Week 3 Pick'ems!!!

Week 3 Pick'ems!

BEND OR BREAK WEEK!!!

As always EPO!!! Lots of good match ups this week so get your picks in and don't be upset when your team is picked against!

Hilldale (0-2) @ Collinsville (1-1) - Hilldale is a good football team and so is Collinsville. Most people will not see this until the Divisions play out and they find out how tough Division 1 really is. This should be a great game and I have played one team and watched film on the other. I am going with a coin toss on this one and picking Hilldale because they have some monsters up front that get after it. Hilldale

BA Black (2-0) @ Bartlesville White (1-1) - BA Black handles business as always. Bartlesville White offense is very fun to watch and will probably put some points on the board, but BA Black just has to many playmakers. BA Black

TYAA Blue (2-0) @ Catoosa (2-0) - Should be a great game between two undefeated teams. 2Fast2Furious still at it and the Baby Indians just hoping to move the chains in their favor a couple times. Can Catoosa's Spread Offense get these Bulldogs off pace? See you Bulldogs for the 7 PM kickoff under the lights! Don't be late! Catoosa

Owasso White (0-2) @ Sequoyah (1-1) - Owasso White hasn't found the end zone, not sure what is going on over there, but they have another tough game and I'm sure Sequoyah didn't take their last loss too lightly no matter who it was. Sequoyah gets back on track for the Playoff run. Sequoyah

Sand Springs (1-1) @ Bixby Platinum (0-2) - Sand Springs coming off a big win and now faces off with a tough defense. Sand Springs offense will be tough for Platinum to contain. Sandites start their season off at 2-1. Sand Springs

Wagoner Red (0-2) @ Muskogee (2-0) - Wagoner Red has a tough first 4 games. Muskogee gets another win here starting their season off 3-0. Just don't think the Bulldogs can pull this one off, prove me wrong Bulldogs! Muskogee

Jenks Silver (1-1) @ Bixby Red (2-0) - This will be a good game to watch. Both teams tough on defense, score stays close but the home team wins this game. Bixby Red

McAlester (0-2) @ Coweta (0-2) - Both teams haven't won a game and both haven't found their way to the end zone yet. Taking the Tigers to do both this week, but I believe it will be a close game still. Mac Daddy don't hurt my feelings like you did last year! Coweta

TYAA White (2-0) @ Owasso Red (1-1) - Owasso Red is coming off a 12-0 loss to Union Silver last week. This Owasso Red is a tough team and I don't think they will beat this Bulldog team, but don't count them out of it for sure. TYAA White

Claremore (0-2) @ Owasso Black (1-1) - Owasso Black gets their first win last week winning 7-0 over McAlester. Mac says it was a good play at the end of the game to win, but nevertheless it's still a win. Claremore is a very emotional team and when they play with that emotion their coaches instill in them then they are as tough as anyone in the league, but the downfall is when they don't play with that emotion then they let anyone in the league be tougher than them. I think they get their first win of the season this week in a close game with Owasso Black. Good Luck to both teams as I think this game could go either way here. Claremore

Skiatook (0-2) @ Jenks Black (0-2) - Jenks Black has played two tough opponents with very good defenses the first two weeks, well so has Skiatook, but the problem is neither one has found the endzone. This will be a good game for both teams to play in and unfortunately only 1 winner. Really on the fence about this game, but my gut says to go with Jenks Black. I know they have playmakers and I'll stick to my gut. Jenks Black

Wagoner Black (1-1) @ Pryor (1-1) - Pryor had a great win over BA White 33-0 and this week they have a chance to show they are getting better every week with a great football team coming to play. Wagoner is 1 called back TD and 1 broken play away from being 2-0 right now. They played the Blue Spartans tough and they roll in this week taking care of business in Pryor. Wagoner Black

Union Black (1-1) @ Bartlesville Blue (1-1) - Hard for me to get a finger on this Bartlesville Blue team. They get beat 14-6 by Collinsville who got beat 30-13 by Sand Springs. Then they go and beat Bixby Platinum 33-0 who played BA Silver tough in a 14-0 Ball Game. Then BA Silver beats Union Black 19-12 in a close game from start to finish. Tough game to pick, does Blue carry the momentum or does Union Black bounce back after their tough loss. I think this will be one heck of a ball game and can be the start of a fresh season for one team or the other and the end of the season for the loser of the game. Nothing in the gut telling me to go one way or the other so coin flip going with Union Black. Union Black

