Here's where it started...one of your new coaches came on the board and ranked Bixby Red as the #8 team with Glenpool ranked ahead of them...I can see why since we were missing 1-2 of our starters in that first scrimmage at 8 am and y'all played well...that being said, it was pretty disrespectful after our track record the last 2 years and I took exception to that...I'm sure you might have felt the same way...also, we have 21-22 kids this year so I understand your comment on rotating all of the kids into the mix...I feel confident most coaches would feel like their team should be in the Top 10 if they could hand select 15-16 players...unfortunately, that is not the reality for us or you...
As far as response, my son was not on Bixby Red in the 2nd grade...he was on Bixby Blue...trust me, no one was more upset about the draw than our team...TYAA Red wasn't happy either that we had to face each other in a play-in game to even advance to the main bracket...we were ahead with 5 seconds to go but TYAA ran it 35-40 yards on the last play to beat us...so hard to watch everyone advance while our season was over...regarding Coweta Black, I have no idea why they were moved but I suspect it had to do with them not being in the playoffs last year...however, I am not happy about it...we need to be tested before the playoffs so that we can continue to do well...certainly one of the reasons we scrimmaged Jenks Silver and Jenks Maroon last night...
We still have love for Glenpool and enjoyed our scrimmage with you last year over at your place. To be honest, I think Division 4 is stacked...whoever comes out of there as #3 could easily upset a #1 seed...Division 1 is a little tougher but Divisions 2, 3, and 5 are all about the same in my opinion...Bixby Blue has BA Black, Jenks Silver has Claremore, and Bixby Red has McAlester Black...
At this point, I will probably take a break from the forum for a while...just didn't want you to think that I was avoiding you and hopefully it gives you more perspective into my thinking...also, best of luck to Glenpool this season...there is no doubt you will have a very good year...
