Has to stop somewhere.. Why does there have to be a limit? Why does someone who will play rb qb or lb in high school have to play line? Just because there's some kids that can't handle it. Maybe those kids should practice the flute. Seems just as dangerous if not more getting tackled by a 130lb player than tackling one.

No doubt there are athletes that aren't even playing football yet but, there is no comparison in between other leagues. Weight limit, boundaries, whatever you want to throw out against it. The fact is the majority of those kids will likely be in the same boat when they get into High School. Will there be some exceptions? Of course but, for the most part they will be in the same boat.

The weight limits become less of an issue when you get to the upper grades so it's really a non issue. That's why there is a 20lb jump from 4th to 5th moving forward and max weights are lifted at 6th grade.

West side- that is so ignorant---- as a rule in elementary your lineman shd be bigger than your skill kids-- honestly just like they are at any other level--- yes some kids are just big at a young age and they will run the ball later on--- so they will have there time so it doesn't matter--- not to mention also as a rule in the infc the majority of the best athletes are carrying the ball---- the weight limits don't effect that more times than not

I was talking specifically about the INFC. This league has a weight limit. If there’s a weight limit, it has to stop/start somewhere....

Go play the flute??? So stupid, we have parents these days that are looking for a way to tell there kids they can't play--- well tackling kids twice there size wd definitely wd give them that reason.   And we wd continue to loose number as a sport

I agree, best league by far. Can't say you have the best team if you tell the other teams to come play you, but they can't play their best players. If there was a better league my son would be playing in it.

Best athletes in the other leagues are carrying the ball also. They don't have linemen carrying the ball.  I think infc has the best coaches and I think most would agree, that would be the easiest team to defend. The coaches are worried about #5. Speed is what keeps ya'll up at night.

We're definitely going to disagree on this one. I'm all for safety. Well, there is a difference a 130 lbs kid has to be on the line in a 3 point stance. and has to be covered up on the line on offense. So were trying to limit him from killing your 75lb back. Also that something we can't control, on who coach wants to give the ball 2, but we can make rules to improve safety and I think the infc does a great job on that. I do know they're looking at adding more rules in the future to help with safety. I think we can all agree at the 5th-grade level some kids have hit puberty and are way ahead of the others. I like the weight limits for this reason and many others. We protecting kids to play in all levels not get killed in a little league game and never play again. Mommas don't even want there boys playing now. If you went up to a casual parent they would all agree on weight limits.
