WEEK 1 PICK EM'S & GOTW/NOTABLE GAMES
« on: August 20, 2019, 05:06:39 pm »

Welcome to the season boys and girls! Good luck to you all this year. I'm keeping with tradition and keeping my pick em's going! This is just for EPO!
Division 1

Edmond Wolves Vs Stillwater Blue (Stillwater Blue) I'm assuming this is the new Edmond team. And I just like Stillwater for no reason at all lol! Once I have film on all teams after week 1 it will be way easier for me to have an understanding of each team week 1 could be rough.

Non-Division
Norman T-Wolves Vs Westmoore (Norman) Those boys are on another level! Playmakers everywhere. I love that backfield and I Guarantee the big weight change this year is going to benefit that team greatly.

Choctaw Gold Vs Norman Tigers (Choctaw Gold) Love those uni's and they were big last year assuming there just bigger and better this year. The film will help me have a better chance of breaking them down after week 1.

Piedmont Vs Choctaw Blue (Choctaw Blue) I had to google piedmont so I had to go Blue!

Yukon Red Vs Edmond Bulldogs (Edmond) I got a big feeling they will be in the semi-finals if the draft went well. and there the team with the previous coaching staff. That staff did great things with there schedule last year and all those kids.

Division 2

Yukon White Vs Stillwater Gold (Stillwater Gold) No clue

Division 3

All Non-Division Games

***GOTW*** Glenpool Vs Ba Black (Glenpool) We looking at size vs speed matchup. Ba Black has been at the top since 11 man football for many reasons. There coaching staff takes the time to prepare for each game and make sure those kids are ready to play. There Nose Guard is an incredible player and really disrupts a lot of plays. I look forward to seeing my old b-ball players and flex players! They run smash-mouth football and they do it very well. This game is all about bragging rights means nothing for playoffs but we defiantly excited to play and hope for a good game.

Broken Arrow Chrome Vs Jenks Black (Jenks Black) Might be a new team but all Jenks boys know how to play football.

Broken Arrow White Vs Catoosa (Ba-White) Ba looks to have lost there head coach or he has been on vacation for both scrimmages. They looked good just run right at you and the QB can throw a little. The cowboy can score any play. Catoosa is solid this year great running backs and i look forward to them having a good year. This game will be close could go either way.

***GOTW 2*** Jenks Maroon Vs Bixby Red (Jenks Maroon) The Jet is an unreal player. Incredible speed not even grown adults catching that kid! I mean the jet can score on 11 kids with no blocking. Then you throw in a well-coached team with good size and great blockers going to be hard to stop. They will score more than 20pts every game. You want to beat them you better be scoring every drive. #98 is a hog that boy got better! Bixby Red 3rd grade champs with alot of great kids! They play great defense and need to make every tackle and not let the jet loose to be in this game. I think Bixby score 2-3 times but Jenks will be scoring more 32-19 Maroon. I like both coaching staffs and know both will be ready for the game! Good Luck Boys!

Mcalester vs Coweta Black (Mcalester) Someone told me Mcalester was no good! Then I sat over there and watched there scrimmage Saturday night and was amazed how wrong that person was! They will make the playoffs! They have the size of a 6th-grade team and a QB that can throw the ball to any receiver. Their RB is fast and very shifty there going to win a lot of games. The guards and tackles pull! They running real offense of plays!

Muskogee Vs Ba Plat (Ba Plat) Ba Plat has a solid defense and they will be swarming Muskogee offense.

Owasso White Vs Wagoner (O-White) They got a lot of kids this year will have to see how they handle it! That can be tough for sure. But the got a scrappy squad for sure. They have a solid coaching staff too.

Union Black Vs Tyaa (Tyaa) They Combined teams! They going to be a top team this year for sure might be like the old mighty mite days.

Division 4

All Non-Division Games

***GOTW*** Glenpool Vs Ba Black (Glenpool) We looking at size vs speed matchup. Ba Black has been at the top since 11 man football for many reasons. I like both coaching staffs and know both will be ready for the game! Good Luck Boys!

