I just wanted to give a big shout out to all of the coaches and players who have made these last 6 years a blast!! I can't believe this is our last regular season game of the year! I thought it would be cool to add some of my favorite memories over the last 6 years! Please feel free to add your favorite stories or moments!
1st Grade One of my favorite memories was from our game vs Bixby Red both teams came into the game undefeated and Bixby jumped out to a 7-0 lead and with about 30 secs we scored making the score 7-6! We didn't convert the XP but still to this day I remember how fun that game was!! We took 4th place that year overall!
MM Tournament featured a lot of great games that year! BA Bronze won a thriller 20-19 over Bartlesville Blue
How could you forget the SUPERBOWL OF 1ST grade that happened in the MM TOURNAMENT IN round 1?? Bixby Red vs Tyaa Blue!! I waited for this game all year!! Huge crowd (Biggest crowd I have seen to date) and were all amped up and you could feel the excitement in the air! I remember Bixby Red running out with the Flag and I knew it was gonna be a defensive battle! I felt like the winner of that game would win it all! I remember this game having some questionable calls but in the end I don't think officiating played a part in deciding the winner! This game was such a defensive battle and not many first downs were made! In the end Tyaa would beat Bixby Red 7-0! Coach Jordan (Tyaa Blue) was truly a gracious winner and one of the best coaches I had been around! RIP BIG MAN

Second GradeAnother great year for football! One of my favorite memories of this year was our game with Tyaa Blk! Winner goes to the championship game! We were down 6-0 and my son broke off a long run in the 3rd qtr to tie the game and we would convert the XP! I never ran so fast down the sidelines lol! They scored with less than a minute left in the game and won 12-7 and went onto the championship
It was a tough lose but they were a great team and better than night!
MM Tournament!! Super Bowl rematch between Bixby Red and TYAA Blue! Winner of that game was pretty much expected to win it all! Once again Tyaa Blue would let the world know they were the undisputed champs of MM FOOTBALL! The year Owasso Red and Haskell let everyone know they were gonna be a contender for years to come! Ored and Haskell would meet up and the winner had Tyaa Blue! ORED would beat Haskell in a close one and would have their shot at TYAA Blue! Like most teams TYAA Blue was to much and Coach Rushing would eventually take his Bulldogs to their second straight title!

3RD GRADE We combined teams this year and had 27kids and was lucky enough to make the playoffs as a 3 seed! The bad news we had Owasso Red first round! One of my all time favorite moments was before that game both teams came together and prayed at midfield! It was a incredible moment made possible by Everett and his team along with ours! Still to this day my son remembers this moment! Now as far as the game Owasso Red beat us into submission 25-6! I thought they were a team of destiny!
Game of the year!! The second round playoffs of 3rd grade featured one of the most exciting games that ever happened in the INFC! Owasso Red as a huge underdog would take on the 2 time defending champs! Owasso Red behind #10 and #8 came out strong and jumped out to a early 7-6 lead! They would take that lead all the way to the final play of the game! What happened on the final play of the game was absolutely amazing(Everett don't read) Tyaa Blue would score on a long play as time expired and I remember as the bulldog player was running down the field seeing coach Rushing running what I believe to this day to be a 4.30 40 yd dash! The 2 time champs pulled off a thriller in one of the greatest games I have ever witnessed! We talked about this game the whole way home and what could have been! Tyaa Blue would ultimately make it back to the championship game!
Teams that won playoff games that year were Bixby Red, FTG, Jenks White, Bixby Blue, Union Silver(Will anyone score lol) Tyaa White, Tyaa Blue and ORED!
Championship!! THE YEAR OF BIXBY RED! 3rd time was a charm! For the 3rd straight year Tyaa Blue would Play Bixby Red! Unlike the other 2 games that were defensive battles this one was was lopsided in the favor of Bixby Red! They dominated the entire game and won in dominating fashion 25-0! It was truly a dominating year for RED as they were unstoppable and I think this was the most dominating team since I have been around the league!
4th GRADE!I still have nightmares of Coach J TEAM beating us by 200! I thought we were halfway decent and he let me know we weren't lol! Would this be the year someone else besides Bixby Red and Tyaa Blue play in the championship game?
Lets jump right to the playoffs (In my Jim Mora voice)
Tyaa Blue, Skiatook,Haskell,ORED, Bixby Red, BA Silver, Stillwater and Tyaa Red would all win their first round playoff games! Bixby Red would again go onto beat Tyaa Blue and ultimately beat Haskell to make the championship for the second straight year! On the other side of the Bracket you had Stillwater and everyone else! Stillwater would win every game with ease and would set up a showdown with Bixby Red for the championship? Stillwater Blue would go on to win it all and beat Bixby Red! I can't remember the score but I think Blue won by 2 TD'S if I am not mistaken!
5th GRADEWould the defending champ roll through the league again or would Bixby Red and Tyaa Blue have something to say about that?

Turns out this would be the year of upsets in the playoffs! Tyaa Blue would shock the defending champs in an upset! I remember how surprised I was that Stillwater got beat! Tyaa Blue coming off a big upset would then be upset them selves by rival TYAA Red! Tyaa Red would make it all the way to the ship where they would face the eventual winner of Bixby Red and Ored! BIXBY RED would end up beating ORED and would meet Tyaa Red in the Championship! In a year where nobody was safe in the playoffs would TYAA Red shock the world and beat the goliath that was Bixby Red? The answer NO! Bixby RED would win it all again just like 3rd grade!

Guys it has been a pleasure to coach these kids over the last 6 years! I look back and see how much has changed since 1st grade and I am just shocked! New teams have risen and I have seen a lot of great coaches in this league! I have learned a lot from coaching these kids over the past 6 years and I have made a lot of friends along the way! Thanks you to all of the volunteer coaches who have stepped up and dedicated their time, money, energy into coaching these kids to be the best athletes they can be but more importantly to be the best young men they can be! I wish you guys all the best and I hope everyone has a great final regular season home game!!
