Good little break downs , as usual bro.. I'm not having baseball practice this evening ,so I may be able to throw my pickems together.   

Sequoyah @ Patriots- Sequoyah has a well-coached, tough team. Not sure how the Patriots are doing yet but don’t see them beating these guys. I may even have to adjust my AA rankings to put Sequoyah at #2 above Lincoln. We’ll see…..

Owasso Red @ BA White – Tough sledding for O Red here although I was kind of impressed they only lost 18-6 to claremore week 1. From what I can tell Red is the better of the two Owasso teams though. They had a better record than Silver last year. White will try to break the scoreboard if they can.

Owasso Silver @ Yellowjackets – Same story here for Owasso. Yellow Jackets have a comparatively light schedule this year. Could easily see them only losing as few as 2 or less games this year. Division 2’s 2nd and 3rd spots are going to be a dog fight.

BA Silver @ Mcalester – Mcalester should be able to get a win in here against BA Silver.

Sand Springs @ Bixby Blue – I’m tempted to say Bixby here as they did win several notable games in the PST, but Sand Springs deserves respect for making it into the Playoffs as the D4 3 seed last year.

Yukon @ Choctaw Gold- Still no idea on the Choctaw split like everyone else, but Yukon had a tough year last year. Betting Choctaw gets it done.

Glenpool @ BA Gold –This game had a lot of chatter around it last year only to see a 26-0 shut out that I want to say I heard the refs ended early? Can’t remember, although I do remember I predicted it wouldn’t be close last year. This year I still say Glenpool gets it done convincingly, but I also say Gold scores a TD or 2 on them. This also could still be one of the toughest games Glenpool has this year in regular season play. Great early season temperature check for both teams.

Collinsville @ Jenks Maroon – GOTW #2 this week and another great temperature check to see especially where Jenks Maroon is really at this year. A lot of people talking about losing the RB to Silver has Maroon as the weaker of the 2 Jenks teams. Not sure I’m buying that but will be interesting to see. This is a game that I would have liked to see happen last year, but should still be a great defensive battle. Maroon was scored on twice by Bixby White last year and no one else. C’ville was scored on by Sand Springs once and Glenpool 3 times and that’s it. Pretty impressive.

Coweta @ Union Black – Union Black handles business easily. Coweta will have easier games ahead.

Edmond @ Norman –Norman or Newcastle or whatever here. Thoroughly confused on this. Didn’t realize there were 2 teams. I guess there are 9 teams in D1 this year.

Fort Gibson @ Lincoln Christian – Going with Lincoln for a win,  maybe we can find out how Fort Gibson did last week also.

Hilldale @ Sapulpa – Sapulpa and Hilldale both had rough starts but Sapulpa is the bigger and faster team in my opinion.

Bixby White @ Muskogee – Another game that should be very good. Both had tough week 1 losses but could both still easily be playoff caliber teams. Both have big physical linemen, strong defensive play and coaches that obviously prepare them well. I ranked Bixby White in my rankings because while yes, they did have a week 1 loss, they were final 4 last year and losing 7-0 to TYAA is significant, when I believe we’ll start seeing TYAA turn the scoreboard off a lot. Either way, huge game as it’s hard to imagine the loser of this going 0-2 and still making the playoffs as they both still have a lot of tough games ahead.

Skiatook @ Union Silver – Skiatook will handle things easily here. They shut out over half of their opponents last year and will be looking to do the same here.

Jenks Silver @ BA Black – I don’t think BA Black gets thumped again as hard as last week against Glenpool but still going Jenks Silver. Another score I’m interested to see as far as gauging each team’s progress. 

Norman @ Piedmont – Picking against Piedmont here regardless of Norman or Newcastle.

Bartlesville @ Verdigris – Personally I don’t agree with ranking Verdigris with the other single A teams and I won’t. They chose to go to AA which in some ways surprised me but in other ways it didn’t. They’re a great team inside a small program and have every right to be there, just don’t see how I could rank them above some other very solid Single A teams with much tougher schedules. Pretty sure they’ll be forced into single A next year either way after they most likely run the table in AA. Good luck to them and B’ville.

Stillwater @ Westmoore – Bold prediction here that I could be completely wrong on, but I say Westmoore actually takes over D1 this year (or at least steps in front of Stillwater). Good luck to both either way, but it’s a hunch.

Catoosa @ Claremore – Catoosa’s a pretty good team, but the Zebras are going to attempt to send a strong message with another convincing win as they fight for a Playoff spot in a crowded D4.

Comets @ Berryhill – Going with the Comets but could go either way since Comets haven’t been reporting scores here. They both finished 1-8 last year regular season.

Grove @ TYAA – GOTW #1. TYAA with the speed, Grove with the size and very fast RB. Going TYAA by a couple of scores though. Still think It’ll be a close and really tough game. Not sure how much Grove may have added since watching their film last year but the 2 TYAA teams combining is going to probably ruin a lot of people’s days. Grove only lost 2 games last year going into the playoffs as the D2 2 seed but lost early  in a close game to Bixby White.

Umm is something going on with scheduling that we dont know about with the BA vs Glenpool game? Im trying to read between the lines but having trouble figuring it out.

Don’t think Glp is trying to get out of a game that they won by 20 plus last year—— only bs is that this is even a conversation

Well apparently after they found out they would have to forfeit all the players were immediately tested and came back negative.
