Week 1 Scrimmages
« on: August 13, 2016, 10:41:19 pm »
What's your thoughts after the first week of scrimmages? What teams stood out?

From the 6:00 Session at BA

Jenks Silver still has it. They have some big boys up front on the o-line, and a good running game. Their defense looked very tough as well.

Lincoln Christian aired it out. QB has a strong arm.

I thought everybody looked good except my offense lol. But got the fix on that so hopefully we'll be moving in right direction and get a lil smoother next week.

I will say this....if Verdy was in A they would be a playoff team. Real solid team!!

I thought BA Black looked good and Glenpool's defense was strong...

On the 10:00 scrimmages BA Black looked the best.  Bixby blue always impresses . I think the rematch between BA Black and Bixby Blue may have a different outcome this year.

wait a minute scrimmages were this week? LOL

i can only go by my "sources"

Bixby Red- Of course when you have a great leader in coaching staff and QB on the field you wont miss a beat. They did really well after some of the rust wore off.
Glenpool- stout on offense and defense. They are a teams nightmare when you break them down.
S Tulsa- very much improved from last years team. I am not sure if its new coaches, players, or a combo of both. They showed me something
BK Red- really good size at every position. They looked good also for it being the 1st scrimmage
O Red- I saw a few beautifully thrown passes. I am going to leave it at that.
BA Platinum- I hope I am not confusing this team with the other BA teams. QB looked solid
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Haskell- They got a lot of good work in to improve in a wide open AA division. They have some good athletes but have a feeling they kept things hidden.
Jenks Silver- this team is by far in mid season form.  They have great runners and line is massive. this is a recipe for another division title and deep run in playoffs
Muskogee White- good offensive formations. QB has a strong arm and athletes are fast. Can break one at any given time
Mac Black- "Mac Attack" is back and I'll say this. they are a match up issue for some teams.
LC- This team is truly a air it out team. I respect them for sticking to their guns and not changing for anyone. No matter the team, or defense they are back at it. Development is their #1 priority in my opinion. Props to them.
BA Orange- This team is learning and building as a unit. I saw some things that they can take back in build on for a solid season.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
O Black- This team is back with force. I love their RB he has heart the size of four lineman. Great team
Jenks White- I saw some new faces on coaching staff and players. Solid coaches I feel they will do fine
Union Silver- Let me say that they were the team I felt showed me the most. They fired on offense and defense. No winners/losers in a scrimmage, but I think this momentum will carry throughout the season
Catoosa- Good size kids and I think will make some noise in AA.
Bixby White- Listen when I tell you. this team has the making of a playoff run. I predict all three Bixby teams in playoffs this year
Sapulpa Blue- This team reflects the coaching staff. They ready to lineup with whoever, whenever. Respect to all of those kids and players
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BA Silver- I saw some athletes on this team and I feel the same way about this team and Union Silver. Great momentum leading into the season
Berryhill Blue- Tough squad, nice size and also an athletic defense flying to the ball
BA Gold- looks like a new coach at the helm. 3rd one in 3 years has to be a little rough, but they have some talent to compete from what i saw
Union Black-I love these kids. I know most of them.
Coweta Black- They showed everyone why they are the heavy favorite in D4. They have size, speed, and a great coach. recipe for division title.
Owasso Silver- This team has a RB now. I dont think I seen him last year when we played. In my honest opinion. I think thats one spot they needed and he was every bit of fast and athletic and big as any back in INFC.
