WEEK 7 PICK EM'S & GOTW/NOTABLE GAMES
« on: October 08, 2018, 11:19:12 am »
Week 7! Doing these pick'ems takes a lot of time. This is just my opinion of the teams. I have watched 80% of the games played this year from most teams. So with that being said I could be completely wrong about your team or any team. I just feel like it is helpful to some coaches and people enjoy reading the pick'em comments. Obviously I left off the make up games and just made the record reflect that

Division 1

Mcalester (3-3) vs Broken Arrow Platinum (3-2) (Broken Arrow Platinum) Two teams that go about completely different ways. Mcalester runs spread 4 to 5 wide and Broken Arrow runs I-Form right at you. Broken Arrow is not a flashy team but they have a really solid D with good play makers. They are also well coached and will have plenty of film on Mcalester to make sure they are ready. I like Broken Arrow to give the ball #0 early and often and drive the ball downfield. I could see Mcalester pulling of the upset if Broken Arrow is not ready for the pass and lost out there Like Mike Stoops Defense. This will be a low scoring game with Ba Plat winning 13-6.

Bixby Red (3-1) vs Skiatook (1-5) (Bixby Red) Poor Bixby! They have a bye week then there game gets cancelled due to lighting. And has to be Reschedule. Not the last two weeks any club would want at this age. Bixby Gets #25 back soon and when he is back this team goes back to the top of the list for me on teams that can win it this year. Bixby will get out early in this one even if they play during the week. I like Bixby to roll 35-0

Glenpool (6-0) vs Owasso White (6-0)***GOTW*** (Glenpool) Obviously going with the G-Men. Owasso White is a super disciplined team. They love to win close games. That is a big factor for this team is that they always pull out the close games. They have a solid D that was able to keep Coweta on Lock except for 2 plays where #1 from Coweta was on another level. Man that kids Stiff-arms are insane. I do find it funny that the Owasso press box was talking about my pick-ems saying they were suppose to lose 20-0 and that #1 is the second best back in the league. I was completely wrong on the score! But hey a lot of people read the pick-ems. We will be working all week on being Disciplined and cleaning up mental errors. Were gearing up for a good game and our boys will be ready to play. Hats of to ALLIN and his team for being 6-0 at this point of the year.

Bartlesville (0-6) vs Union Red (2-3) (Union Red) Union Red has some great athletes on the field that have good speed and can make plays happen. I Like Union to win big and get to 3-3

Coweta Black (2-4) vs Claremore (2-4) (Coweta Black) Coweta has a had a disappointing season so far but they turn it around this week and get back in the Win column. Coweta needs to give the ball to #1 or #21 on 90% of the plays they boys are game changers. I've watched #1 own multiple kids with a stiff arm this year. Like I said last week Coweta is its on worst enemy. They jumped offside to lose in OT and several times in the game. Claremore has a solid Offense after watching the shoot-out with Union Red. #23 for Claremore will get in the end-zone this game but I like Coweta to win 21-6

Division 2

Broken Arrow Silver (0-6) vs Wagoner (2-4) (Wagoner) I got Wagoner 28-0

Jenks White (6-0) vs Hilldale (1-5) (Jenks White) The Trojans rolling to that last week match up! I like Jenks went to school there in elementary and played little league ball there. Fun Times! Jenks just has to many weapons and they got there machine #22 at full force and man is that kid fun to watch. Hilldale might be missing some key players from last year but those kids still play hard. I like Jenks to roll 27-0

Owasso Red (2-4) vs Union Black (2-4) (Union Black) This is a complete guess I did watch the Owasso white vs Union Black game. I have not watched any O-red games. So going with my gut and taking U-Black 18-6

Tyaa Blue (5-1) vs Broken Arrow Black (6-0) (Broken Arrow Black) Broken Arrow is the real deal. I think they have given up like 4 first downs all year. Tyaa blue has great speed in the backfield and a defense that fly's to the ball. Im going with Ba Black to score early and often, They wont beat you with speed they will just dominate the line of scrimmage and force there way down the field. Ba has great counter plays and great pulling lineman. There D is unreal lead by #54 that kid is a man child. He just never gets blocked and is in the backfield alot. For TYAA Blue to have a chance of winning this game they need to iron out the D and make sure those boys stay at home. For there Offense I would just take what they give you. Stay away from #54! I Like Ba Black to win 26-0

Union Silver (4-2) vs Bye Week (Union Silver) #13 Makes weight and they roll

Division 3

Owasso Black (2-3) vs Catoosa (4-2) (Catoosa) #6 Runs loose for Catoosa and they roll 28-0