Claremore Vs Sand Springs (Sand Springs) Well last year was a disappointment for ss after there 3rd-grade year. I think the combined team will be a better fit for them even if they have 30 kids. Claremore lost their stud and I didn't see coach4fun out there. They will be good but I think ss pulls the upset.

Jenks White Vs Ba Silver (Jenks White) #22 Game changer boy can run and just incredible defense of skill always trying to stirp that ball.

Lincoln Christian Vs Bixby Blue (Bixby Blue) Welcome back! Bixby is huge and just looked really good in both scrimmages they going to be tough to beat. They run a simple offense but i haven't seen a soul stop it including us from last year! Lc is solid but they lost some skill guys. But Blue will have a hard time running right at that nose who might be second best nose behind the ba boy!

Owasso Black Vs Union Silver (U-Silver) have not seen either team this year but U-Silver was solid last year!

Owasso White Vs Wagoner (O-White) They got a lot of kids this year will have to see how they handle it! That can be tough for sure. But the got a scrappy squad for sure. They have a solid coaching staff too.

Know nothing about the east except the 2 we played last year. Jenks maroon and Bixby blue(both impressive). Jenks didn't pass the eye test, but they threw the ball like the 03 sooners. Well coached would be an understatement!  What I've seen from the west...Norman tigers look better, not where they need to be yet. Norman North still has tons of speed, their guys didn't look as big as last year, but they run my favorite offense. One hole and you aren't catching them. Edmond Bulldogs I thought were the most intimidating team we played last year. They still look good, but I don't think as good as last year(could have been sandbagging at scrimmage). Edmond wolves and Yukon should finish from middle to bottom half of west. Both choctaw teams are better(watch out for gold). Stillwater only had one team last year, I wasn't impressed, so with 2 I think they will drop more. Piedmont Westmoore, not a clue. Guess we'll find out Saturday.

Stillwater Blue @ Edmond Wolves EDMOND
Stillwater Gold @ Yukon White YUKON
Choctaw Blue @ Piedmont CHOCTAW
Norman Tigers @ Choctaw Gold CHOCTAW
Westmoore @ Norman North NORMAN
Edmond Bulldogs @ Yukon Red EDMOND

« Reply #1 on: August 20, 2019, 08:58:38 pm »
Week 1 has finally arrived. Good luck to everyone this week! All Non-division games except for the two Stillwater games. Remember to get your picks in!

Choctaw Blue @ Piedmont- Piedmont is coming into their inaugural INFC season after winning their respective league. Word is Norman North (Twolves) is the only team that will give them a run. I like the confidence! I like it enough that I'll pick em this week. But I won't be surprised if Choctaw won. PIEDMONT

Norman Tigers @ Choctaw Gold- I've read Norman has improved. I know that Choctaw has. Their defense will keep them in every game. I see them being a playoff team in their division. CHOCTAW GOLD

Stillwater Blue @ Edmond Wolves- Stilly split into two teams. For picks sake, I'm hoping Blue is the better of the two. Are the Wolves Santa Fe kids? STILLWATER BLUE

Stillwater Gold @ Yukon White- Coinflip goes to STILLWATER GOLD

Westmoore @ Norman Twolves- West side game of the week. Word is the Jags have won their respective league 3 years straight. They would definitely make a big time statement with a win week 1. The Twolves were the best of the west a season ago, and have goals to repeat. That trio in the backfield is one of the best in the league. MAYBE closer than some might think but we'll see. NORMAN TWOLVES

Edmond Bulldogs @ Yukon Red- I'm gonna stick with what I know. And that's that the Edmond Bulldogs are GOOD! And I'd imagine probably have a little extra motivation going into this season. EDMOND wins big.

Jenks Maroon @ Bixby Red- This is my overall game of the week. What an opening week contest this will be! 2018 champs vs 2017 champs. Two experienced, and super talented teams. Playmakers all over the field. I expect this to be a close game. Either way, you'll see both these teams playing in November. Edge goes to JENKS MAROON.

Glenpool @ BA Black- This is my second overall game of the week. BA has back to back championship game appearances, falling both years to the above mentioned teams. Glenpool is super consistent. Playoff team every year. Big wins every year. Just darn good at what they do. Both well coached teams. Would love to watch it live. BA BLACK by an extra point.

