Making weekly pics is fun trying to predict who's going to win, but I love it when underdogs prove us all wrong. Hope all the boys have fun and continue to grow as young men of quality and character no matter the outcome.
Choctaw Gold @ Edmond –Going Choctaw, but not sure which of their 2 teams will be better.
LC @ Comets – BK Comets will probably struggle with this tough start in AA.
Claremore @ Owasso Red – Owasso Red doesn’t get a lot of attention but they aren’t a bad team. 4-5 regular season with 3 PST wins I think. Should be a decent game but Claremore will most likely get the W.
Union Black @ BA Silver – Union Black should dominate easily here.
MC Patriots @ Fort Gibson – Going with FG on a hunch.
Jenks Maroon @ Grove – Should be a good game but not sure it’ll be GOTW worthy. Really interested to see if Maroon’s defense resumes their reign of terror. Only team to allow zero points scored against them the entire 9 games of the 2019 regular season. Surprised me with a 13-6 loss to Bixby white in second round of Playoffs.
Norman @ Stillwater – Norman-Newcastle? Norman went 5-4 last year, could be interesting to see how they may have revamped with the addition of Newcastle.
Union Silver @ Catoosa – Catoosa won 1 game regular season, and 1 game in the PST last year. Will give the nod to Union Silver although I believe this may be the weaker of the 2 Union teams. Will be interesting to see how many points get put up.
BA White @ Coweta – Anyone else notice that Coweta combined teams this year? Not sure it’ll make a huge difference since neither team did very well last year, but hard to say for sure, could be something there.
South Tulsa Yellow Jackets @ Sand Springs – May be a closer game here than some realize. Both Playoff teams that lost first round last year.
TYAA @ Bixby White – Tough pic for me because I severely underestimated Bixby most of the year last year and don’t want to again…. But, I’m going with TYAA. Still think they may be in the championship conversation a lot this year. THE GOTW in my opinion.
Westmoore @ Choctaw Blue – Could be a close one. Going with Westmoore though since I don’t know which Choctaw team is dominant yet. Both finished 5-3 last year regular season.
BA Gold @ Owasso Silver- Probably a soft opener for BA Gold.
Berryhill @ Bartlesville – this was a 12-6 game last year. Could go either way.
Sapulpa @ Sequoyah – Taking Sequoyah but I bet this is a pretty good game.
Piedmont @ Yukon – Piedmont handled them easily last year.
Mcalester @ Skiatook – Top 5 Team, no doubt.
BA Black @ Glenpool – Anyone doubting Glenpool is still on top is wrong for now. I think there are chinks in the armor but still the team to beat.
Verdigris @ Hilldale – Hearing Verdigris may have struggled during the scrimmages? I may be wrong, still taking them here.
Muskogee @ Collinsville – A GOTW for me. Should be a close and hard fought defensive game possibly. Great measuring stick to see how much Muskogee may have improved.
Bixby Blue @ Jenks Silver – I’m very tempted to go J Silver here, but Bixby Blue beat them in the PST last year and only lost to LC and TYAA Black. Giving Blue the credit they deserve based off last years PST bracket.
