How did it go? Did anyone look really impressive or are we all in the same boat?

Grove and Bixby Blue looked solid out in Glenpool today. Grove should fit in just fine in A ball this year. Bixby Blue still has one of the best one-two combo’s with Max blocking for Asher.

Berryhill looks like the team to beat in AA. Great coaches and kids on that team.

Jenks White has a solid D and their coaches are running some good plays on offense. This team will improve a bunch throughout the season.

Coweta black has some of the best tacklers in the grade on this team. Jeter is a super nice kid, but put a football helmet in him, he transforms into the meanest kid you’ve ever seen on the football field. Tytan will be slinging the ball around some more this year which should be fun to watch. Should be another great season for the Tigers

Union silver- big and physical up front! 53 is a beast, I don’t think they have the same RB but they added some speed.

Metro- has some decent size once they figure it out they will be good.

Wagoner- good size, there safety likes to hit. De-cleated my boy on the sideline. 😂😂

Skiatook- same team, big up front, physical

Mcalester- did get to play them but I seen good size and heard there defense hooping and hollering and lots of pads popping.

Looking forward to next week!

Why doesn’t TYAA participate in the INFC sanctioned pre-season scrimmages? Seems like that would be the easiest thing for you to do Curtdogg if you really wanted to face these schools you just listed.

We have some things to fix at Coweta Black right now, we lost some kids, haven’t grown much and changed offenses. But we can do some things and we think a few weeks down the road we cd be a lot better.    Owasso has great speed and size, has a chance to be in the mix—- Jenks Silver is much improved and has grown. Their 5 man front will give a lot of people fits—- BA white is a new team that is learning—- Catoosa has some holes but has 3 kids that get around really good.

What were some of your impressions coming away from your session?

Was it not Coweta White playing those teams? The schedule said Coweta White so just curious.

Holland Hall has some big boys on the line. They were tough to block at times.

Lincoln Christian has a shifty back and likes to throw the ball around.

Claremore had some trouble against our defense.

BA Black had some decent size.

Looking forward to this weeks scrimmage. Want to see how we compare to different teams.

our D line at HH is strong. But we have spent time this week getting our backs caught up with playing in space.

Cardinals have a smothering defense! Very strong. Those boys have heart. It’s made us at Holland Hall readjust And get our pass game stronger to back their lb’s down more and hopefully keep them in coverage, as well, get our o-line blocking better. Great work to the cardinals, and you helped us a lot!

Did anyone else notice the QB from Lincoln? He’s scary good on the pass. And even when you think you have the pass covered, he will thread it on you! Lol
Fun to watch! Love seeing these kids growing each year, and watching their development.

The scrimmages were awesome. Great teams, great coaches, and a great start.