Lincoln Christian @ Bixby Blue- This is my honorable mention for game of the week. Bixby made a deep run to the semis last year, while LC finished the season as AA champs. If Bixby can get to them early, I think it will bode well for them, as I dont think LC trailed for not 1 second in any game last year. Lol. With that said, give me BIXBY BLUE

BA White @ Catoosa- These two played in the middle of the season last year with BA coming out on top 31-6. Both have playoff aspirations, and hope to start their respective campaigns off on the right foot. This could be the year the Indians earn a seat at the table. I'm pulling for a week one upset. CATOOSA

BA Platinum @ Muskogee- Going with the team that made the playoffs last year. BA PLATINUM

Claremore @ Sand Springs- If Claremore did in fact lose #23, that's a big time blow for them. SS I would imagine will be fighting the numbers problem with being back to one team, but the math says they play better as one unit. SAND SPRINGS

Wagoner @ Owasso White- I'll be excited to see how these Rams do. They were the surprise team of the year a season ago. Well coached group that will be ready for battle every week. A win on the road for Wagoner would be big time! OWASSO WHITE

BA Silver @ Jenks White- Tough opening game for Silver.. Jenks White was healthy last year and played exceptional football. If they are healthy again, I dont see much changing. JENKS WHITE wins big

Coweta Black @ McAlester- Coweta is another team I'm eager to see. They have had their ups and downs. The talent is there though. Mac town has got some hype. Even some early playoff prediction votes. I think it's very possible! McALESTER impresses and wins by 2-3 scores.

Union Silver @ Owasso Black- Two clubs that went from 3 teams down to 2 this year. As far as Union, I wonder what part of the Red team they picked up. If they drafted to their needs, they could be even better than they were the last two years (playoff appearances) Owasso will always be competitive. Just high on numbers, and lost their RB. I think UNION SILVER wins comfortably.

BA Chrome @ Jenks Black- AA runner ups, against a new Jenks team. I go back and forth. Prove me wrong Chrome. JENKS BLACK

Union Black @ TYAA- I need someone to check and see when the last time was, if ever, that a TYAA team lost a season opener? TYAA

AA
Coweta White @ Berryhill- These two played one another last year with B'hill coming out on top. I see the same results. BERRYHILL

Skiatook @ Collinsville- It has taken 5 years, but the highway 20 bowl 2027 edition is finally taking place. Good bunch of kids over there in the Took, but I'm pretty partial to the ones in the Ville! Bragging rights are on the line! COLLINSVILLE

Hilldale @ Sapulpa- Two newbies to the AA division this year. Have played both in the past. I forecast both teams to do well. The Hornets get a hard fought road victory week 1. HILLDALE

Seqouyah @ Bartlesville White- Will know more bout these teams soon. Give me SEQUOYAH

Bartlesville Blue @ South Tulsa- Shaffer hit the nail on the head with this ST bunch. Definitely have something brewing over there. The split to two teams will do B'ville good. This Blue squad played some solid teams tough at the scrimmages. BARTLESVILLE BLUE starts off with the W.

Holland Hall @ Pryor- Not sure what HH has to offer. Pryor should be one of the favorites in AA. They were competitive in every game last year, playing two playoff teams (BA White/Tyaa) to 12-0 games. PRYOR

Bishop Kelley @ Verdigris- Like Pryor, I feel like BK is one of the favorites in AA. They are are tough bunch who also played two playoff teams close last year (TYAA 7-0/ U-Silver 12-7) BISHOP KELLEY

Great write ups as usual fellas.  I will have mine up today or tomorrow depending on time.  One heck of a first week.  Definitely going to be two weeks of joy/sorrow for a lot of teams win or lose.  Heck some of these matchups the boys might need two weeks to recover.

Man, if I don't start seeing more posts from @Grandad, this season definitely won't be the same!  Where you at buddy!  Give the people what they want!!  ha ha

Here's my picks, all in fun of course!