Grove (2-0) @ BA Silver (2-0) - Here you go Silver it's time to show you are a better team than last year. A Grove team that figured you guys out twice last year and now you get to play them at home. We are in our 4th year playing football and I still don't know a whole lot about this Grove team. Seem to be well coaches and obviously they have playmakers. All I hear about is #66 and #4 are so great, but they handle business when they need too and lost in semi finals last year to TYAA White 14-13 so there must be more to this team than 2 kids and good coaching. Silver is kind of the same way, 2 kids that you hear about, but that's it. I know they have a #8 QB that is fast and can throw down field and a #3 RB that can make plays on both sides of the ball. I never hear anything about heir #9 RB or anything about their linemen.......surely 2 kids don't make this team as good as they are? Anyways I'm going with Grove on this one until BA Silver can show me different. Grove

Norman (0-2) @ Del City (1-1) - I have no idea.......Del City if they show up to their own home game? I want to go with consistency in Norman, but if Del City doesn't have a tournament this weekend then Del City. Del City

Jenks White (2-0) @ Union Silver (2-0) - Jenks White had a forfeit first game and beat Stillwater 33-0 the second. Union Silver beat Coweta 33-0 the first game then beat Owasso Red 12-0 the second game. Jenks hasn't been tested this year, but this week their offense should be tested playing against a good Union Silver defense. Still want to see more football before I jump on board on either team. Both are good teams, but how good? Union Silver

Bixby Blue (2-0) @ Choctaw (2-0) - Choctaw has done a great job the first two games playing West teams. They get to face off with one of the best East Teams this week. Good Luck to both teams, sticking with Blue Spartans! Bixby Blue

Edmond (0-2) @ Stillwater (0-2) - Stillwater plays at home this week against the Edmond Bulldogs where hey are looking for their first victory. Edmond comes prepared to play for their 1st victory as well, but I think the Home team pushes harder for the win with all the grand parents attending. Stillwater

AA

Glenpool (0-2) @ Union Red (2-0) - Union looks better this year that's for sure, but Glenpool hasn't had the best draw their first two games. Taking Glenpool in an "Upset". Glenpool

Sapulpa (2-0) @ Bishop Kelley (2-0) - Good matchup here and should be a good game, but Sapulpa gets a nice win on the road continuing to 3-0. Sapulpa

Jenks Maroon (0-2) @ Lincoln Christian (2-0) - Jenks Maroon is having trouble starting their new team up and this week won't help them any either. Lincoln Christian

BA Orange (0-2) @ BA White (0-2) - Well we will have a winner this week. Going with BA Orange good luck to both teams, only one can win. BA Orange

to be fair to the lil buffs, we did find the end zone twice last week against Owasso black, both called back for penalties ::), game should have ended 14-7 mac but it is what it is. Owasso played well and got really lucky with 2:00 left in the 4th, intercepted a pass and ran it back for 6.

Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda all the same brother.......still looking for that end zone. I'm sure there are some plays in every game that both teams want to take back and you have to get there without the yellow flags too. It's all good, I'm sure they all played hard just go get that win this weekend.

Lil Buffs have some talent on that team and once they get it together they will have a solid football team. They did find the end-zone twice on the rams which one of them was blocking in the back which the guy was going to score regardless so the Buffs should have had that one. The second one the WR held the Rams corner by the jersey and eventually the face mask that completely took him out of the play, so I am not sure he would have scored on that play.  My opinion game should have been 7-7 and gone into OT, regardless penalties happened on both sides that cost both teams. The rams were driving and 2 back to back penalties brought them back around 20 yards and killed the drive so it happens. As far as the pick six, it was not a lucky play as the OLB hit the QB as he was throwing which caused it to be a short pass and the corner made a play on the ball. Coverage was there regardless had he got it off.

It was a fun game to watch as both defenses played really well. Keep working MAC as you guys have improved a bunch from last season.

Week 3 gets a little more interesting some big matchups.

B'ville white vs. B.A black- Black gets the win here continuing to show why they deserve to be a top 5 team. Turns the clock off.

GOTW 1. TYAA BLUE VS. CATOOSA- THIS GAME WILL COME DOWN TO CATOOSA COACHING AND GAME PLAN. CAN THEY SLOW THIS GAME DOWN? CAN THEY STOP BLUE FROM HITTING HOMERUNS, INDIANS PUT UP 96 POINTS IN TWO GAMES BUT NOW YOU PLAYING A TEAM WHO WILL NOT ALLOW ALOT. CAN CATOOSA MAKE BLUE PLAY FOR 4 WHOLE QUARTERS? TYAA BLUE BY 3 TDS

Hilldale vs. Cville- I'm not giving up on the Hornets. This is a very even matchup and a very win able game for the Hornets. Cville will play hard so don't expect to jus walk in and get it. Hornets by a td.