Bishop Kelly (2-4) vs Muskogee (0-5) (Bishop Kelly) The Comets get a break from the tough schedule and get a win. They have a great little offense and #12 is a great ball player. Muskogee is lacking the kids and other things for them to be successful at this time. Ill take Bishop Kelly 28-0

Sand Spring Black (1-5) vs Pryor (2-4) (Sand Spring Black) Im going with the upset. To me it looks like SS Black got all the athletes and SS Gold got all the line man. That doesn't make a good combo when you need lineman to block or kids to run the ball. But I think in this game the athletes will do the work and pull out the W 13-6. I like what Pryor is doing I just got a gut feeling SS is going to pull out the win.

Union Silver (4-2) vs Bye Week (Union Silver) #13 Makes weight and they roll

Tyaa Red (5-0) vs Ba White (5-0)***GOTW*** (Ba White) Im going with the upset and many peoples eyes. Ba White might not look like the best on film but that team is loaded with talent. I like Cowboy and my man #17 to lead that backfield to a win this week. What #17 does better then any other kids is block downfield and make plays happen for cowboy. Also #17 can make people miss so if you think he is going to lead block every play you would be incorrect. There D is the most aggressive in the league they bring the house every play and let cowboy sit back and make any tackle that gets past the first 8 players on D. With that being said its going to be hard for Tyaa to get a play off. I like what Tyaa red is doing on Defense. That is the strongest part of that team. I think this will be a low scoring game with Ba White 13-0.

Division 4

Sapulpa (1-5) vs Bixby Blue (4-2) (Bixby Blue) Bixby is in the easy part of the schedule. They just need keep tuning up that o and be ready for that last game of the year. 35-0 Bixby

Choctaw Blue (4-2) vs Jenks Maroon (6-0) (Jenks Maroon) Jenks has the best back in the league. That kid has incredible speed, we scrimmaged them they left our wr uncovered so we called a audible and did a quick pass to the wr. out of nowhere here comes #5 to intercept the ball and take it the other way. Kid is special reminds me of presley from 5th grade. Choctaw got shocked last week losing to Stillwater really hurting there playoff hopes. I like Jenks to give the ball to #5 on the toss and him to work his magic. Choctaw has Nice D but last week it seemed like they didn't play up to potential. Jenks is solid everywhere I see them going undefeated in the regular season.

Edmond (4-2) vs Choctaw Gold (2-4) (Edmond) Edmond gets back on a roll after a tough loss last week. Im taking Edmond to roll 26-0

Sand Springs Gold (0-6) vs Norman Tigers (0-6) (Sand Springs Gold) 2 teams that have yet to find the end zone. Im going to take Sand Springs to win in OT by yardage.

Norman T-Wolves (5-1) vs Stillwater (4-2) (Norman T-Wolves) Dont Sleep on Stillwater this team has real talent and might have a chance to win this game with that defense. With that being said im going with the better offense and like the T-Wolves backfield to carry the load and win 21-0

AA

Sequoyah (2-4) vs Coweta White (2-4) (Coweta White)
Collinsville (5-1) vs South Tulsa (2-4) (Collinsville)
Verdigris (4-2) vs Lincoln Christian (6-0) (Lincoln Christian)
Checotah (1-5) vs Broken Arrow Chrome (4-2) (Broken Arrow Chrome)
Hulbert (0-6) vs Berryhill (4-2) (Berryhill)

Division 1
McAlester vs BA Platinum (BA Platinum) Ooooh I really wanna pick McAlester in this one but after last weeks match up vs Jenks White I think the wind has been taken out of their sails a little bit.
Bixby Red vs Skiatook (Bixby Red) BXBR has got to be like a rabid dog that hasn't been fed in weeks.  I feel bad for Skiatook. 35-0
Glenpool vs Owasso White (Glenpool) Owasso White is just that, too vanilla, and GP's defense will be feasting ADL! I don't look for this to be close.  Glenpool is bringing it this week!
Bartlesville vs Union Red (Union Red)
Coweta Black vs Claremore (Claremore)

Division 2
BA Silver vs Wagoner (Wagoner)
Jenks White vs Hilldale (Jenks White) Don't sleep on Hilldale.  You have a big game coming up in 2 weeks as BA Black looms in the distance wanting to put a stop to your Cinderella season.  Go handle your business Jenks White and continue working fundamentals as you'll need them vs BA Black and maybe start looking for some leprechauns (it can't hurt).
Owasso Red vs Union Black (Owasso Red)
TYAA Blue vs BA Black (BA Black) BA Black doesn't do anything fancy to win (Other than not letting opponents into the endzone) Its just solid fundamental football.  They all know their roles and just do work week in and week out.  I'm pretty sure they are gonna run over TYAA Blue just like any other team they've faced so far this year.

