They are a private school so they can recruit.  I know some of the 6th grade coaches and players.  I don't think they purposely did this intentionally.  They've owned up to their mistake.  It  sucks for those kids, but now it is what it is. LC is out and Norman is in.

Recruiting ......Don’t players need to be released from previous club?  Would registering a kid in sportabase that has not been released from another club have raised a red flag?

In this case... If a player was playing for "Club X" last year and they decide to attend "Y Private School" this year and play football they would not need a release because the INFC hierarchy is School then where you live.  Player would need a release if they attended Y Private school and choose to play for "Club X" whose district they reside.

This is only the case with private schools as I understand it.  If this BA to Bixby or Jenks to Sand Springs a waiver would have to be obtained.

This whole process is done through INFC and not sportabase.

Thanks for the clarification.
So this being the case, would there be any ulterior motive for not registering the kids?  I understand rules are rules, just trying to understand if this is a record keeping error like it’s being explained by the INFC, or was LC playing kids that if still had been registered, should not have been playing.

Look this is hypothetical for sure, but if there are any of these "stud free agents" looking for a new school next year shout me a holler dog. No promises, but I might could get you a really good 2nd job working at our Southside Kum & Go or Dollar General 20-35 hours a week. Of course as stated above this is all hypothetical, but if something were to ever happen of this nature one should assume it would be performance based incentives.  Don't everybody jump at once now. This isn't for anyone, but the best of the best of what's left.

As Allen Iverson would say...” Are really talking about one form here?  Are we talking a form...I mean a form! What are we talking about a form?  We talking about a form man!”.

Their 6th grade team cannot play man.  You gonna punish young kids for some their parents forgot to do.  Are you kidding?  Just bc you have some issue with a school. Illegal?  They forgot to fill out one pice of paper.  Not a whole team a couple of kids.  They attend the school. Have you ever forgot to fill something out?  And I bet if you went in and checked sportabase across the board they would have several missing documents.  But right now they don’t care about that.  They are just checking two days before some kids supposed to play.

They have punished other kids and the whole team had to forfeit their season. So hell yes they should be punished!!!  My question again is why does the rules apply to certain clubs but not all clubs?? They have illegal players all season long. So that means you forfeit every game they played in!!!! But the good ole boys system not gonna do Lincoln like that because they don’t think they did it on purpose!!!! LMAO

New threads are started to discuss the issue at hand. Then someone...Penguin...has to change the subject to some conspiracy theory.

To cheat or not to cheat? That is the question. Why would one grade have to forfeit while other grades get to play without unregistered players? 6th grade was apparently doing something they were not suppose to. We can talk paperwork errors or the need for a larger “submit” button on Sportsbase. It like a child saying they didn’t eat the cake while sporting a chocolate mustache.

Set the truth free...!

It is painfully obvious that a large number of coaches & participants within the league not only do not read the rulebook, but also lack a basic understanding of the overall verbiage & the meaning of the rules as well as the application.

My only question is those are illegal players right or wrong??? If they are illegal than they should have to forfeit every game. Just like they have done the other teams!!!! But here comes the good ole boy system where they say I don’t think they did it on purpose. How does certain organizations get held to higher standards than other clubs. Lincoln Christian is recruiting and everyone knows it but it’s okay for them and they will get away with this. What’s a fine gonna do???

It is true that every player & coach must register in Sportabase. This is stated in the rulebook twice: Once in Section 3; Article 7 (Page 3) & once again in Section 12; Article 1 (Page 2).

When it comes to this violation of the rules, one must refer to Section 10 titled Rule Violations. Article 1 expressly lays out actions that the INFC Commission can take against "an organization, coach, parent, or player" to include one or more of the following - fine, forfeiture of game or games, suspension of coaches or individuals within an organization, probation, any action deemed appropriate by majority vote of the Commission including the permanent removal from the INFC.

In this case, with the unregistered players for Lincoln, it sounds like they received a fine & the coaches/players not registered are not allowed to participate in tomorrow's game. This is well in line with Section 10 of the rulebook when it comes to levying penalties against an organization, coach, player, parent, etc.

There was also mention about the the 6th grade team & why they had to forfeit & why the teams with unregistered players did not. Once again, let's refer to the rulebook Section 12; Article 2 which lays out the minimum playing time rules for each respective grade (3rd-7th). Continue on into Section 12 to Article 6 & one sees that it expressly says that if a coach is in violation of the participation rule, the game will be ruled a forfeit.

Although there were violations of the rules, they are not one in the same in this case. When it comes to participation rules, the rulebook clearly lays out that penalty. In the case of the unregistered player violations, that is laid out in Section 10 & gives the Commission multiple options.

It's not a "good ole boy system" like many would like to allude to.

I like this guy. Rules are the rules. I do disagree with your last sentence. There DEFINITELY is a good ole boy deal that goes on. Nobody can be that blind. That being said, let's just move forward. I mean it's 2020. This should almost be expected. Best of luck to the two remaining teams. BA BLACK  will see you guys again next year!