SS vs. Bixby plat- plat kept it close against silver, and then came out and got the clock turn off. I don't know what to expect from them. Going with SS with 2 tds.

Owasso white vs. Sequoyah- Eagles came out last week flying but couldn't stay up there. O-White haven't scored this season, and I don't think the Eagles will let them score Saturday either. Eagles start a win streak this week.

B'ville blue vs. Union black- this is a interesting game. If blue have found there MOJO this could be a huge upset. Black played a good game last week losing late in the quarter. I think Black bounce back with a td win.

Del city vs. Norman- Del get another win. But they better learn how to play within the rules cause I know that will not fly when they play bixby blue. Del turn clock off.

GOTW 3. Jenks white vs. Union silver- power vs. Speed. I think the physical play of white can definitely win this game. Silver has the speed to make things difficult. I'm taking white to dominate the offensive and defensive line of Union. White by a td.

GOTW 2. BA SILVER VS. GROVE- A REMATCH FROM LAST YEAR AND I'M SURE SILVER IS NOT HOPING FOR THE SAME OUTCOME. GROVE PHYSICAL PLAY WILL BE A PROBLEM FOR SILVER. SILVER WILL NEED TO HIT SOME HOMERUNS AND MAKE GROVE HAVE TO SPEED UP THERE OFFENSE. GROVE BY 2 TDS

Jenks black vs. Skiatook- Black have a few athletes who will help this team get a win.

Wagoner black vs. Pryor- last week wagoner let yall know they are still a playoff team. Playing bixby blue close and the only td coming off of a broken play, and wagoner td being call back. Wagoner turns clock off this week.

Bixby blue vs. Choctaw- Blue coming out a dog fight with a win will be ready to go this weekend. Choctaw having 32 kids will be hard for them to win this game. But at least there boys will get to play some good football. Blue turns clock off.

Owasso red vs. Tyaa white- white is very big, very fast, and I do believe the team to beat. Red had trouble getting on the score board last week. White will give them the same trouble this weekend. 26-0 white.

Edmond vs. Stillwater- Edmond will bounce back this week and get a win as long as they don't let another kid with a 1 stripe run the ball. Stillwater still haven't showed that pre-season top 10 yet.

GOTW 4. BIXBY RED VS. JENKS SILVER- THIS GAME WILL BE CLOSE JENKS IS VERY SOLID ON DEFENSE. ON OFFENSE IF THEY PUT A PLAYMAKER AT THE QB POSITION THEY WILL BE ALOT BETTER. RED DEFENSE WILL BE THE KEY TO THIS WIN NOT GIVING UP MUCH YARDAGE. WINNING BY FIELD POSITION, RED WILL PIN SILVER DEEP ON A CHANGE OF DOWNS TO GET THERE SCORE. RED BY A TD

Coweta vs. McAlester- both teams looking for a win, not alot of points will be scored. I think Coweta RB get the only score of this game. Coweta by 6

Owasso black vs. Claremore- zebra get there 1st win Saturday, played alot better last weekend. This week they get there 1st points of the season. Black will be looking to improve to 2-1 so don't expect nothing easy zebras. Zebras by 2 tds.

Muskogee vs. Wagoner Red- Roughers at home where we love to play, our fans help us the most. Boys took a game off last week and almost took a L with it. Red have speed and if kid get to edges that could be a problem with his speed. Roughers bounce back after last week performance.

So nobody has mentioned this yet. 8 teams that are 2-0 are playing another 2-0 team this week. 7 of those teams are in the top ten. 4 undefeated teams will be 2-1 after this week. Possibly 4 of the teams in the "top ten."

That's why I made my games GOTW because those games will be a impact on the top 10. I didn't put the bixby blue game as a GOTW because Choctaw has 32 kids I don't see that being a good matchup.

Wow week 3 already!! This is the week when coaches have to stop playing play station on the field and coach from the sidelines!! I think that all of the top 10, top dog, ain't got nothing talk starts week 3. Here we go with the fun and the true test of pick'ems! There are some tough match ups this week it's going to be a good weekend of football! Good luck everyone and make sure these kids have fun!

