Week 6 AAPick'ems
« on: October 02, 2018, 10:35:04 am »
Week 6 is already here, I don't know about you guys but this season is flying!

Cascia Hall vs. South Tulsa- Cascia is sound at all levels and will turn off the clock

Berryhill vs. Jenks Maroon- Tough Loss last week for Jenks and Playoffs could be in question. Berryhill is not flashy but do what they do. Jenks by 3 td's

Glenpool vs. Collinsville- Warriors are on a roll with a solid defense and old school up the middle. Collinsville has some big guys, keep grinding! Glennpool wins

Metro vs Sap Blue- GOW- this should be a great game and with the forecast not in Metro favor its up for grabs. Sapulpa had a tough loss last week and I'm sure the are going to be ready to play some football. Metro converting to the wishbone do to weather will be interesting. Metro in a close one.

Hulbert vs. Claremore- Great win last week Claremore! Zebras with the victory

Checotah vs. Wagoner- Checotah fell short last week and has shown they are human. Wagoner looks to be a solid team and is playing at home. Checotah on a coin flip

Hilldale vs. Coweta- Coweta coming off a great game and victory. Hilldale is on upset alert! Strap it up as this is going to be a battle. Coweta in a close one.

Verdigris vs. Pryor- haven't seen either of these teams play.

Good luck everyone!

Wow, some interesting game outcomes last week.  Checotah (the big dog) goes down to Coweta and Claremore who has quietly been off the radar jumps up and bites Hilldale.  Hulbert comes out and plays tough against Pryor.  Glenpool and Cascia both rout solid teams.

AA:1

Collinsville vs Glenpool – Collinsville has had back to back tuff games and this week will definitely not get any easier.  Glenpool is a very physical and balanced team, and is deserving of its current standing in the division.  To beat Glenpool, Collinsville needs to play perfect football.  Glenpool gets this one.

Sapulpa Blue vs Metro – I think this is going to be a good game and may have playoff implications.  Both teams need to get a win here to be comfortable in the standings.  Metro is solid and has played consistent.  Sapulpa like Jenks got a gut check last week.  The word is Sapulpa’s starting QB is out injured.  That news actually made me change my pick on this one.  Metro gets the win.

South Tulsa vs Cascia Hall – Yeah well…this is not going to be pretty.  Maybe Cascia can get in some good playing time for their non-starters.  South Tulsa make sure your boys drink lots of water, get a good night's sleep and have ALL their pads on because they are going to take a beating this weekend…very sorry.

Jenks Maroon vs Berryhill – Yep, Jenks got shellacked last Saturday in all phases of the game.  On top of that we have some crucial injuries.  Berryhill’s got potential and beat the teams they should have.  I think this will ultimately turn out to be a close game with Jenks coming out ahead.

AA:2

Wagner Red vs Checotah – We all thought Checotah was a machine and I still think they are darn good.  I’ll be honest, I originally though AA:2 was the weaker division but now I’m not sure.  I do know playoffs will be fun to watch.  This will be a good game but I think Checotah comes into this game fired up after a tough loss and Wagner comes in flat.  Checotah wins soundly.

Claremore vs Hulbert – It’s no secret I like those Hulbert boys and wish them the best but they will be in for a long day Saturday.  Claremore you know you have this but keeping your players from falling flat after the next couple of games will be your biggest challenge.

Pryor vs Verdigris – This is a tough one as both teams have had brief flashes of good.  Verdigris had a nice win against South Tulsa and put up some points on Wagner.  Pryor hung close to Claremore.  I’m going to go with Verdigris on this one.

Coweta vs Hilldale – This division is getting very interesting.  We all thought Checotah and Hilldale were a lock at the top and along comes Coweta and Claremore.  Now it's starting to look like this division is stacked.  This will be another good low scoring battle.  I think Coweta takes this in a tight one.

Looks like weather will be a factor this weekend.  Good luck to all the teams.

What a week we just had!  Several upsets being thrown around, which is why you gotta show up each and every week!  Best of luck this weekend to everyone, weather could make things very interesting!!  Every game gets bigger and bigger as the season goes on.

AA:1
Berryhill at Jenks Maroon
Berryhill, though im not surprised, had a nice bounceback win last week against South Tulsa, and will come into this weekends game thinking theyve got a serious shot.  Ive heard that Jenks has had some injuries to some key players.  If Jenks is fully healthy, i think they win this one easily.  Not knowing what the injury report is, i think its a close one and the Trojans pull this one out.

Glenpool at Collinsville
The Warriors are a well oiled machine, and the further the season goes along, the better theyre gonna get. No need to deny that the Cards have plenty of size, however they wont have the combination of size AND speed that the Warriors have.  I think the Cards will sneak one in, but the final should be somewhere around 34-6.

Metro Christian at Americas Team
No way around it, our Chieftains played like dog **** last weekend.  Not physical, too many missed assignments, and too much goofing off before the game.  Maybe that ass whooping was good for us and it'll make us hungry to get back in the win column, maybe it puts us in a downward spiral.  Metro seems to be a lot bigger this year, and they have tons of athletes to spread across the field.  No doubt about it, the Clackster will have his little Patriots ready, but what Chieftains team will show up.  At the end of the game, scoreboard will show that the Chieftains win a close one.

Cascia Hall at South Tulsa
This game wont be close.  Cascia is the real deal in all aspects of the game, and the Defenders wont have an answer for any of it.  Outside of maybe Glenpool, nobody has.  Stay healthy Commandos, cant wait for your Week 9 game!!!

AA:2
Checotah at Wagoner Red
Man oh man....a week ago i would have had a completely different outlook on this game, but obviously after Coweta showed up and took the W, the Wildcats suddenly seem human.  Ive only got to see the this Wagoner team once and that was Week 1.  Did some of Checotahs players get injured, or were the Tigers just too damn much for Checotah.  Anyways, at the end of the day, if Wagoner allowed Verdigris to score 26 points, then i dont think theyll be able to stop a pissed off Checotah squad.

Hilldale at Coweta
JOB WELL DONE LAST WEEK TIGERS!!!  Ive been going back and forth on this one, however im gonna stick with the Tigers on this one!  To be honest, i wont be shocked at any outcome in this game, UNLESS its a blow out on either side.  Both teams dont lack any size, so theirs gonna be some beat up bodies after this one.  Tigers win 14-12!!!

Hulbert at Claremore
Just thinking about this mess of a matchup puts my ass to sleeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Verdigris at Pryor
The battle of 2 one win teams...so this makes me happy that someone is gonna grab their second dub.  My initial pick was Pryor, until i saw their score against Hulbert last week, wow.  Going with the Cards there, in blowout fashion!!!!!

I think you will see a big improvement from Verdigris each week here on out. Has probably the fastest kid in the INFC. Came from Catoosa and played with us a few games in 3rd Grade, but he is really green still. His speed is amazing when he actually runs, but he won’t use it unless he feels pressure.
