My only question is those are illegal players right or wrong??? If they are illegal than they should have to forfeit every game. Just like they have done the other teams!!!! But here comes the good ole boy system where they say I don’t think they did it on purpose. How does certain organizations get held to higher standards than other clubs. Lincoln Christian is recruiting and everyone knows it but it’s okay for them and they will get away with this. What’s a fine gonna do???

It is true that every player & coach must register in Sportabase. This is stated in the rulebook twice: Once in Section 3; Article 7 (Page 3) & once again in Section 12; Article 1 (Page 2).

When it comes to this violation of the rules, one must refer to Section 10 titled Rule Violations. Article 1 expressly lays out actions that the INFC Commission can take against "an organization, coach, parent, or player" to include one or more of the following - fine, forfeiture of game or games, suspension of coaches or individuals within an organization, probation, any action deemed appropriate by majority vote of the Commission including the permanent removal from the INFC.

In this case, with the unregistered players for Lincoln, it sounds like they received a fine & the coaches/players not registered are not allowed to participate in tomorrow's game. This is well in line with Section 10 of the rulebook when it comes to levying penalties against an organization, coach, player, parent, etc.

There was also mention about the the 6th grade team & why they had to forfeit & why the teams with unregistered players did not. Once again, let's refer to the rulebook Section 12; Article 2 which lays out the minimum playing time rules for each respective grade (3rd-7th). Continue on into Section 12 to Article 6 & one sees that it expressly says that if a coach is in violation of the participation rule, the game will be ruled a forfeit.

Although there were violations of the rules, they are not one in the same in this case. When it comes to participation rules, the rulebook clearly lays out that penalty. In the case of the unregistered player violations, that is laid out in Section 10 & gives the Commission multiple options.

It's not a "good ole boy system" like many would like to allude to.

I like this guy. Rules are the rules. I do disagree with your last sentence. There DEFINITELY is a good ole boy deal that goes on. Nobody can be that blind. That being said, let's just move forward. I mean it's 2020. This should almost be expected. Best of luck to the two remaining teams. BA BLACK  will see you guys again next year!
