1. Bixby Blue - Defending champs and nothing I have seen so far has lead me to believe that they don't have a legit chance to repeat. I seen them with my own eyes at the first scrimmage and they are light years ahead of where a lot of teams start in 3rd grade. Only the good teams look like that this early. There are a few other that have achieved that in this grade as well. The only real question mark I see with Bixby is the amount of players they have. I know they had a lot last year as well, but it is different in 11 man. If that doesn't bother them then they will be one of the last teams standing in the end.

2. Tyaa Red - Tyaa Red has been flirting with greatness for several seasons. While it is true that I haven't laid eyes on them personally this year I have heard from several trusted sources as to what they look like and I am not surprised. Athletically they are as good as it gets. I hear they are super aggressive and super fast. They have always had a talented line on both sides and that only gets better from here on out. If I am being honest with you here I am not so sure that these guys shouldn't be the betting favorites. A big game this week against BA Gold should tell alot about both teams.

3. Tyaa Blue - That 1st grade Championship still resonates in my mind. These guys probably feel a bit disrespected and rightfully so. Nobody has dominated them and they have every bit the ability to win it all as anyone. If their offense ever gets fined tuned they will be trouble for everyone. With a coaching staff that does their homework and a team that athletically has an argument as the best in the grade this Tyaa Blue team is a threat to go all the way if they get everything going at the same time. Did I mention that they may have the best player in the grade in #7? Special kid for sure.

4. Glenpool - For anyone who wants to sleep on Jimmy and the Warriors I say do so at your own risk. With a huge Week 2 match up against my current #5 team on the horizon a lot will be told about both teams after this week. I haven't got to see much of Melo, but I finally have got to see him and the kid is super special. I am definitely a fan. As far as #85 goes anyone who says that they wouldn't take him is either lying or out of their mind. Kid is super fast for his size and plain nasty on both sides of the ball. I could say a bit more, but I will save that for my little post on the "Heisman" subject if I get time. Chatter is some people are rooting for these guys to fail, but I just don't see it. If they win this week I may have to jump them to #1. Stayed tuned.

5. Choctaw Blue - I haven't seen a Choctaw team live since the 1st grade Championship game. I have heard from multiple sources what they got going on over at Choctaw and it sounds impressive. A Week2 match-up against my current #4 team will tell a lot about these guys. Super impressive performance against BA Gold a week ago and a win here may have me kicking them up to #1 or #2 next week. These guys have the ability to be there in the end from what I can gather.

6. Ft Gibson - To be so close I can honestly say that I have not yet got to lay eyes on Ft Gibson yet. That is about to change very soon. With a guy like Forrest over there helping what I am hearing is an already impressive coaching staff and a kid that apparently plays with the swagger of an OU era Mayfield I am nothing short of impressed. I have heard great things about the QB and I have noticed those things have lead to impressive victories over equally impressive teams. These guys have a big one against Muskogee in Week 2 after a dominating performance against BA White in Week 1. I will get to see both teams shortly so depending on the outcome I will be able to tell you more about what I think. They didn't make it to the Championship a year ago by accident. They will be in the hunt again this year.

7. Coweta Black - This is a team nobody is talking about, but having seen them personally I am not so sure that they don't belong in that Top 6. This Coweta Black team is really good and right now they are one of my sleeper picks. I am not sure exactly how good just yet, but with 2 backs that could arguably start on most teams in the grade and a physical looking defense these guys could make some noise this year. Time will tell.

8. Muskogee - Having lined up with Muskogee and set to play them Week 3 these guys are impressive athletically. Built in a mold very similar to the Tyaa teams these guys will give most fits. They have impressive size and a couple of speedster's that are hard to tackle. There are a few variables that are keeping them from getting to that next level tho. 1. Is having that many kids. That is a lot of kids and that is tough for even the best of coaches. It matters in the close ones more than anything. If they come out and beat Ft Gibson on Saturday then they will definitely have shown me up and I guarantee that I will have in the Top 5 next week.

9. LC - These guys are as physical upfront as any team we have played. Once their offense gets fine tuned they will be a handful for most. They could jump up and beat just about anyone under the right circumstances, but I think their best ball is yet to come. I will be watching as the season moves along.

10. Sand Springs - I can't lie I had a hard time deciding who should be here. Sand Springs has always been impressive, but as is a common theme in 11 man they just have so many kids. In a close game with a good team it is virtually impossible to get that many kids in and win a game unless all of the kids are on the same level. That's not a knock on them or anyone, but it is a fact.  Don't believe me start counting plays or have an opposing coach start running clock. It is all a part of the game. In every other aspect Sand Springs is legit good and I am sure that these coaches will be prepared for the challenge that I have mentioned.

On the Bubble:

BA Gold - These guys have hands down the toughest schedule of any of us. A Week 1 match up with Choctaw Blue has many people counting them out, but they get a chance to right the ship with a Week 2 matchup with Tyaa Red. A win there catapults them back in contention. At the end of the year if they are able to make the playoffs they will definitely have been battle tested.

BA Black - These guys are a pretty decent team and I only expect them to get better as the season moves on. I am interested to see if they can make the playoffs out of their division.

As usual all in fun and EPO guys. Please don't get in your feelings over a Forum post that apparently nobody cares about, but yet everyone makes an account to read and creep lol. This is the year I will be doing as much homework as possible and I can guarantee that by years in there will be few who have spent the time that I have in order to have an accurate opinion of most. I am a fan of the sport and more importantly a fan of these little guys.. I enjoy watching them achieve greatness.. I wish you all the best of luck moving forward.
