Tentative Divisions...  Starting last year INFC started granting every team that wanted to be in AA to make the move which left a gauntlet for the A divisions.  This year there were 25+ requests to be AA in 6th grade.  Neither A or AA will be a cakewalk.

I believe that Stillwater Gold in 6th grade has moved to AA since this came out...

Because of our growth (especially in 5th and 6th grade), we ended up with several teams after the draft with a lot of kiddos who have never played tackle football before. I think that is a big part of why we had one 5th and one 6th opt to play in AA this year. I don't think there are any expectations for a cakewalk to an AA championship, but hopefully our club can have some success in both A and AA.

If you look at the history of team divisions from 5th to 6th you will see that there are a lot of AA teams in 6th every year. This was not a surprise to me. Last year 6th had 23 A and 20 AA teams.

Most of those were brand new teams for the most part. Very few(one or two) were existing teams that dropped back to AA. Nothing wrong with it if that’s where you feel the kids need to be to develop and enjoy the sport, I just genuinely wondered. My son will drop back next year and play in this grade after playing up his whole life, so trying to pay more attention to the landscape of things.

I am the Head Coach for the 6th grade Edmond Bulldogs and what Press Pass say`s is partially right. the 6th grade Edmond Wolves have a ton of new player so it makes sense for them to play in the AA but speaking for my team we picked 5-6 new guys that have never played before.. We will coach them up and hope they have fun and enjoy the game !!