Division 3
Owasso Black vs Catoosa (Catoosa)
Bishop Kelly vs Muskogee (Bishop Kelly)
Sand Spring Black vs Pryor (SSBlk)
TYAA Red vs BA White (TYAA Red) *GOTW*TYAA put BA White on notice last week putting up 50+ pts on Muskogee.  I think a few of us had questioned TYAA's ability to score this year based on their first few games.  Well now we all know it's not a performance issue. Although I think BA Whites non-traditonal sets will cause problems occasionally good traditional football plays will win out.  14-0 TYAA

Division 4
Sapulpa vs Bixby Blue (Bixby Blue)
Choctaw Blue vs Jenks Maroon (Jenks Maroon)
Edmond vs Choctaw Gold (Edmond)
Sand Springs Gold vs Norman Tigers (Norman Tigers)
Norman T-Wolves vs Stillwater (Stillwater) This may be a stretch but with last weeks win by both teams I think this could be an upset special as the TWolves could be looking ahead to next weeks trip to Jenks.  Stillwater has only gotten better as the year has gone on and they could bring just enough to win.

AA
Sequoyah vs Coweta White (Coweta White)
Collinsville vs South Tulsa (Collinsville)
Verdigris vs Lincoln Christian (Lincoln Christian)
Checotah vs BA Chrome (BA Chrome)
Hulbert vs Berryhill (Berryhill)

Division 1
McAlester vs BA Platinum (BA Platinum) Mac has a solid team, but they just wont be able to stop BA Plat, and Plat will be able to stop them. Just basic football here.
Bixby Red vs Skiatook (Bixby Red) Did Bixby Red get the cover of Madden or something? Seems like this season has been a little cursed for them after winning the Ship. Doesn't mean I'm going to pick against them. Red gets an extra day of football this week with the make up game and rolls harrrrrd in this one.
Glenpool vs Owasso White (Glenpool) Glenpool is one extremely tough team. Pretty sure those boys eat footballs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I'm giving them a spot in the semifinals in my early championship bracket.
Bartlesville vs Union Red (Union Red)
Coweta Black vs Claremore (Claremore) Looks like Claremore took my advice and gave #23 the ball 80% of the time... That dude is a crazy good player. Not only does he have moves and is a strooong runner, that kid can throw that ball!! I think they feed him the rock here again and let him do his thing... I think Coweta has too many mistakes here to pick up the W, but think they will make it a game... 20-13 Claremore

Division 2
BA Silver vs Wagoner (Wagoner)
Jenks White vs Hilldale (Jenks White)
Owasso Red vs Union Black (Union Black) Union has the better offense. Owasso's D wont be able to stop them.
TYAA Blue vs BA Black (BA Black)  I think this game shows us just how good BA Black really is. This definitely looks like it could be their year. I'm going BA Black 26-7

Division 3
Owasso Black vs Catoosa (Catoosa)
Bishop Kelly vs Muskogee (Bishop Kelly)
Sand Spring Black vs Pryor (Pryor) I think they avenge their loss last week. This team is one of my favorites to be most improved this year.  Just don't think SS has the defense to stop Pryor from scoring.
TYAA Red vs BA White (BA White) ***GOTW*** I think Red finally put it all together last week, but I don't know if they have been consistent enough to dominate BA White in any way. I think Cowboy steps his game up and makes this game EXTREMELY close. I'm sure the BA White coaches have done their homework and will have a nice game plan for this one. I think BA White will be a huuuuge headache for Red this week, and I'm gonna take 8 Aspirin and roll with my dude Cowboy this week. 19-14 White... Hoping I can repair some damage done between the coaches with this pick lol

Division 4
Sapulpa vs Bixby Blue (Bixby Blue) Duh
Choctaw Blue vs Jenks Maroon (Jenks Maroon) Just too many weapons here.
Edmond vs Choctaw Gold (Edmond)
Sand Springs Gold vs Norman Tigers (SS Gold) Gotta give the ball to #20(?) or it doesn't work.
Norman T-Wolves vs Stillwater (Stillwater) I'm gonna roll with my buddy Mav here. Hoping that Stillwater throws another wrench in this Div 4 playoff picture. It's going to be an extremely tough game, but I think Stillwater is riding high on the win from last week and look to upset the T-Wolves. Stillwater's defense is what's going to get them the win... EVERYONE underestimates how good these guys really are.  Stilly 12-7

