AA:1 pick em's week 8
« on: October 17, 2018, 10:43:12 am »
Oh my with Fall break upon us and the playoffs on the line.

Collinsville vs Sapulpa Blue-(GOTW) Collinsville coming off with a big win and a well put together game plan. Sapulpa Blue trying to find their MOJO. Sap boys setting at -8 points and Collinsville setting at -18 and both teams chasing the fourth playoff spot. If Collinsville wins by 8 points putting them at -10 and last game vs. South Tulsa could put them at -2 and secure the 4th seed in AA-1. Sapulpa wins by 8 points it will secure the 4th seed most likely as the have a tougher opponent in Jenks to close out. This Saturdays forecast looks prime with clear and mid 60's. Dial it in and strap it up, should be one heck of a game. Good luck !!!

Cascia Hall vs. Jenks- Cascia Hall has proven to be the team with no weakness. Jenks got hit with the injury bug and has not bounced back, good group of young men. Cascia wins.

Metro vs. Berryhill- Berryhill is going to pound the ball and control the clock. Can Metro's defense show up on a short week with fall break and missing some players? Going to be a Homer here and say Metro wins in a tough game.

Glennpool vs. South Tulsa- Glennpool wins big

AA-2-
Make up game tonight Hilldale vs. Coweta. This game should go the twelve rounds and has big implications on seeding for the playoffs.

Let's see what happens and good luck everyone.

Nice picks.  Don't forget about that Checotah v Claremore matchup in AA2.  Should be a good one.

Sorry I’m late to get this in but here it is nevertheless.  I’m not sure why we split up AA:1 and AA:2 on the pick ems.  I guess I have to post each separately now.

AA:1
Sapulpa Blue vs Collinsville – (GOTW) I expect this to be a good game.  Collinsville has had a tough season but I can assure you they don’t play like a 2 and 5 team.  Likewise Sapulpa Blue has had a tough season and also do not fit their record.  Either team could still make the playoffs so this game is critical.  I give Collinsville the edge just because they have some momentum.  Collinsville in a close one.

South Tulsa vs Glenpool – The biggest element holding South Tulsa back is depth.  Having to play with barely enough kids to make a starting lineup would be difficult for Bill Belichick to win a game.  One thing is true those kids are tough and if they can pick up more players for next year they might improve significantly.  That being said, I’m not sure a 20 kid South Tulsa roster would beat Glenpool right now.  I think the loss against Cascia really fired Glenpool up and they are smooth rolling.  Glenpool shuts the scoreboard off.

Jenks Maroon vs Cascia Hall – Well this was definitely not how I expected the season to go for Jenks.  All teams deal with key injuries and we dealt with it poorly.  Jenks sits at the bottom of the division and now gets to play the top team.  All I can say is it’s always dangerous to go into battle against an opponent that has nothing to lose.  For Jenks the rest of the season is just about pride.  No prediction from me on this game.

Berryhill vs Metro – I think Berryhill has the ability and talent to beat Metro but Metro does a great job at making adjustments and being prepared.  Metro takes this one by 2 TDs.
