Graduating to 7th Grade
« on: December 01, 2015, 01:06:19 pm »
Once again, it was another great year of youth football at its best.  It's time to move up to 7th Grade.  For those that will be moving up, looking forward to seeing and possibly competing with you next year.

Until next year, Butkus signing off.

Wishful thinking!  Needed time away to distract me from the notion that football is over

Amen Steve!!! It was a great year of football, not the season we wanted but the boys learned a ton from a losing season. They learned about heart, dedication to themselves, and not falling apart as a team. The most inspiring aspect of being a coach was to see the boys still smiling at years end. They were disappointed but they are winners in our book, 1 bad season doesn't define who they are.Yes it is possible to have fun while losing !!!!! We get to hand our group off to school ball where the pressure to win is not that high. It has been a great experience knowing we had a positive influence on a group of young men and young women. Our parents were great again, even though we lost all but 1 game this year, they truly know the character of thier kids and coaches. Enjoy the moment, now we get to sit and watch! Peace out, once a mustang always a mustang .

Mike, you are blessed to have such a great group of boys and the leadership you provide them is top notch. Leadership's attitude is everything for these players.  It's all about the players and the positive inspirations us coaches provide them that they can carry with them as they continue to mature and take into their life's journey.  Peace to you brother.
