Here are my picks for week 4....everyone have a fun weekend and pray for no rain! This is for EPO.
Catoosa (2-1) @ Owasso White (0-3): I, for whatever reason, felt that the Indians were gonna pull the big upset last week and of course, did not. They keep their heads up after a tough loss last week and win BIG here. I hear great things about the BIG Indians.
Sand Springs (1-2) @ Hilldale (0-3): We had a great time scrimmaging the Sandites Tuesday evening, and appreciate them coming to us and working with the boys. They have a good coaching staff and have a lot of talent on that team. Hilldale will be looking for their first win of the season, and its not gonna happen this weekend. Sandites will be too big and too strong.
Choctaw (2-1) @ Bartlesville White: Everyones been talking about how awesome the Choctaw coaching staff is...so I'm picking this game based on that alone. However i think this game could truly go either way. Bville White is playing some decent ball this year...
Collinsville (2-1) @ TYAA Blue (3-0): I picked against the Blue Dawgs last week...and i ate my words. I haven't been one of the guys on the Collinsville bandwagon train this year either. I think this game is over half way through the first quarter. Blue wins easily.
Sequoyah (2-1) @ BA Black (3-0): The Eagles are good, and always seem to improve drastically throughout each season. BA is undefeated, but they also haven't played the Blue Dawgs. I believe Seq walks in and steals a win here, by 2 TDS. They'll be able to stop what i believe is a "one man team".
Bixby Red (2-1) @ Wagoner Red (0-3): Wagoner drew the short end of the stick here lol. Playing B-Red is a tough task anyways...however playing them after they had a close loss is what i describe as a lose-lose situation. Spartans show up and shut the board off.
Owasso Black (1-2) @ Jenks Silver (2-1): i don't know much about the Silver Jenks team...however based off what theyve done so far, i think they get the win this weekend. I think Owassos coaches have been doing good so far this season with what they have, and i think they hang around in this game, until the halftime clock hits 00:00 and the third quarter starts.
Bishop Kelley (2-1) @ Muskogee (3-0): Bishop Kelley has a very aggressive defense, and aren't scared to send the house on every single play on defense. They also might literally have the nicest coaches I've ever met in any sport. However...I don't see their offense having any luck against the Rougher defense. Muskogee is hungry this year and squeaks out a win here...by 2 TDs perhaps. This one might be a good one to watch, but in the end i think the Roughers will just be too much. Good luck Comets, I'll be rooting for you!
Coweta (1-2) @ Claremore (1-2): Still have never seen the Tigers in person in 4 years. Claremore however is very smart on their defensive schemes and has just enough speed on offense to scare a lot of teams on any given week. I believe Claremore smokes them this weekend and builds some confidence heading into week 5.
TYAA White (3-0) @ McAlester (0-3): "We aint got nothin'"...that should be thrown into the same file as "yolo", and "cray cray", and "sorry, not sorry". All those annoying ass slogans that hipsters say these days. You're not fooling anybody...youre gonna rock the Buffaloes this weekend. You know it, i know it, hell everyone knows it. McAlester tries to convert the 2-point kick at the end of regulation, and misses. TYAA White wins 7-6.
Jenks Black (1-2) @ Wagoner Black (2-1): I have Wagoner as a dark horse in the playoffs this year. I think they are THEE definition of a balanced team. Jerks Black is a solid team, however i think Wagoner wins this one big. Good luck to both teams.
BA Silver (2-1) @ Skiatook (0-3): Oh boy....this one here is gonna be a slobber-knocker, and i hate to ever say that. BA is a fun team to watch, but Skiatook better hope they can successfully execute The Annexation of Puerto Rico about 6 different times in this game to make it CLOSE. Tigers roar, that is all.
Bixby Platinum (1-2) @ Union Black (2-1); Im not gonna lie, Platinums win last week surprised me. Their defense is legit, i was just more surprised that they outscored the Sandites. Union Black is fast and physical. I think this game starts out slow...then Union breaks out.
Bartlesville Blue (1-2) @ Grove (3-0): Im not sure that I'm picking against Grove at all this year. In fact, i hope they win the whole damn thing...wouldnt that be a hoot! This is not the Blue team from last year (from what I've been told), and i think the Ridgeruners click on all cylinders this weekend.
Union Silver (3-0) @ Edmond (1-2): Another westside team i know nothing about. Redskins control the game, every way that you possibly can.
Owasso Red (1-2) @ Jenks White (2-1): This should be a good'n folks, however Jenks has what it takes to stop #7 and controls the field when they're on offense. Trojans by a TD.
Del City (2-1) @ Bixby Blue (3-0): Del City will be handed their first loss in a game they've actually played in. Blue wins big!
Sillwater (0-3) @ Norman (0-3): No team from Stilly should ever walk into Gods Country and win a game. EVER. Norman gets their first W. BOOMER!
AA
BA White (1-2) @ Jenks Maroon (0-3); still don't know much about Maroon here, but i know the White Tigers have some solid players. Get 'em Tigers!
Lincoln Christian (3-0) @ Glenpool (1-2): Been waiting for 2 months to see the outcome of this game. Rooting for the Warriors, however that won't help their defense against LC's nasty offense. If the Warriors can limit their turnovers, this could be a shocker.
Pryor (1-2) @ BA Orange (0-3): Too many people that know football have told me that Pryor has seriously improved. Exactly how much, i really don't know and will have to see myself. Going with Pryor on this one, hoping its a close one and perhaps BA can get their first win. Good lucks guys!
Union Red (2-1) @ Sapulpa (3-0): We had a great defensive showdown with BK last week, and hope to keep the momentum on our side heading into this weekend. Americas Team has practiced hard this week and like i stated earlier, had a good time scrimmaging my old school, Charles Page. We got some kinks in our offense fixed and tested out some new defensive formations. Its my sons birthday Saturday and he swears that theres NO WAY he's loosing on his 10th birthday. Theres strong....and then theres CHIEFTAIN STRONG.
