Divisional Breakdown Week 2
« on: September 14, 2020, 09:01:48 am »
For most, this is the last year in INFC. Already two games in. I remember gearing up for the first MM game just yesterday. Next thing you know, they'll be 16 and driving. Enjoy, and hold on to these precious moments!

D1
All non division games from this past week. West side went 5-3 with all 5 wins coming by shutout (Twolves, Bulldogs, Piedmont, Choctaw, Westmoore). The Wolves, and Huskies were blanked by the east side, while Yukon lost in the final minutes. The west side wrapped up non division play with a record of 11-4, as it's all division games from here on out. There are some HUGE matchups this upcoming week as the consensus top 4 teams will all square off against one another! Westmoore is quietly 2-0, while Yukon, and the other Edmond's all hope to shake it up a little bit in these next few weeks. Should be the most exciting west side season we've had. Keep us updated Press.

Key games this week: Choctaw @ Edmond Bulldogs Norman Twolves @ Piedmont

D2
Shouldn't be a surpirse to anyone that the last 3 INFC champions from this grade sit in the top 3 spots through 2 weeks. BA Black and Jenks Maroon both are 2-0, maxing out their marginal points. (Week 6 can't get here fast enough 🍿) Bixby Red went out of division and shut the scoreboard off to welcome the Huskies into the INFC. After some lopsided week 1 games, JW and Mac did a 180 and picked up convincing wins. BA White lost the battle of BA to drop them to 1-1. It's an unusual sight seeing Bixby Blue at the bottom of a division, as they have their work cut out for them in terms of earning a playoff bid. Will need to atleast clip the champs to have a shot imo.. O-Black and U-Black look to get into the win column. JW takes a week off division play. Rivalry game ahead in week 3!

1. BA Black 2-0 +16
1. Jenks Maroon 2-0 +16
3. Bixby Red 1-0 +2

Still in contention:
BA White 1-1 0
Jenks White 1-1 0
McAlester 1-1 0
U-Black 0-1 -8
Bixby Blue 0-2 -10
O-Black 0-2 -16

Eliminated: None

Key games this week: Bixby Red @ Jenks Maroon

D3
The preseason top 3 have showed exactly what they're about these first two weeks en route to 2-0 starts. All mercy rule victories. Glenpool and O-White have yet to surrender a score. 4 teams sitting at 1-1. Jenks Black comes out of nowhere and shocks everyone outside Jenks nation by beating Verdigris, while U-Silver bounced back with a nice win over Coweta. Tough sledding, but BK, Silver, and Coweta have everything in front of them. There will be some shift at the top come this time next week as the mighty LC's take on the G-men in week 3. Game of the week for sure!

1. Glenpool 2-0 +16
1. LC 2-0 +16
1. O-White 2-0 +16

Still in contention:
Jenks Black 1-1 0
Union Silver 1-1 0
Muskogee 1-1 -7
Verdigris 1-1 -7
BA Silver 0-2 -9
Coweta 0-2 -9
BK 0-2 -16

Eliminated: None

Key Games this week: LC @ Glenpool Verdigris @ Union Silver

AA1
All non division games from this past week. Berryhill and Platinum remain the lone unbeatens as they both posted 12-0 shutouts. Sand Springs played the AA favorites to a competitive game, while Stilly held an explosive Piedmont team to under 20. Choctaw and Norman are hoping that the third weeks the charm. Division play kicks off this week, with the east side hitting the road. Norman is out of division, and Platinum gets the dreaded bye week. Blah! SS, Plat, and B'hill are my early playoff picks from this division. Prove me wrong west side!

Key games this week: Berryhill @ Stillwater

AA2
All non division games from this past week. BA Chrome got to hear for two weeks about Sapulpa, and did to them (held scoreless) what Edmond couldn't. Dutch scored in the final 2 min to remain undefeated. Hilldale and Claremore suffered their first losses to solid opponents. O-Red and Cville are getting back in the swing of things after the rona hit em. And I know it was a tough draw having to play the Twolves in Norman, but did Seqouyah really forfeit? 🤦‍♂️C'mon maaaan. Would love to know the reasoning behind that decision. Division play kicks off for everyone but Hilldale, as they'll make the trek across I-40.

Key games this week: Claremore @ BA Chrome

AA3
All non division games from this past week. Heard Ft Gibson was short handed, and beat SS by 2 scores? If true, that's impressive. Catoosa wasn't gonna let the west beat em two weeks in a row as they put it on Norman. Bartlesville went on the road and pitched a shutout, while the Commandos won their home opener. Sapulpa and Skiatook fell to 0-2, while the Yellowjackets will be chomping at the bit to play some football as it'll be 3 weeks in between games for them. Division play gets underway for everyone but Skiatook, as they'll play host to Jenks White.

Key games this week: Catoosa @ Bartlesville

Love these Cards! Everybody is still in it to win it. Gotta coach these boys up to the task and let it play out on Saturdays. The meat of the schedule should be fun!

...Next thing you know, they'll be 16 and driving...

No joke, some of these kids look and play like they drove themselves to the game!  Crazy some of the physical disparities that start to emerge in 6th grade!

@Cards, you are definitely the single greatest contributor to this grades forum!  The details of these breakdowns is awesome, and I am sure that takes a ton of time!  Especially as you start tracking all the potential paths as the season progresses, and who's technically in and out of contention!  Should be another great year, and glad you help keep us so well informed!

Now, message me back an addy, so I can get you that pumpkin spice gift card brutha!!

Wow, Cards! These are incredible breakdowns (especially for the west)!

It will definitely be an incredible game at 9 am in Edmond. Choctaw has been a rising power in the west in almost all of the grades (my son's 7th grade school team travels to Choctaw Thursday night for what could be the battle of the year for them). That T-wolves/Piedmont game should be a good one too! This weekend should go a long ways to start to define the best in the west.

I will do my best to keep everyone updated as I can!
