@Justafan20

First he did sack someone as he celebrated after. As far as coaches I was the one throwing a fit. The ref was completely wrong and would not listen but I guess you would have stayed calm and bought him an ice cream if it was you.  I didn’t bash your team and was mad that I didn’t mention how good you guys played when I originally posted.  As far as parents we would both be fiooling ourselves if we thought that didn’t happen. Maybe you would open both stands up so visitors don’t sit with home team, easy solitoom. Don’t bash on me or my team unless you know the full story from my side as a coach. Easy to critique when you are blowing a team out. This is why I don’t post on the forum.

I'm intrigued Owasso? So because he celebrated it makes it a sack. Wish there was a video clip to prove once and for all, Sack or no Sack?

@black

You got on here crying and making excuses for your kids and that you only have 15 kid, that are getting shorted by the coaching! Your son tackled a kid that never runs out of the backfield. My backup Qb on my second string offense that was on the field was running shotgun properly not 8 yards back (coaching tip) handed the ball off and your son tackled the rb in the backfield for a loss so that's not a sack.(its loss of yards). Very next play we ran something we haven't all year just trying to do different things and scored. (coaching tip no players guarding the back field). Also you had a 2 stripper uncovered ( illegal to do) and you got mad at the refs. You were mad that my defense was killing your backfield (qb 8 yards behind center slow kadis and rb's to close to qb, coaching tip).

Ive broke the film down in so many ways and never seen anything that remotely see holding or anything illegal. You did score kudos (refs exact words I give the guy a questionable td and he freaks on me?) I took out my good starters out in the 3rd and played them here and there till the end.

I cant help the board doesn't open the other side. I haven't had anyone all year long complain after being beat. When metro beat us we didn't say anything negative leaving and wouldn't, we got out coached and played. They had me mad but I couldnt show my kids that and ruin theyre day. (coaching tip kids feed off the coaches).

And as far as ice cream na I asked him and he said no. Heck I would've bought you a new sucker though.

Like I said you have good athletes that just need to be in the right spots and be coached to use their talents.

PS I never said anything negative about your team. You lived up to the talk. Also the 2 stripe rule only appliea to a an unbalanced line.  Have ran that same offense for 6 games and two scrimmages and no call. Good luck!

Just FYI Oblack, in infc a two striper has to be covered, it doesn’t matter if your balanced or unbalanced up front. Doesn’t matter if he’s on weak side or strong side either.

Have to agree with Metro here- drunk texting should be banned lol

@metro1. I do have a valid question for you- your team has been a solid team for the last 2 years, why did you all decide to go into AA after making the playoffs last couple of years?  I know you mentioned the 5th grade enrollment at Metro, but come on, when you have 15. Guys that can mix it up with the best team out there. You have a great team, I thought you would want to scrap it up with some other team this year??

Best of luck this week to all the Ya Hoos on here- and thanks for all the hysterical reading this week!

What happened was when it was time to declare we only had 13 kids signed up and 2 of my bigger linemen weren’t going to play and we weren’t sure we would have enough to make a team. At the time we were going to have 2 linemen over 100 LBs and the rest were going to be in 80 lb range. We made the decision to declare for AA thinking these teams weren’t going to be as big. (Which we were way wrong about that) at about 3 weeks before the season one of those linemen decided to play and we got 3 kids that came over from Holland Hall and one of those kids turned out to be a good sized kid (105lbs). This is how we ended up here. 2 things, these AA teams are as big or bigger than a lot of the A teams, so at the end of the day it wouldn’t have mattered if we were in A or AA because we are giving up a ton of size on the lines no matter. The other thing is after our first scrimmage and we realized what our team was, we went to the INFC to get switch back to A. They tried to rework some schedules to make it happen but they were too far into to process to change our schedule. If you changed our schedule then that would have changed a bunch of other schedules. That’s the whole story behind us in AA.

Yeah I started trying to figure out where my son could have played if we didn’t have enough to make a team but it did work out. I want to know where everybody is getting these huge kids from. It’s crazy to see the size of all of these teams.