Stillwater Blue @ Edmond Wolves assuming this is the core of the single Edmond team from last year.
Stillwater Gold @ Yukon White, know nothing about Yukon, so we’ll see!
Choctaw Blue @ Piedmont
Norman Tigers @ Choctaw Gold
Westmoore @ Norman Twolves - Norman goes undefeated in division!
Edmond Bulldogs @ Yukon Red, not sure which Edmond team got all the talent from last years team, but know nothing on Yukon, so going with my former D4 (2018) buddies, Edmond!
Jenks Maroon @ Bixby Red - this is definitely the overall GOTW, and will be a close one!
Glenpool @ BA Black - I think Glenpool is on a mission after their earlier than expected exit from the Playoffs this year.
Lincoln Christian @ Bixby Blue - This one is REALLY tough.  I love Bixby Blue, and a team that just dares you to try and stop them.  LC is new to single A level, and they look to be solid.  But, I’m going with a proven Single A talent, over a team I’ve only seen on Defense.  But, I think it could go either way, and will be a great test to see where LC is at.  We already know Bixby Blue can ball, as a semifinalist from last year!
BA White @ Catoosa - will be great to see how Catoosa plays, I think they’ll surprise a lot of people this year.  Those kids play hard!
BA Platinum @ Muskogee
Claremore @ Sand Springs
Wagoner @ Owasso White - Owasso is going to have a great year!
BA Silver @ Jenks White - love this team, and they’re even better this year than last!
Coweta Black @ McAlester
Union Silver @ Owasso Black
BA Chrome @ Jenks Black - Rookies of the year!!
Union Black @ TYAA

AA
Coweta White @ Berryhill
Skiatook @ Collinsville - do they still have that #99 and # 7 from 3rd grade?  Haven't seen this team play since 3rd grade, but they were good and well coached.
Hilldale @ Sapulpa
Seqouyah @ Bartlesville White
Bishop Kelley @ Verdigris
Bartlesville Blue @ South Tulsa
Holland Hall @ Pryor

Well, I guess I finally get the chance to make my picks for this week. Look like some hellacious 1st week games coming up. I know we are now in AA but, as I have always said there will be no separation on my end. It has been nice to get back in the swing of things and chop it up with some of you guys. As always EPO and best of luck to you all this coming weekend.

Stillwater Blue vs Edmond Wolves - (Stillwater Blue) Going Stillwater here simply because they have been in the league longer and I know nothig about how the draft went for either school.

Stillwater Gold vs Yukon White - (Yukon White) Just a guess.

Choctaw Blue vs Piedmont -0 (Choctaw Blue) Experience is my reason here. INFC experience to be exact. I would think Piedmont is going to be competitive for the exact same reason as Yukon.

Norman Tigers vs Choctaw Gold - (Choctaw Gold) No clue really.

Westmoore vs Norman Twolves - (Norman T'Wolves) Top 6 team in this league without question.

Edmond Bulldogs vs  Yukon Red - (Edmond) I just assume that this Yukon team is the better of the 2 but, this Edmond team has always been legit.

Jenks Maroon vs  Bixby Red - **GOTW** (Jenks Maroon) Who in the hell wants to start their season off with either of these teams? Last years champs vs the previous years champs? Well one thing is for sure. It can't get much tougher from here on out. Iron sharpens Iron. Jenks wins a close one. Swish I could be there

Glenpool vs BA Black - **GOTW** (BA Black) I repeat my previous statement from above. Both of these teams are legit threats to win it all. The timing of this game sucks. This should be a week 6 matchup or later. With that being said it would not surprise me to see Glenpool pull out the W but, I do know for a fact that Black only got better which is saying something. I think size will be the ultimate factor in this game. Glenpool will match anyone's physicality and coaching. Wish I could watch this one live.

Lincoln Christian vs  Bixby Blue - **GOTW** (LC) Simply going with my gut here. I think Bixby could very easily win this game but, I just think LC is going to build off of last years championship so, early in the season. This Blue team has a history of getting better as the season progresses so, this is another matchup I would rather see around the midway point. In any case anyone that stands on top at the end of the day will not be a surprise. LC playing lesser competition a year ago could also end up being a factor. We shall see.