Hilldale (0-2) @ Collinsville (1-1) - Don't let the records of either of these teams fool you. They are both tough and have lost to very good football teams to start the season. I'm going with the home team here. Cardinals

BA Black (2-0) @ Bartlesville White (1-1) - Both teams are tough up front, speed wins this game. BA

TYAA Blue (2-0) @ Catoosa (2-0) - I can't wait to see this game! Two very tough, well coached teams getting down! I said the first week my pick'ems upsets would start later, well it's later. I think if the little Indians can get a stop or two on defense, they can control the clock and drive down and score, plus home field advantage comes into play. Catoosa in close one

Owasso White (0-2) @ Sequoyah (1-1) - I do think that Owasso will find the end zone this week, but Sequoyah will get there more. Sequoyah

Sand Springs(1-1) @ Bixby Platinum (0-2) - Bixby is a very good football team and have had a couple of tough losses. Sandites have started playing football and having fun doing it! Sandites roll on!

Wagoner Red (0-2) @ Muskogee (2-0) - I am watching for this Wagoner team to play like I know Wagoner teams can! Muskogee is tough and fast. Muskogee

Jenks Silver (1-1) @ Bixby Red (2-0) - Jenks Silver is a very good football team. This Bixby Red team is well coached and down right tough, and toughness wins this one. Bixby Red

McAlester (0-2) @ Coweta (0-2) - This is the week that the Buffaloes get control of the penalties that seem to be haunting them. McAlester

TYAA White (2-0) @ Owasso Red (1-1) - Owasso Red has to keep this game close to have a chance. I haven't seen them play so I'm not sure they can do that. Dogs run away with this one in the second half

Claremore (0-2) @ Owasso Black (1-1) - This Claremore team is another team that their record so far doesn't show how good they are. I think they start rollin this week. Claremore

Skiatook (0-2) @ Jenks Black (0-2) - I haven't seen either of these teams so I will go with my gut. Jenks

Wagoner Black (1-1) @ Pryor (1-1) - Pryor has obviously gotten better, that shows in their shut out last week. It looks like Black could be the better of the two Wagoner teams. To lose by one TD to Bixby Blue is saying something! Wagoner

Union Black (1-1) @ Bartlesville Blue (1-1) - This will be a good game, two very good teams. I think this game will be won by coaching from the sidelines so I'm going with Bartlesville.

Grove (2-0) @ BA Silver (2-0) - I have a special kind of relationship with BA's QB and his family, not just another player that played for me, who everyone knows is a heck of an athlete. But it goes way beyond that, he is a good, smart kid too. This is very hard for me to do, but I have to go with the toughness and coaching staff of Grove. Coach Elliot please prove me wrong!

Norman (0-2) @ Del City (1-1) - I know nothing about either team except I can't pick a team that pulled what they did the first week without an apology. Norman

Jenks White (2-0) @ Union Silver (2-0) - I'm not sure how good either of these teams really are. I do think that Union Silver may be the better Union Team. Again this game comes down to coaching from the sidelines. Union Silver in a close one

Bixby Blue (2-0) @ Choctaw (2-0) - Choctaw coach definitely has my respect! Choctaw as a team will have everyone's respect if they can beat a very good Bixby Blue team this week. Until then I will go with the team I know about, Bixby Blue

Edmond (0-2) @ Stillwater (0-2) - Going with home field advantage here. Stillwater in a close one

AA

Glenpool (0-2) @ Union Red (2-0) - I have went with Glenpool the last two weeks and am going to give them one more chance here to show me they are still very good! Glenpool

Sapulpa (2-0) @ Bishop Kelley (2-0) - This will be a very good football game. I still am not sure it was a good move for Sapulpa to go AA, they are a very good football team. Sapulpa

Jenks Maroon (0-2) @ Lincoln Christian (2-0) - LC is another AA team I feel could compete all around the league. LC

BA Orange (0-2) @ BA White (0-2) - I know nothing here, flipping a coin. BA

@sanditestrong, interesting pick!!! Good luck with that one.
@honeybadger,  We don't hit homeruns we counter punch. When you know you  everyone is gonna come out swinging, you duck and counter until they stop swinging. Then comes the take off!!! We in flight. #bulldogs #back2back #putsumrespectonit.....I dare "the Hit Squad to pull up" lol

@HB, I already know. The Gee is one of the few teams who will line up in a scrimmage. What they don't know is to be the best you gotta compete with the best at every opportunity. Watch all the film ya want but until they line up they are not ready for the speed of the game that we play at.