AA
Sequoyah vs Coweta White (Coweta White)
Collinsville vs South Tulsa (Collinsville)
Verdigris vs Lincoln Christian (Lincoln Christian)
Checotah vs BA Chrome (BA Chrome)
Hulbert vs Berryhill (Berryhill)

Division 1
McAlester vs BA Platinum (BA Platinum) Non division- Good match up here between two tough teams.  I look for double 00 to pound the rock against Macs D, and I think BA has their boys ready for the spread.  Close game 14-12

Bixby Red vs Skiatook (Bixby Red) Big Red gets one of their horses back this week(maybe by the time the make ups roll around) and they run it up early.  Number 14 for skiatook will pop one though and get the took on the board. I see it 35-6

Glenpool vs Owasso Vanilla (Vanilla) GOTW Div 1- We just hope to show up with the right color jerseys and our shoes on the right feet(tied optional).  If we can run LEFT RIGHT and MIDDLE on 1 then I'm calling it a win.  Coachemup has a talented squad that has proven themselves.  We will have our boys ready for a challenge and hope for an injury free game.

Bartlesville vs Union Red (Union Red) This Union Red team is a team with their arrow pointing straight up ^. I'm anxious to see some of their games down the stretch cause I think they could show up and upset a few on their schedule.  Def a force in the PST this season. Bartlesville has talent, just too many kids to really be able to compete.  U REd 35-0

Coweta Black vs Claremore (Coweta Black) There will be two of the best backs in this grade on the field in this one.  And they both play stingy D as well.  Coweta bounces back hard here and rolls to a 27-6 win.

Division 2
BA Silver vs Wagoner (Wagoner) Wagoner is a tough team who are probably a game or two better than their schedule.  Silver hasn't lived up to the other 3 BA teams this season but they will give it a fight.  Wagoner 18-6

Jenks White vs Hilldale (Jenks White) Jenks White has rolled through the schedule winning against all opponents.  #22 and #44 are beasts as I've said repeatedly.  Shaffer needs to tattoo #22 to the back of his defenders hands. I know they will fight but Hilldale loses this one 27-0

Owasso Red vs Union Black (Owasso Red) I picked against em last week and I picked with them the week before against MAC.  If Id just quit waffling then maybe I wouldn't be so bad at pick ems.  Going with Red here.  They pick up some momentum with the Hilldale win.  Watch out for #19 on U black.  There whole squad is tough... Ored 13-12

TYAA Blue vs BA Black (BA Black) GOTW Div 2- Big match up here between two tough teams.  BA just imposes their will and thats a testament to the coaches and players.  Every kid on the field for the BLUEdawgs will have to come for a street fight and pack a lunch.  Pound for pound the bluedawgs probably have a slight edge in athleticism, but scheme and execution goes to the BLACK CLOUD! 24-6 BA

Division 3
Owasso Black vs Catoosa (Owasso Black) This matchup could have been a GOTW if not for another game I'll get to promptly. Oblack still has their makeup game against BA white on Wednesday, so that could hurt their prep for catoosa's offense.  But I'm still sticking to my pick for an Oblack upset against BA, and they will ride high into Saturday against Catoosa.  No disrespect cause I think with Catoosa's O it will be a barn burner.  O black by a hair, 21-20

Bishop Kelly vs Muskogee (Bishop Kelly) BK gets a win by a large margin here. 35-0

Sand Spring Black vs Pryor (Pryor) Pryor gets things right with a healthy win over the sandites.  21-6

TYAA Red vs BA White (BA White) GOTW Div 3- This ones huge for seeding purposes, and that can mean everything come playoff time.  I've watched film on both and its a tough one to dissect. The short week of prep for BA hurts their D, but getting to run two live games within 4 days could also keep your offense clicking.  I'm picking Oblack to upset the white tigers, but I'm picking them to win this one in a slugfest. I just haven't seen enough out of the REDdawgs O to make me believe that it can keep up. BA White wins 19-12

Division 4
Sapulpa vs Bixby Blue (Bixby Blue) Big Blue on the tune up trail here, 35-0

