2nd Week Scrimmages Notes, Standouts

(1/5) > >>

Owasso_Joe:
I’m out of town this weekend and was expecting to see some chatter here about how the 2nd week of scrimmages went.

-How did things go? Any new teams to be on the lookout for?

-I heard Hilldale looked good today from a somewhat biased source.. ;D

-How did the TYA scrimmages go today? Does TYA Red have the same team intact from last year? Any new additions to that squad this year?

If you were there today, please share your thoughts on what you saw.

Looking forward to the season opener next Saturday! Should be another great season for an extremely talented age group.

2nd week of scrimmages and it sounds like a bunch of crickets chirping in 4th grade.

HilldaleMike:
We were at Fort Gibson yesterday and scrimmaged Ft Gibson, Union Silver, Lincoln Christian, and Sapulpa.

Union Silver- they’re big and they’re fast. We lined up against them on offense and they seemed to be all over the field. Very well coached and are gonna cause problems for some teams. Definitely was a measuring stick for us and showed us what we need to work on.

Lincoln Christian- Would be surprised if they don’t make it to the ship in AA. Big physical team that will throw on you. Your corners better be ready cause they’re coming at you.

Fort Gibson will be competitive very soon. First year team that played up last year due to numbers. They put us in a bind with a formation that we are gonna have to address. I won’t give the formation up though  ;D. They’re also our rivals in high school so there’s gonna be many more games with them.

Sapulpa- big team that will be really good once those bigs get more comfortable and start playing up to their size. Don’t sleep on them.

Good scrimmage all around. Ready to get this season going.
