Championship rumors
« on: November 13, 2020, 10:19:35 am »
The 6th grade forum is good reading for those interested in the drama associated with youth sports.  Sounds like 5th LC did not fill out some paperwork and now are having to sit a few kids for the game vs Yukon.

Sounds like we should play BA Black for a shot at the title vs Yukon as we both got crushed by a team using players not registered.

BA Black you ready to play?

I know this will not happen, just stirring the pot but ...... Edmond is ready to play if BA Black is  ;D

If the 6th grade LC team has to forfeit for breaking rules but 5th grade LC team still gets to play after breaking rules there is something worth having a conversation about

If #11 has to sit then I feel Edmond and BA Black have something to present to INFC for consideration as both should be in the conversation as replacements for Yukon to play

11 has been there since 3rd so I’m sure he’s good. The new scholarship kid's this season may be the problem.

Lc 6th grade isnt out because of some paperwork. They are out because a few players didnt get the required # of plays.

Facts over rumors.

Regardless if a few boys have to sit out i wonder who and how many.

You are only stating ONE fact. The protest was put out bc of the # of plays. There are MANY more issues. League Officials have confirmed this. But keep on sweeping... That rug is gonna start showing it's dirt soon.

Let me be clear. I do no disagree with leagues standings on these matters. Rules definitely need to be followed, however
Doesnt the infc have each players profile on file? Dont they review the age and grade of each player before the season starts? I dont know the actual facts of the reasoning, im just posting what i saw on the 6th grade forum. If i knew more i would share that info.......

If the sole reason was due to some faulty paperwork, but the kids age and grade line up with the infc rules and the team is DQ or players have to sit out due to some faulty paperwork but their age and grade lines up with Infc rules i think that the only losers are those kids. Regardless of school and whose fault it may be. I wouldn't want tht for any kid for any school that is horrivle.

Hopefully some more info from the league can be shared with everyone to clear the air and give everyone a concrete answer to what the **** is going on.

I just saw on the forum that 3 players from 2028 were not signed up on a sports database.
If its the 3 big new linemen i would call something fishy.
If its 3 returning players and it was forgotten about then a fine/penalty would be adequate in my eyes.
I guess time will tell. Grab some popcorn and a cold one this is gonna get interesting.

Remind me...  who is laying out facts, and who is laying out rumors? You see now that it is MORE than just a few players didn't get their required plays? No coach in this league is protesting because a few players didn't get plays.

It's in the rulebook that ALL players must be registered via Sportabase prior to stepping on the field. LC has multiple players, in multiple grades not registered in Sportabase. This isn't a "Oh mom and dad forgot/didn't realize" situation. I'm wondering how many of these players were added after game 1... How many of these players attend LC?

LC's team is talented and whipped our rear-ends.  I am not one to try to backdoor my way into a championship game but rules are rules so my two cents are:

If a team played with three ineligible players, to me, that is an issue which needs to be addressed.  Like someone said earlier, if those three kids are of age and grade then not much of an issue for me.

If the three players sit out of the Yukon game and LC still wins by a ton ... probably a non-issue other than the simple fact of some rules not being followed (fine, slap on the wrist)

If the three players sit out the Yukon game and Yukon wins then BA Black and Edmond probably have some well-earned heartburn about that as those three teams are fairly similar

You know so much Coach12  I’m curious, where do you get this information?  Do you know which kids are in question?  Are they important pieces to LCS 5th grade team, how long have they been there?  How many kids per team?  You seem to know a lot. Fill us in.

I will not disclose my source. I have been asked not to, and I respect the request of my source. But, I will tell you that coaches in 6th grade have spoken directly to league officials. Coaches that I trust to pass along correct and truthful information.

I seem to want to know the same information as you Mallcop. Except for if they were "important pieces" to ANY LC team. That, to me, is not as important as why there are multiple grades, with multiple players not registered at LC.

I had a wise man once tell me "Remember the golden rule Ty" as to him I responded "do unto others as you would have done to you"..and he responded that is the Biblical golden rule but the Worldly Golden rule is "those with the Gold makes the rules!!" As I become older I see that he was more wise than even I understood at that time. I feel bad for Coach Wolf from what I know of him he is a good dude.