Choctaw Blue vs Jenks Maroon (Jenks Maroon) My almost GOTW for this Div. The trends say Choctaw is slipping but they will fight for their playoff lives in this one.  I don't know if they can stop that backfield, but if some things bounce in their favor it could be close.  I'll take the trojans to pull it off 20-7

Edmond vs Choctaw Gold (Edmond) Edmond gets back on track here 28-0

Sand Springs Gold vs Norman Tigers (Sand Springs Gold) I'm giving the edge to SS in this one.  14-13

Norman T-Wolves vs Stillwater (Norman T-Wolves) GOTW Div 4- Stillwater runs an unorthodox D that can cause a ton of confusion.  The problem I see is that once Norman's speed gets to the open field, I don't know how stilly can stop them.  I'm not pulling a granddad this week.  Sticking with Alexander and his Twolves to solidify themselves a shot at the D4 title next week against the Trojans. Twolves 21-6

AA
Sequoyah vs Coweta White (Coweta White) Coweta White 27-0

Collinsville vs South Tulsa (Collinsville) Collinsville gets back on track 35-0

Verdigris vs Lincoln Christian (Lincoln Christian) GOTW AA Div- I'm not crazy for picking the cardinals last week, they kept it close relative to every other score against LC. But I can't roll with the cardinals this week, I need to keep up appearances in the pick ems.  Roller prove me wrong- LC 27-6

Checotah vs BA Chrome (BA Chrome) BA Chrome looks to continue their momentum 21-0

Hulbert vs Berryhill (Berryhill) Berryhill has a good squad and could fight for the second spot in AA. They win 27-0

« Reply #6 on: October 09, 2018, 01:55:23 pm »
Another exciting slate of games this week!

D1
Owasso White 6-0 @ Glenpool 6-0 - My second overall game of the week. First place in D1 on the line and the ultimate battle of qb sneaks will be on display in this one! Did anyone predict O-White to be sitting at 6-0 and playoff bound? These Rams are flying high as they get their toughest test yet as they make the trip to undefeated Glenpool. Their defense has played great, and will need their best performance yet, as the Warriors offense is lethal and are in the top 5 in points scored. I expect both defenses to show up in a hard hitting fairly low scoring game. I really like and respect what both teams have accomplished up to this point. I will secretly be pulling for O-White to get this one, but I gotta go GLENPOOL 20-12.

Skiatook 1-5 @ Bixby Red 3-1 - Man I dk the exact number of kick sixes #14 has had for Skiatook but its atleast 3. His latest against Glenpool made it a 12-6 game before the G-men poured it on. He'll have atleast 6-7 opportunites to do so in this game as I see Big Red scoring at will. But I do think he gets another one! BIXBY RED

Union Red 2-3 @ Bartlesville 0-6 - Bartlesville keep workin!! U-Red has already doubled its win total from a season ago and should be able to triple it after Saturday. UNION RED

Claremore 2-4 @ Coweta Black 2-4 - This will have a good rb matchup with #1 and #23 going at it. Coweta went from a #1 seed a year ago, to PST bound. No doubt they have some talent though.. The Zebras last 1/3 of the season pits them against Coweta, Glenpool, and Bixby Red. I didn't peg them to be 2-7 this year.. Very well could happen. COWETA BLACK by 2-3 scores.

BA Platinum 3-3 @ McAlester 3-3 - Good non division game. You got the 4th place team in D2 vs the 5 in D1. Mac's 3 losses are to the 3 teams that'll be representing D2 in the playoffs. Plat is in a similar situation.. BA will rely on their defense to slow down the Buffaloes spread attack. Had they been able to catch a couple of those deep passes (just missed em), they very well coulda been up 14-0 early on Jenks White. I definitely could see Platinum winning, but I'm going with the home team to put up some points this week. McALESTER

D2
BA Black 5-0 @ Tyaa Blue 5-1 - This is my honorable mention for game of the week. The 'Mission' is still on for Tyaa as they plan on throwing a wrench in BA's quest for the gold ball. A loss here assures the bluedawgs of the #3 seed, and a potential first rd matchup with the reddawgs? Yes please. BA Black looks forward to the challenge and shows us all why they will be playing for it all in about a month. BA BLACK

Wagoner 2-4 @ BA Silver 0-6 - Silver is one of 4 teams to be held scoreless through 6 games. Wagoners defense doesnt want to be the first ones to allow that to happen. They had a rough time with Catoosa, but shouldn't have any trouble with BA. WAGONER

Hilldale 1-5 @ Jenks White 6-0 - I have empathy for what the Hornets are going through. However, the scoreboard may not reflect it, I know every week they're getting better. They won't lie down for Jenks, but it will be tough. The 6-0 Trojans are on a collision course with BA Black week 9, but its 1 game at a time.. JENKS WHITE

Union Black 2-4 @ Owasso Red 2-4 - Toss up game. Will Union be able to get to the edge and use their speed, or can Owasso wreak havoc and pound em up the gut. I'm hoping U-Black has gotten into basketball mode so I'm taking OWASSO RED in a close one.