BA White vs Catoosa - (Catoosa) Never got to give my breakdown of that 2nd scrimmage I seen. I noticed BA White did not seem like the same team in years past. Sure Cowboy will instantly make any team a threat but, even defensively I was taken back a little. I did not see their HC from years past out and maybe that was why but, I do know this Catoosa team is HUNGRY. This will be a great matchup and if Catoosa can limit Cowboy to 1 score I think they will win a close one. I just have to go with ol Junebug here.

BA Platinum vs Muskogee - (BA Platinum) Remember I said it. Watch out for these guys! Platinum is legit and then some. Great coaching and speed everywhere. These guys will be in the mix for a playoff spot come seasons end.

Claremore vs Sand Springs - (Sand Springs) Didn't see Coach4fun or #23 out there for Claremore. I assume Sand Springs still has #5 and if they do I will take Sand Springs in this one.

Wagoner vs Owasso White - (Owasso White) I know O-White has a ton of kids but, they also have a really nice scheme and great coaching. It will be interesting to see how this game plays out though. Wagoner has the horses to make this one close.

BA Silver vs  Jenks White - (Jenks White) Quite simply put Jenks White is one of the 3 best teams I witnessed last Saturday in Owasso. #22 is phenomenal and if anyone missed little #12 (yes the kicker) run through the stud #2 from McAlester then you missed out on something special. If anyone recorded it I promise Sportcenter would take it. It was that impressive. That is with no disrespect to #2 at all becuase he is a SUPERSTAR. Wish my buddies over a BA Silver the best though.

Coweta Black vs McAlester - (McAlester) This team look AWESOME! They run a great offense and #2 is likeI said above a SUPERSTAR! The Qb can sling it and they have a kid that seems to catch EVERYTHING. Watch out for this McAlester team.

Union Silver vs Owasso Black - (Union Silver) Don't know much about either team honestly.

BA Chrome vs Jenks Black - (Jenks Black) Same as above.

Union Black vs TYAA - (TYAA) TYAA has finally given us our nightmare. They are only 1 team. Be afraid. Be very afraid. They will be one of the last teams standing in the end. Coaching staff is 2nd to none so, they have the Jimmy's and the Joes.

AA
Coweta White vs Berryhill - (Berryhill) Berryhill has always been scrappy. Very interested to see how this one turns out.

Skiatook vs Collinsville - **AA GOTW**(Collinsville)  This game should tell us a bunch about both squads early on. Those Dirty Birds will be on a mission this year. They are one of my 3 picks to be there in the end of AA.

Hilldale vs Sapulpa - (Hilldale) Always rolls with my Hornets no matter what but, this Sapulpa team is HUGE as usual. Looking forward to the challenge. Glad the temps are dropping for sure.

Seqouyah @ Bartlesville White - (Sequoyah) This Sequoyah team is scrappy! Very intrigued to see how they start the season off.

Bishop Kelley vs Verdigris - **AA GOTW** (Bishop Kelley) This one coulkd possibly go either way for sch an early season matchup but, these guys (Bishop Kelley) are one of my 3 picks to be there in the end of AA. #20 is a ballplayer but, if Verdigris can pull off the upset they would take that spot.

Bartlesville Blue vs South Tulsa - (Bartlesville Blue) South Tulsa could win this one but, I think the continuity of Blue gives them the edge in this game. They have been a team every year and they have played some of the toughest teams in our grade consistently year iun and year out. These guys are my sleeper.

Holland Hall vs Pryor - (Pryor) Pryor coming into AA makes them my Pre-Season favorite to win this Championship. My buddy ol J-Doug can match coaching wits with anyone and these boys have a ton of talent. Very interested to learn more about Holland Hall.

Once again best of luck to everyone. If you are going to cry or get mad do it on a burner account like KD. Peace!

« Reply #7 on: August 21, 2019, 09:26:26 pm »
I for one love all these week 1 monster match ups!  I feel like its more like college and the potential for some vern bigger games down the road during playoffs since most all these first week games are non-division.  They don't matter but they matter if you know what I mean.

Since most all these games this week, if not all of them, are non-divisional I will give my picks.

Choctaw Blue @ (Piedmont) Just cause I've heard Piedmont is pretty good.  I really have no idea.

Norman Tigers @ (Choctaw Gold) Norman will get their first TD of the season in this game.

