Wow this is shaping up to be a great post season. I know there is a lot of posturing to determine which division was the toughest, but seeing how it has shaken out to this point tells me the INFC hit the bullseye on division parity.

I’m sure there will be a pick em posted later so I’ll save my scores for then. Hats off to all 4 teams. I’ve watched em all play live and in color and I hope to catch both these games as well. Should be fun

It would be tough to watch both semifinal games. I think the BA Black vs Edmond game is being played in Edmond.

Edmond is a different animal. Every coach I talked to prior to playing said these exact words "I don't know coach, it's just weird." They run their offense excellently. Their defense is great and they have good speed. You can't make mistakes against them that is for sure.

Yeah I was going to stay and watch but, my Kindergartener had a game in Pryor that day. We got film on them vs LC &  BA Gold and we felt pretty good about matching up with them but, we just didn't show up and play like we're capable. We did some things that were very uncharacteristic of us and that didn't help because Edmond played flawlessly for the most part. Their coach is one of the best in our grade. They have numerous weapons on offense and #20 is a monster of a 1 striper. All that being said their offense is what makes them so, special. I obviously have never been a D1 coach but, the best thing I could compare it to is what all the other coaches say when they have to line up against the option when they play Georgia Tech. You never see it and once you do you have to change everything to prep for it. Their defense fly's to the football and they are just really well prepared. It really stung but, they just handed us our worst loss ever and I feel like they are the team to beat moving forward. I wish we was one of the last 4 standing but, my hat is tipped to the 4 that made it. Really awesome matchups in the semis and any one of those teams could bring home the gold ball. Bixby Red kinda seems like they are on a mission and that game with White will be like the 3rd time those guys have matched up in the semis or finals. Crazy stuff.

Bixby Red @ TYAA White Both teams on the same bracket side playing great football. Bixby red is just a great team all around. there oline with #22 is awesome to watch. that kids is like 105 lbs moving like a Rb, pulls really well and they just run there offense very well. The thing that makes that offense work so well is the man upfront and the lead blockers getting to the second level. Its hard to tackle when all your guys are blocked lol. There Qb and Rb's are all around 80 lbs and hard to tackle. They dont have a dynamic back with super speed, but all there skills guys are just so athletic and hard to tackle. There D just flies to the ball. #45 Will be everywhere he does a great job staying outside contain and getting of the block every play. There lb's flow to the ball very well and make alot of tackles. There is a reason they have only given up 13 points. Tyaa White has a great team with #4 leading the way on offense. They wont beat you with a exotic offense, there almost like a Edmond team where they run there offense very well at you. #4 is a very fast back and hard to tackle. and they have a good O-line. There D is very good and they hit hard. My Prediction I think Bixby wins this game there Offense with misdirection will give Tyaa fits. Bixby Red defense is the best ive seen in 3rd grade this year with Edmond and Ba Black right behind. Bixby Red 13-0


BA Black @ Edmond
The Battle of 2 defense and power O. Talk about a game that will be smash mouth football! Edmond runs right at you and they run there offense to perfection and there oline pushes the d back on every play. Ba Black does the same thing. Both Defense are big and dont make many mistakes. Ba Black Oline is the best in the business with kids doing there job and getting to next level. They have some nice backs and that qb is very shifty. Edmond has some great speed in the backfield and when they get to open field there gone.  I really have no clue on who wins this game. Im thinking the score will be 14-13 Ba Black with the win. I just think Ba black has the size to match up with Edmond well.

EPO. Hats off to all the volunteers this year that have helped these kids become better football players! Also thanks for the breakdowns every week from shaffer and cards fan! and all the others. I will be watching the tyaa vs bixby game for sure!

Big Red Machine with the shutout 13-0. No disrespect to the champs but that D is lockdown. If I was an oddsmaker it would be a 6pt spread though!

Edmond adds another victim to their resume with BA Black traveling to their house. That defense will do enough to stop the tigers from imposing their will like they have all year. Don’t think it’ll be high scoring so I’ll say 13-7 Edmond

Bixby Red vs TYAA White
Bixby Red is has the best defense in the league in my opinion. Fresh off a shutout victory over a very good Glenpool Blue team, they will have their hands full with TYAA White. Bixby plays a really fundamentally sound brand of football. They block and tackle extremely well and are always in position. TYAA White has flown under the radar this season but here they are again... They have great team speed and fly to the ball on defense. They have a few stud running backs that can score at any point, but I think their defense is why they're so good. This game should be a defensive battle. I think the first team to score wins.
Final prediction- Bixby Red 12 TYAA White 7

BA Black vs Edmond
This one should be exciting! Edmond has only allowed 19 points through 11 games, which is a huge reason why they are undefeated. I fully expect Edmond to have a dominate defense, but they have yet to face an offense like ours. Remember, Jenks Maroon only allowed 26 points all season and we put up 21. Now to the other side of things. Edmond runs an offense that is almost impossible to read. It isn't as explosive, but it is effective. They do a great job of running hard and picking up yardage. I think both teams eat a lot of clock driving the field. The clock is going to be vital in this one. Running out of time at the end of either half could kill a team. Extra points are extremely important and could be the deciding factor. Edmond is a great team that will give us a serious run for our money, but I think our head coach will do a great job controlling the clock and capitalizing on extra points.
Final Prediction- BA Black 13 Edmond 12

Im not sure what's so difficult about that question. But we can move it to Bixby if we can't find a field.  :)

Out of all the years I've done this I've never not heard when we play by Sunday morning after the qtrs of the semi finals game times, etc.