D3
BA White 5-0 @ Tyaa Red 5-0 - My overall game of the week includes two unbeatens who have only allowed 3 scores in 10 combined games. The winner will be sitting comfortable as the #1 seed, and likely will finish the regular season undefeated.. No easy task in this grade.. These two met rd 2 of the playoffs with Tyaa knocking BA out 13-0.. It seems that power has shifted a little. I think BA is the favorite this year, albeit not by much.. I'll take the 'underdog' at home! TYAA RED

Muskogee 0-5 @ Bishop Kelley 2-4 - Muskogee has lost 14 in a row dating back to the beginning of the 11 man era. BK on the other hand, has been a formidable opponent for most. Easy pick. BK makes it 15 straight for the Gee. BISHOP KELLEY

Catoosa 4-2 @ Owasso Black 2-3 - After a week 1 win, O-Black has dropped 3 of their last 4 with the 1 win over Muskogee. I expect them to finish the year strong. I think the only shot Catoosa still has is to win out and hope Pryor can beat U-Silver next week. I know where someone will be Wednesday evening! They do their part this week as they win comfortably. CATOOSA

Pryor 2-4 @ Sand Springs Black 1-5 - These two are division mates for the second year in a row. SS clubs sit at 1-11 after having atleast 1 very competitive team the first 3 years. SS got the best of Pryor a year ago. 13-0, but I think Pryor flips the script this year with their gritty defense and shuts out SS. PRYOR

Union Silver- BYE

D4
Jenks Maroon 6-0 @ Choctaw Blue 4-2 - This game has lost a little fizz with Choctaw dropping their last two, but nonetheless still an important game for both. For Choctaw, they have no margin for error, as another loss eliminates them. Finishing with the Twolves and Edmond, Jenks knows that an L here would be no bueno. Choctaws defense is stout, but it's not built to defend the speed of the Trojans. JENKS MAROON by 3-4 td's.

Stillwater 4-2 @ Norman Twolves 5-1 - Twolves comes off a gut check 1 point win over Edmond.. Down 12-7, offense made just enough plays to go up 13-12 then both defenses locked down and didn't budge. PAT's are huge!! They have no more time to celebrate as we prepare for another mini bedlam. Don't count Stillwater out just yet at 4-2. They did what Norman couldn't do, and that's score on Choctaw Blue.. It was 13-0 before Choctaw finally scored with 3 min left in the game. But the same could be said about the Edmond game comparisons. Setting the stage for next week, NORMAN TWOLVES by 12..

Choctaw Gold 2-4 @ Edmond 4-2 - Choctaw has dropped 2 straight after a 2-2 start. Their last two games will be winnable games. Unfortunately this week, they get a ticked off Edmond team. They aren't accustomed to losing much. PAT's are the devil! Their backs are against the wall and need to reel off 3 straight W's to be in contention for a playoff spot. They start off on the right foot and get the job done this week. EDMOND

Norman 0-6 @ Sand Springs Gold 0-6 - One of these two will earn their first victory of the year this weekend. Hopefully they'll both be able to get the ball in the endzone. Will be hard earned after playing in this division. I'll take SAND SPRINGS GOLD

Bixby Blue 4-2 @ Sapulpa 1-5 - All Bixby needs to do is continue to win. Choctaw Blue is their most difficult game remaining. Sapulpa will play til the final whistle, but this one will be another 35-0 game for BIXBY BLUE.

AA
Lincoln Christian 6-0 @ Verdigris 4-2 - All 6 games they have been involved in have ended with a team being shutout. Fortunately for them, they have been on the right side of 4 of those games. The trend will continue this week, just not in their favor as LINCOLN CHRISTIAN rolls to 7-0.