Stillwater Blue  @ (Edmond wolves) With Stilly splitting my logic says Edmond splitting is better than Stilly splitting.
Stillwater Gold @ (Yukon White)

Westmoore @ Norman T Wolves TWolves all the way cause they stack their team so they shouldn't ever lose.  ::) ::) ::) ::)

(Edmond Bulldogs) @ Yukon Red Closer than we all think???

(Jenks Maroon) @ Bixby Red  Jenks Maroon wins 1-0 or 35-0 or somewhere in between.  Either way it's only gonna probably lead to some stellar playoffs games!

Glenpool @ (BA Black) BA Black cause the bad boys are back, retooled, and I hear they have a kicker now so now you have to score twice to their once (Unless you have a kicker too)

(Lincoln Christian) @ Bixby Blue LC will just spread BXBB too wide and give them too much to contend with.

(BA White) @ Catoosa White may take this one but don't sleep on Catoosa.  They are rough tough and get a lot of yards after contact.

(BA Platinum) @ Muskogee Unless Muskogee has recruited some kids from the Dominican Republic I don't see this one being close.

Claremore @ Sand Springs Sand Springs cause they have 60 kids on their team and a few of them are bound to score.

Wagoner @ (Owasso W) Big Boys gonna run over Wagoner

BA Silver @ (Jenks White) Even though these boys played last year and JW handled them the BA Silver team I saw during scrimmages seemed to have a new attitude and swagger so I think this one will be closer than expected but Imma still take JW with the W.

Coweta Black @ (McAlester) Big Mac's passing game that was a yard away from being maniacal last year should be more dialed in this year.

(Union Silver) @ Owasso Black-Union Silver will be pumping those arms and getting it done!

Union Black @ (Tyaa) Tyaa having one team could be the ruin of us all or a blessing.  I'm gonna guess its the first.

Good Luck to everyone and remember its youth football so make it about the kids.

All these dog days of summer practices and it's almost here... So close I can taste it... pumpkin spice lattes coming back on the menu...

Stillwater Blue @ Edmond Wolves- Not a ton of info on either team just yet, but I'll go Edmond to win a close one- Edmond Wolves 13-12

Stillwater Gold @ Yukon White- Ditto- Stillwater Gold 13-12

Choctaw Blue @ Piedmont- Heard from a guy who knew a guy that some guy said there were 3 top 5 overall INFC teams in the west.  Can't seem to find that thread though.  Maybe he's from Piedmont??? Maybe not???..... - Piedmont 21-6

Norman Tigers @ Choctaw Gold- Hoping for that one dudes sanity that the Tigers get their first W here and see some success.  I applaud them for keeping at it and showing up to play week in and week out regardless of outcomes.  Gotta roll with Choctaw cause pickems matter around here- Choctaw Gold 18-6

Westmoore @ Norman Twolves- Keep hearing these tales of West side dominance... well I'll be the first to admit this Twolves team can do just that.  Westmoore is rumored to be pretty salty, and they will blow my eyes  wide open if they take this opener against a top 3 team in the INFC- Twolves 33-12

Edmond Bulldogs @ Yukon Red- Edmond split to two teams with a total redraft? Well if they had enough talent to make two equal teams we ought to be watching out for that state championship run in about 5-6 years at the high school level! Have no clue what Yukon brings to the table, just operating off past info- Edmond Bulldogs 28-6

Jenks Maroon @ Bixby Red- GOTW 1A- The champs certainly showed us we have a lot of cleaning up to do if we plan to walk off the field with our heads held high in week 4 when they mopped the floor with us in our second scrimmage.  Well coached, tough as nails, and ready to fire on all cylinders would be understatements for this D.  Glad we didn't have to see #5 running wild on us either.  BIG RED has some unfinished business after the way the season went and the one and done playoff showing.  Their studs are back and healthy, and I'm sure are prepared for most of the curveballs the champs plan to throw.  I'm taking the 17' champs to come out on top in an early slugfest, and this one could be a healthy rematch in the dance later this year- BIG RED MACHINE- 21-20

