Bixby White is going to be hard to beat. They are physical and number 5 is a complete stud. They are also very well coached.

OBlack is big and strong upfront on both sides of the ball. Then they are fast everywhere else. Big fast and physical is the best way to describe them.

Union Red seemed to struggle a little bit today against Bixby White and OBlack. I think they got wind of number 10 is and came up with ways to get the ball carrier away from him.

Not sure how the rest of the D1 teams look I haven't had a chance to see them yet

Bixby seems to be trouble for a lot of the grades! Should be a good year!

Got a chance to put the pool pole to some good use Saturday, and the action did not disappoint!

Might have to revise my playoff teams in each division with what I saw over the weekend but we can add another post for that.

Union Red- Justice is as good as advertised, and they have a couple of other downright playmakers as well that will bust a big one or hit you in the mouth.

Bixby White- Gage and BJ were dynamic in the backfield, although I wonder if Ronnie kept his playbook extra vanilla with no sprinkles cause the white trojans were lurking in anticipation of that week 1 matchup.  This team is organized and well coached!

Muskogee- Definitely talented, can air it out if you give them time.  Some huge size as well makes me more confident in my playoff berth I picked for them.  Just a few things to clean up and they will be a tough out all season long! 10, 13, and 23 stood out live and on film...

Jenks Silver- #7*** was all over the place hitting people in the mouth! Need to clean up team tackling and they should be able to give some teams a run for their money!

Union Silver- Brought out the passing attack and put on an air show early and often.  #14 is a huge target, and prob woulda had 4 TDs except for a few drops.  Overall they looked like they were firing on all cylinders and will definitely be in the playoff picture

Sand Springs- QB was putting on a show out there, and his receivers were holding up their end of the bargain.  Looking forward to a great matchup against the Sandites in week one.  We will need to bring our A game.

BA Black- Aggressive, fast, organized... They have size up front and the skill players to put it on you early.  Thought they looked really sharp against Jenks White and BA Gold in the late scrimmage.  Will be challenging bixby white for that top spot in my opinion.

BA Gold- This team is right there with BA Black.  Almost mirror images of each other.  Absolutely play with a chip on their shoulders.  Number 27 is a dawg but needs to control his emotions or he will get some laundry tossed around, but I love the fire.

Jenks White- When they have time the passing attack is there, but make no mistake this team is run first.  They aren't massive up front, but seems like everyone does their job and does it very well.  #5 gives them the home run threat that will give us all nightmares watching scout film.  Can't wait til that last game of the season!

Bixby Blue- I was out there all day, and the team that impressed me most was bixby blue.  They were running two full teams on offense since they got loaded up with 30+ kids, and those coaches had both 1st and 2nds running the same offense with efficiency.  I mean honestly we all have different packages especially when the numbers of kids get up there, but I've never seen a second group come in and run the same plays with that level of execution.  Hats off to those coaches and players, and I know they will have a ton of kids prepared to take that next step into school ball.

Only negative thing I'm gonna say about any of it, was the entirely ridiculous amount of times I saw a team "practice" the punt.  I mean come on fellas, are we practicing failing? 4th down is just another opportunity to score...smh.... And it wasn't just one team either! Gonna have some crazy field position battles this season!!!!

For real though it looks like it's shaping up to be a super competitive gauntlet to the post season! Good luck and stay healthy
