Ummm pump those breaks 🤣🤣 he might be light years ahead of the 6th grade QBs but not sure about the grade above him. I watched the kid today from bixby red he is nice but you most definitely stretching it if you thinking a grade up.

Maybe so honeybadger. But why you so quick to point that part out. It wasn’t my point to say anything about that. The point was....do you not find that odd that this deerhunter is literally making it a point to rag a 6th grader. Lol. Im with Frontline. How obvious is it that it’s a Bixby Red parent.  So to your point not light years ahead. Wrong verbiage I used. Just pointing out that he’s not “terrbible” IMO i think he’s a pretty good QB for this age. Is that better HoneyBadger?

Like I said I watched him play as well as the Red team and they are really good. That defense flows to the ball. As for the QB he’s legit, he knows his receivers and puts the ball where it needs to be for the receivers to make a play on the ball. I have nothing negative to say bout the kid just was pointing out the light year part lol but I also watched this team against sand springs and that was a great game. The QB made a great throw in OT that helped his team seal the win

HoneyBadger1, what are you doing trolling the 6th grade forum?  Is League not keeping it interesting enough in 7th grade?

Frontline.   I stand corrected.  Your offense came to play.   But my point is that everything comes down to QB play.   Also thank you for thinking I have so much insight that you think I’m part of your team. But that leads to this question.  What kind of issues do you guys have going on over there.

Man I’d like to BXB reds issues
-A defense that hasn’t been scored on
-The best def player in the league
- a offensive line the avg 190lbs
-averaging less than a loss a year

sign me up

There are a lot of reasons why they remain top in most polls and have won back-to-back INFC championships!

Sounds like DeerHunter is back pedaling. Def still sounds like a Bixby Red parent.  I believe the QB has been there QB since 1st grade and they literally have lost 2 games in 5.5 years and won 3 championships. So if everything comes down to QB play. He sounds like he is pretty darn good. Listen to yourself DerHunter. You are ragging a QB that has lost 2 games in his entire career. Man this just keeps getting better. LOL. Btw what team are you from DerHunter? Oh wait, you probably don’t want to tell. What a joke. You officially should be banned from ever posting again about anything football related 😂😂

DeerHunter weather is cooling down so I hope you are writing from the woods, if so I’m jealous.  It’s 6th Grade so figuring out what Offense will show up each week is interesting.  As to our issues, we do have a few, like all teams do:

1) Managing a 23 player roster and the chemistry challenges that come with inputting new players into an established system.
2) Getting players/parents to understand the importance of getting to practice and games on time.
3) Outside the above mentioned, the biggest issue is probably deciding what to have for dinner after a late practice on a school night.

The saying goes that "Defense Wins Championships." When you look at the teams consistently in the top 10 each week, it holds true that they generally have strong defenses. With that in mind, I'm going to offer my take on the current placing of the top 10 or 12 teams in 6th grade (the top 6 are currently undefeated).

1. Bixby Red (Top until knocked off, have allowed 0 points)

2. TIE - Edmond Bulldogs (second highest scoring, one of only two teams to allow 0 points), Union Silver (scored most in league while allowing 6 points) and TYAA Blue (has allowed 12 points)

5. TIE - Jenks Silver (allowed 16 points) and Bixby Blue (allowed 18 points)

7.  Choctaw Gold (very big, fast and aggressive - allowed 12 points through 4 games before slamming into a tough and prolific Edmond offense)

8.  Owasso White (still a tough team that should make the playoffs in a strong division)

9. Metro Christian (on the move up the division standings after beating SS)

10. TIE - Lincoln Christian (undefeated-allowed 25 points), BA Platinum (undefeated - allowed 18 points) and Westmoore (statement win with shutout over T-wolves)

Other teams receiving "votes:"  Owasso Red, Cascia Hall, Verdigris, Berryhill, Hilldale

I guess technically this would be a "week 7" or "week 7.5" poll, but I'm going to put my updates after yesterday's games here in this fun thread:

1. Bixby Red (statement win against Jenks Silver proves they remain at the top until knocked off, they have allowed 0 points)

2. Edmond Bulldogs (highest scoring team in the grade, only other team to allow 0 points)

3. TYAA Blue (statement win over Union Silver and has only allowed 18 points)

4. Union Silver (I was surprised their high-powered offense didn't get on the board against TYAA Blue but I have to credit Blue's defense for that too)

5. Jenks Silver (despite getting dismantled by the defending champs, Silver is still a tough team with some quality wins who will be a handful in the play-offs)

6. Metro Christian (I know they have 2 losses but they were close ones against tough teams, plus, they now stand at the top of Division 4)

7.  Choctaw Gold (very big, fast and aggressive and they continue to roll in the west as they prepare for a deep run in the playoffs)

8. Lincoln Christian (one of only 4 teams out of 48 to still be undefeated)

9. Sand Springs (they continue to mix it up with the top teams in the grade)

10. TIE - (remaining teams I predict will make the A playoffs) Bixby Blue (dropped to third in their division but still has a quality win over Metro as well as one of the strongest RBs in the grade); Owasso White (playing tough but have yet to face the defending champs); Westmoore (only one loss to a tough team but on a collision course with Edmond Bulldogs); Owasso Red (I am making an early prediction that they beat Jenks Maroon in two weeks and grab the last playoff spot in Division 3)

I know there are some other AA teams that deserve some recognition but I don't know enough about them to rank them against each other.

What a week of football.
NEW Rankings IMO.......

1. Bixby BIG Red Machine- After fighting the adversity of the injury bug and a full roster, Red seems to be focused and hungry. Defense is top notch and #39 should be playing on a JV team, Lol! It's just not fair.

2. TYAA Bluedawgs- Big, fast, strong, and good coaching. They are hungry and the most motivated to get that ship this year, but I can't put them at the top just yet. To be the best, you've got to beat the best.

3. Edmond Bulldogs- They continue to dominate in the west. Very well coached and disciplined. Big, fast, and will be interesting to see what they do when they play a top east team.

4. Jenks Silver- Tough loss to the champs but still a top team. We'll see how mentally tough they are and if they can bounce back. They have all the tools to go deep in the playoffs, size, speed, and well disciplined.

5. Union Silver- Good team that needs to focus on blocking and tackling and not so much flexing. Has all the pieces to win a ship but need to put it all together and step up when you play the big boys.

6. Metro- A team that keeps getting better and better. All year long they have been tough mentally and physically. It will be interesting to see them in the playoffs. DO NOT underestimate this team.

7. SandSprings- Are the Sandites gearing up to make another run in the playoffs? Their defense says they are......very tough team with a top notch defense. Must figure out how to make things happen on offense.

8. Bixby Blue- Tough loss to the Sandites but may be what they needed right before the playoffs. Good team with the best RB in the 6th grade but gotta put it all together as a team.

9. Owasso Red- Good team with good coaches. Need to start your playoff run now against Jenks Maroon and don't look back. Use that size and speed and aggressiveness to score and score again.

10. Choctaw Gold- A good team with potential. Size and speed are all good but gotta put it all together and show up when you play the big boys. The east side boys is smash mouth football. Better get ready.

I thought the Hot Boys was gonna get in and ride the momentum to a 2nd straight come from behind win. But Bluedogs slammed the door in our face inside the 5 and caused a fumble. Im telling you it be 13 of them lil big dudes out there.