South Tulsa 2-4 @ Collinsville 5-1 - South Tulsa comes off a big win over Hulbert and have hopes on making it two in a row against the Cardinals. They have some major size on the d-line and #39 runs hard from the rb position. Wont be taken lightly that's for sure. COLLINSVILLE

BA Chrome 4-2 @ Checotah 1-5 - Checotah is on a 4 game skid after beating Hulbert. Not gonna get any easier these next two weeks. Chrome has gone through the meat of their schedule and should coast these next 3 weeks to finish at 7-2 and lock up the 3 seed. BA CHROME

Coweta White 2-3 @ Seqouyah 2-4 - Seqouyah has played much better ball the last couple weeks and are coming off a shutout of Checotah. This will be the first of 3 games for Coweta in 10 day span. Winner of this game should finish 6th in the division. SEQOUYAH

Berryhill 3-2 @ Hulbert 0-6 - Rough inaugural season for the two newcomers. Hulbert did manage to get on the board against S Tulsa on a 97 yard run! But they have been outscored 184-7 through 6 games.. Berryhill should dominate as they finish the regular season strong. Outside the LC game, they've only surrendered 1 score all year. Their d-line will feast as they hold Hulbert to less than 20 yards in this one. BERRYHILL

Good luck to everyone!

Here are my picks for this weekend.

D1:
McAlester vs BA Platinum (BA Platinum) Toss up game. McAlester has been erratic. BA played Bixby Red and Glenpool close the past 2 weeks. Close enough to convince me.
Bixby Red vs Skiatook (Bixby Red) No contest. They’re still the champs.
Glenpool vs Owasso White (Glenpool) Interesting game between 2 unbeatens. Gotta go with Glenpool. Maybe by a couple of TD’s.
Bartlesville vs Union Red (Union Red) 2 teams going in opposite directions. Union Red has the momentum.
Coweta Black vs Claremore (Coweta Black) Coweta has been the better team, but it could be a close game.

D2:
BA Silver vs Wagoner (Wagoner) Neither team has been playing well but at least Wagoner has shown some spark lately.
Jenks White vs Hilldale (Jenks White) Jenks keeps their unbeaten streak rolling another week. Hilldale can’t seem to get their offense untracked.
Owasso Red vs Union Black (Union Black) Don’t like how either team is playing. O Red not showing me much the past 3 weeks.
TYAA Blue vs BA Black (BA Black) Good game but BA Black is playing on another level.

D3:
Owasso Black vs Catoosa (Catoosa) I had to think about this one. Close game but I like Catoosa more.
Bishop Kelly vs Muskogee (Bishop Kelly) BK has been playing well the past few games. Muskogee hasn’t.
Sand Spring Black vs Pryor (Pryor) SS just hasn’t been playing well. Pryor is losing but have been playing teams close.
TYAA Red vs BA White (BA White) GOTW. I think BA has a better offense and both have good defenses.

D4:
Sapulpa vs Bixby Blue (Bixby Blue) Run Rule. Bixby is just too good.
Choctaw Blue vs Jenks Maroon (Jenks Maroon) Choctaw Blue hurting because of their lack of speed, and now they face #5? No contest.
Edmond vs Choctaw Gold (Edmond) Another run rule. Edmond is the best 4th grade team who won’t make the playoffs. Will they stay motivated? They don’t have to be for this game.
Sand Springs Gold vs Norman Tigers (SS Gold) Poor Tigers won’t win this season.
Norman T’Wolves vs Stillwater (Norman T’Wolves) I think Norman will win by 2-3 TD’s. 21-0.

AA:
Sequoyah vs Coweta White (Coweta White) Toss up game.
Collinsville vs South Tulsa (Collinsville) Collinsville is the much better team.
Verdigris vs Lincoln Christian (Lincoln Christian) Nobody is on LC’s level in AA
Checotah vs BA Chrome (BA Chrome) BA is really playing well. Won’t be close.
Hulbert vs Berryhill (Berryhill) Berryhill is a lot better team.

Allin21, your pick for the TYAA Red vs BA White game confuses me. At the top you pick TYAA Red in parenthesis. Then at the end you pick BA White to win 19-12. Which one is it?

Good catch granddaddy! I may change it after watching that OBlack vs BA white game on Wednesday, but yes my orIginal pick was BA white 19-12. Still need to mull that one over some before Saturday.

Division 1

McAlester vs BA Platinum (BA Platinum) This is a really nice matchup. I kinda wanted to go McAlester here but, Platinum seemed to have really held their own against the defending champs. McAlester will give the a different look. #2 is a ballplayer but, Platinum has a few of those themselves. Close ballgame here.

Bixby Red vs Skiatook (Bixby Red) Big Red is still mad about that loss to Glenpool a few weeks ago. They are fine tuning for another huge playoff run.