Glenpool @ BA Black- GOTW 1B- Coachemup has this team operating like a formula 1 car in scrimmages, and its scary to think about what they are capable of when the lights come on and the scoreboard is working.  I didn't get to witness any added wrinkles, but just the hum drum offense they showed at the scrimmages was always on schedule and they have playmakers all over the joint.  #2 is an absolute weapon on either side of the ball and the QB runs that offense fluidly and flawlessly. BA Black comes in as two time runners-up and I'm positive  they expect a gold ball or bust this season.  Got the privilege of running D against their O and their size was impressive.  What they do, they do well and I can't help but wonder if BABlackwolf and CO kept their cards close to their vest.  Wouldn't surprise me in the least if a kid shows up to weigh in driving a 74' el camino with a girlfriend named Becky and runs a 4.3 40 at 109.9lbs. Whatever the case may be, its hard to pick against them but I gotta do it- Glenpool 20-14

Lincoln Christian @ Bixby Blue- GOTW 1C- Man what a good game of teams with great talent and coaching but totally different philosophies.  LC has some beef on the line, and #65 will be a nightmare for all those who have to face him.  If you "slip" through the line untouched as a Dlineman, you better have your head on a swivel. That qb can operate the offense with his eyes closed, and I'll be damned if I didn't think he used magic to fool us on the misdirection a couple times.  Bixby Blue has a ton of talent from top to bottom on their roster.  The coaches always have their boys ready for battle, and I wouldn't expect anything less.  I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried about this pick but I gotta go with- BIG BLUE 19-18

BA White @ Catoosa- Man if it didn't start to water down the GOTW moniker, here's another one up for consideration. BA white has more than one great ballplayer, and the backbone of both sides of the ball Cowboy is as good as they come. Catoosa is a well coached, hard hitting, tougher than nails football team with players and coaches that leave it all on the field.  Would love to see this one in person- Catoosa 14-13

BA Platinum @ Muskogee- BA Platinum has the beef! And the speed, and the coaching! I don't see them lying down in an early season match up with the roughers here. Muskogee has had its ups and downs over the last few years, but they always come ready to play- BA Platinum 21-6

Claremore @ Sand Springs- Claremore is a talented team with a ton of kids, but if the rumors are true that 23 left them after last season, then that hurts their chances at making the dance.  Haven't seen Sand Springs live and in color so can't say too much about them.  If coach4fun isn't leading the zebras than I'll take SS- Sandites 14-12

Wagoner @ Owasso White- Wagoner has playmakers that will stiff arm you in their nightmares.  If coweta's big back has the best stiff arm in our league, this RB has number 2.  Watched him punish LB after LB for trying to tackle high with bad angles.  This will be a good test against a well coached team- Owasso White for the W

BA Silver @ Jenks White- BA silver has improved from what I've personally seen on film, to the point where I think they could contend with most teams this season.  Jenks white on the other hand, looks like they will dominate most teams this season.  Well coached, classy players with a scheme that will leave you wondering what hit you.  #22 is just a prototypical stud all the way around. I see this one being over pretty early- White Trojans 28-0

Coweta Black @ McAlester- Coweta Black has hands down one of the best all around running backs in the league bar none.  That kid can flat out fly and will make you look silly on game tape.  Their coaches have them playing at high level if the scrimmages are any way indicative of how a team will perform, and I'm glad we don't have to face those boys. McAlester is an unkown to me, but you better believe I will be watching this film closely to prepare for that week 3 matchup.  I've heard alot about the high flying offense and it will be interesting to see how Coweta reacts against an O like that.  Gotta take the tigers- Coweta 20- 18

Union Silver @ Owasso Black- Union Silver looks like they are back and ready to roll, and if I had to admit they look like a team on a mission.  Those boys were flying around on D and just absolutely swarming opposing backs.  They have speed to burn and will hammer you down til you quit. Owasso Black has a plethora of new talent, but that new talent comes with its own challenges regarding plays and playing time.  I've seen these guys putting in the work to get the season off on the right track, and I'm betting they will be! Owasso Rams- 24-21

BA Chrome @ Jenks Black- BA Chrome had a kid who made every tackle and made a couple defenses look silly! If they can block for him it could be a very surprising story by the end of the year. Jenks Black is an unkown in the INFC, but overall Jenks breeds football players!  I'll roll with my HS and throw it to the -BA Tigers 12-7

