in my kid winning a championship or living precariously through my kid, this would not be the avenue for it.  What I am interested in is seeing kids develop into strong young adults and albeit from a biased position, I feel football is a great way of doing it.

Silver has one Owhite player, that chose to go back to the draft for his own personal reasons. We didn’t put him in the draft if that’s the question at hand. And for what it’s worth he’s got all the talent and natural athletic abilities to be a stud. But I appreciate the post. I do in fact agree, I have no control over the puberty lottery and it seems with a few boys we have hit it. But overall my point was that we haven’t done anything but develop our team. Our team never dissolved, we always retained the most numbers, and though I can’t speak to the other teams and their situations, we always attempted to get the most out of every player and coach them to the fullest of their potential. And this was from starting out as the “expansion” team in 3rd grade.

As far as the Heisman discussion I think that you(and most) took it the wrong way. I honestly wanted to increase the info exchange on the talented kids in this grade. I don’t know all about the studs at Union or sand springs or Sapulpa and I thought it might engage people to let us have some insight.

There’s a reason I didn’t continue to post on that thread cause it seemed self serving, although I would be remiss if I didn’t highlight some of the players on my team that could stand out.

Sounds like you appreciate football for what it really is, a great sport that can teach young men some of the basic tenets of life as well as strong moral character.

Who are you rolling with? I’d like to shake your hand and converse sometime if we ever run into each other out at the fields. I’ll be in Jenks getting film on maroons 3,4, and 5 plays about 1:00 Saturday before I head to owasso for our big match up

A big part of White's success, as AllIn has mentioned, is that they are the only team that has had a consistent coaching staff since 3rd grade. They've been methodical with practices and philosophy for four plus years now. Having practiced next to them for multiple years, it's something to be envied. We had joint practices multiple times and their coaches have always been willing to share anything and everything with whoever asked for it, Owasso or otherwise.

Another reason for their success, they still exist. Red dissolved for 5th, came back for 6th with a new staff, and is gone again. Black dissolved after 6th and Silver exists as a first year team in 7th grade who only had a HC with any experience due to someone stepping in at the 11th hour (a fantastic guy with no kid on the team).

Owasso has struggled to grow youth football via F.O.R. for a myriad of reasons, and that's why overall numbers have dropped, 1st-7th, at the same time that the high school team has had it's most successful run of all time. Our community visibility and online presence is nonexistent.

As a coach for Black, the only issue I had when we overlapped was that they were better at getting protects than we were, and that's more of a knock on me than it is them.

I think there are more than a handful of kids who could see meaningful snaps on White that play for Silver, but what's better at this age; 30+ snaps a game, or 12ish snaps a game and great coaching?

I get it, it sucks to lose. We did it a lot last year on Black. Can't begin to tell you how frustrating it was to scrimmage White during the week and more than hold our own and then go get rolled on Saturdays. Wasn't any fault of the kids on the field, falls squarely on the guys wearing lanyards and holding clipboards... self included.

Can't fault White for being consistent and winning... they are 2-0 and shut the scoreboard off both times with or without the two kids from Black, and that's not meant to take anything away from those kids. They were massively successful with #10 under center, and he's still taking the majority of snaps.

You didn't have to respond, but you did, and I for one appreciate the response.  I could say it sounds like you got lucky with your early kids, but they say luck is when preparation meets opportunity and it sounds like hard work and dedication is paying off for these young men's physical maturity .  I know what I think, most likely doesn't matter to you,  but hearing only 1 boy from White is on Silver makes me feel better about the discrepancy in teams.  To be honest, I had heard differently which is why the Jab was thrown.  The idea of kids being labeled or written off at this age just rubs me the wrong way.  Your boys have come a long way since 3rd grade and to do it in the manner you have suggested is a testament to why we should keep this level of sports always in perspective.  Most these boys will never play varsity football, let alone big time football.  I truly believe though that all these kids can take the work ethic, team building, and the ability to face adversity, with them onto whatever they do.
OK! enough with the drama.  Time to get back to having fun making fun of Coach12   ;D ;D ;D