Glenpool vs Owasso White (Glenpool) *GOTW** This game right here is HUGE! Owasso White has had such a great year so, far. I am seriously really happy for those kids and coaches. What a great job they have all done. I would pick you guys here but, Coachem up and Co are a very serious threat to win it all not only this year but, every year. Those guys just really know their stuff and they have a ton of talent.  They do as good a job as anyone getting their boys ready to play and not many people do more homework. Really wish I could watch this one live.

Bartlesville vs Union Red (Union Red)  Union Red has had a good year this year. My buddies over at Bartlesville never quit and always have those boys ready to play. This should be a competitive ballgame.

Coweta Black vs Claremore (Coweta Black) Claremore is right there on the fringe of taking that next step. A win over a good Coweta Black team may get them there. Coweta Black has lined up with the best this year and held their own. Featuring one of the best backs in this grade means you are in virtually every game no matter what. Should be a fun one.

Division 2

BA Silver vs Wagoner (Wagoner) As I have said I am a fan of BA Silver. Wagoner's HB will be the difference in this ball game tho. That kid has always been special.

Jenks White vs Hilldale (Hilldale) As usual I always roll with my boys. With that being said I tell you what #22 is SPECIAL. That kid is scary fast and really good. Jenks is extremely well coached. Love #7 and those kicks are nice! Our boys have came along nicely. Can't even begin to say how many times we have shot ourselves in the foot this year. I wish I could take what they have learned this year and restart this season. In the end tho I still think a year in AA would do us good. I am looking forward to lining up with a very talented Jenks White team!

Owasso Red vs Union Black (Owasso Red) This game is interesting. I think Owasso has the ability to move the football and cause Union some problems defensively.  In the end it would not surprise me if Union Black pulled out the win here tho. Just going with my gut right now.

TYAA Blue vs BA Black (BA Black) **GOTW** Huge game here! Tyaa Blue has the studs to make this a ball game. BA Black is the truth tho. Tyaa will have to play a perfect ballgame to win this one. BA is a very serious threat to win it all. A HUGE matchup looms next week with Jenks White in what could be a game for the top spot in D2.

Division 3

Owasso Black vs Catoosa (Catoosa) Catoosa is another team right there on the fringe of being really good. They have done such a great job with those boys so, far this year. O-Black is full of gamers but, in the end I think Catoosa pulls out the W.

Bishop Kelly vs Muskogee (Bishop Kelly) I don't know if Bishop Kelly still has #20 but, if they do that is enough for me. He is a gamer!

Sand Spring Black vs Pryor (Pryor) This is a nice matchup. Pryor will hit you in the mouth each and every snap. This is another game I would like to watch live! Should be a fun one. #5 for Sand Springs vs #7 for Pryor. We all know this is a team game but, that is the matchup within the matchup lol.

TYAA Red vs BA White (Tyaa Red) **GOTW** These 2 have some history. Tyaa knocked BA White out of the playoffs last year. I know BA feels they are better than Red. This is their chance to show it. Tyaa seems like they are still not playing at the level they are accustomed too but, make no mistake, the 2x champs are absolutely capable of finding the strode on a moments notice. This game is BIG TIME!

Division 4
Sapulpa vs Bixby Blue (Bixby Blue) Big Blue keeps chugging along.

Choctaw Blue vs Jenks Maroon (Jenks Maroon) Big game here. Jenks Maroon just appears to be on another level. They have some huge games coming ip. They cannot look past Blue here and I am sure they won't. My dark horse in the beginning to be playing for it all.

Edmond vs Choctaw Gold (Edmond) Edmond is on a mission. They are not out of the running to win it all. They just need to finish strong.

Sand Springs Gold vs Norman Tigers (Sand Springs) This will be a good game for both teams.

Norman T-Wolves vs Stillwater (Norman T-Wolves) T-Wolves are legit! Very intrigued to see how this all pans out. Very physical football team. Cooler weather always favors those kind of teams.

AA

Sequoyah vs Coweta White (Coweta White) Coweta White is continuing to improve.

Collinsville vs South Tulsa (Collinsville)
These dirty birds are far from done. I highly expect to see them in the AA Championship game in a rematch against the machine that is LC.
Verdigris vs Lincoln Christian (Lincoln Christian) LC is on a mission. They will be one of the teams in the AA Championship for sure.

Checotah vs BA Chrome (BA Chrome) Chrome is the 3rd best team as far as I can tell.

Hulbert vs Berryhill (Berryhill) Berryhill might have something to say about my last comment.