Union Black @ TYAA- Ublack looked really good in the scrimmages as far as I saw. Boys run what they run and they do it well.  TYAA has a distinct advantage over the rest of the INFC, and that team coming the best both would just be a cheat code.  Hoping to make it through the dinner bell for this one- TYAA 21- 13

AA
Coweta White @ Berryhill- Coweta White was a big bodied powerhouse waiting to happen! I'm sure those coaches have them one step closer!  Berryhill might be scrappy, but I'll take an L anyway! Coweta White 12-7

Skiatook @ Collinsville- Skiatook had #14 and if hes there they will need him to run wild but that's where they will be missing him.  I believe Cards and Co ran into the buzzsaw named LC last season but that it made them better! My pick to win AA-Cardinals 21-12

Hilldale @ Sapulpa- Hilldale has the coaching and players to stay organized against any distractions... Sapulpa may be large, but they can be beat from time to time and shaffer knows what the plan is! I'd like to see this one pan out live- Hilldale- 21-7

Seqouyah @ Bartlesville White Don't know a ton about either, but Ill take - Sequoyah in a tight one 13-12

Bishop Kelley @ Verdigris- BK Comets are a well coached, disciplined ball club.  My man roller will have put his stamp on this team by now, and I'm excited to see what shakes out! Verdigris- 18-12

Bartlesville Blue @ South Tulsa- Bville Blue... Could be the team with more talent than the other, and I'll go ahead and pick- Bville Blue 20-17

Holland Hall @ Pryor- Holland Hall must be a new squad so not much to say except welcome to the INFC... And thats what those pryor boys will be doing on saturday if the past is any indication of the future- Pryor 27-6

Bunch of guesses in the West, and some BA homer picks in the east.

Stillwater Blue @ Edmond Wolves (Stillwater)
Stillwater Gold @ Yukon White (Yukon)
Choctaw Blue @ Piedmont (Piedmont)
Norman Tigers @ Choctaw Gold (Choctaw)
Westmoore @ Norman TWolves (Norman)
Edmond Bulldogs @ Yukon Red (Edmond)

Jenks Maroon @ Bixby Red (Jenks) This is a monster matchup for week 1. I give the edge to Jenks for their speed. However if anyone can contain it, it’s Bixby Red.

Glenpool @ BA Black (BA Black) Another tough season opener. Glenpool’s offense is tough, for sure one of the best. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Glenpool pulls this off, but I’ve got to go with BA Black. They are big, fast, aggressive, and well coached.

Lincoln Christian @ Bixby Blue (Bixby) Yet another big game. I like Bixby to slow the game down and edge out LC.

BA White @ Catoosa (BA White) Catoosa is solid, and will be a tough out for anyone. This will be closer than last year, but BA White has good size and great athletes and will get the W.

BA Platinum @ Muskogee (BA Platinum) I have to roll with my team.

Claremore @ Sand Springs (Claremore) If Claremore lost their guy this could go the other way.

Wagoner @ Owasso White (Owasso) O-White is a well coached disciplined, physical team.

BA Silver @ Jenks White (BA Silver) Jenks is good. Real good. Won’t be easy, but If Silver can control the clock, and finish their drives, they can win.

Coweta Black @ McAlester (McAlester, weather permitting) if the rain holds off I like McAlester.

Union Silver @ Owasso Black (Union) This is a sneaky good game. O-Black is a a good team, but word on the street is Silver is loaded.

BA Chrome @ Jenks Black (BA Chrome) don’t know much about Jenks. Chrome has good coaching and athletes.

Union Black @ TYAA (TYAA) I feel like the bulldogs are on a mission this season.

AA
Coweta White @ Berryhill (Coweta White)
Skiatook @ Collinsville (Collinsville)
Hilldale @ Sapulpa (Hilldale)
Seqouyah @ Bartlesville White (Sequoyah)
Bishop Kelley @ Verdigris (Bishop Kelley)
Bartlesville Blue @ South Tulsa (South Tulsa)
Holland Hall @ Pryor (Pryor)
