Divisional Breakdown Week 3
« on: September 15, 2019, 01:40:26 pm »
D1
With D1 and D2 having only 6 teams, there's two less division games than those in D3,D4, and D5. Which a) mathematically makes it easier to get in, but b) leaves you less margin for error.. Stillwater has already played 3 division games, while Choctaw and Yukon have yet to play one. With only 2 games remaining for Stilly, this weeks game vs Choctaw is essentially an elimination game for them having already lost to Piedmont and Norman.

Piedmont +16
Norman Twolves +8
Choctaw Gold/Yukon Red 0

Still in contention:
Stillwater Blue -8
Edmond Wolves -16

Eliminated: None
Key Games this week: Choctaw Gold vs Stillwater Blue

D2
Kinda have the same thing going on here. Choctaw and Westmoore haven't played a single division game while Yukon has played 3.. Nothing personal, I just see this as the weakest overall division.

Edmond Bulldogs +16
Yukon White +7
Choctaw Blue/Westmore 0

Still in contention:
Norman Tigers -8
Stillwater Gold -15

Eliminated: None
Key Games this week: Yukon White vs Westmoore

D3
The defending champs, along with Mac and O-White came out strong and got their full 8 points. Glenpool clipped a tough BA team by an extra point to give them a big time opening week win in the division. A bunch of great coaching minds that will have their hands full week in, week out.

Jenks Maroon +8
McAlester +8
Owasso White +8

Still in contention:
Glenpool +1
BA White -1
BA Chrome -8
Muskogee -8
Union Black -8

Eliminated: None
Key Games this week: Owasso White vs Jenks Maroon

D4
In my opinion, this is going to be the most fun division to watch play out! 3 teams maxed their marginal points opening week, while Big Red hushed the doubters for a week with their win over JW. Coweta is the surprise team up to this point with #26 paving the way. 1/3 of the way in, I see 5 potential playoff candidates for only 3 available spots. Buckle up!!

BA Black +8
Coweta Black +8
Lincoln Christian +8

Still in contention:
Bixby Red +6
Jenks White -6
Claremore -8
Owasso Black -8
Wagoner -8

Eliminated: None
Key Games this week: BA Black vs LC

D5
All four matchups were maxed out this week. Everyone kinda figured TYAA and Bixby would be the two favorites, but who's that third team that's going to emerge and separate themselves from the pack. SS, U-Silver, Plat, Silver, Catoosa, and Jenks hopes it's them!

Bixby Blue +8
Sand Springs +8
TYAA +8
Union Silver +8

Still in contention:
BA Platinum -8
BA Silver -8
Catoosa -8
Jenks Black -8

Eliminated: None
Key Games this week: Bixby Blue vs Union Silver (NO FIGHTING THIS TIME!!!!)

AA1
After going 0-2 in their non division games, Bville and Verdy were glad to start division play, and got their full 8 in the process. Pryor is the only undefeated team left. Hilldale starts division play this week, as I expect them to do very well! And dont count out Seqouyah as they only lost to Pryor by a score.

Bartlesville Blue +8
Verdigris +8
Pryor +7
Hilldale 0

Still in contention:
Seqouyah -7
Coweta White -8
Skiatook -8

Eliminated: None
Key Games this week: Verdigris vs Sequoyah

AA2
BK got off to the best start, as they're the only ones who maxed out their marginal points. ST and Berryhill were the others that claimed opening week victories. Collinsville opens division play this week. Bville and HH are good!! 4 undefeated teams remain. Gonna be fun!

Bishop Kelley +8
South Tulsa +7
Berryhill +1
Collinsville 0

Still in contention:
Holland Hall -1
Bartlesville White -7
Sapulpa -8

Eliminated: None
Key Games this week: ALL
