You guys signed up for 9u football! All the kids have to be under a certain age. It’s common in the Classic when you play aged based tourneys that some teams will pick up several kids up that meet the requirement for age. We picked up 4 kids that played 4th. Just like 10 u does and 11u. There was 3 9u teams and 3 4th graders. They combine those teams to make a bracket. They only thing that was wrong is the bracket is it said 3rd grade. And Renee the director sent me a text message stating the brackets would be combined. So it’s comical to me that you guys protested to get a fake championship. And that I had to deal with that last night and prove our team was real and not cheating. Your roster was older then ours if you look at both of them. You guys had a chance to beat us fair and square and came up short no reason to send in a protest and say you won it

That’s why I said it was a mess. Hit squad had fourth graders so they where moved to the 9u tournament

Their  roster was younger than storms? I don't understand.    So it wd have been fine if they had a 11 year old kid as long as he was in 3rd grade makes no sense.    Anyway was a good tourney before the crying ---

Side note question. What’s the point of having a double elimination tourney if there isn’t a play in game?

Lol nobody was crying.
1. A parent (not a coach) on our team brought it to the attention of the director that our bracket said 3rd grade and hit squad had fourth graders on it. Not for the purpose of accusing Hit squad of cheating but because in the 9u brackets, the losing side of the bracket has a chance to work its way back to the championship. We signed up for the 9u bracket and just wanted a chance to work our way back through the tournament. Hit squad did nothing wrong, it was just a mistake by whoever made the brackets.

2. Anyone that watched that game knows we should have won. Not making excuses but we got 2 touchdowns called back and on the last drive before halftime, we got down to the two yard line and ran out of time. Also their game winning touchdown came with 30 seconds left in the game. We lost by an extra point. Again not making excuses we came up short in that game, but we also would have liked to have gotten another shot in the championship. Nobody asked for a "fake championship" just that we would be allowed to finish out the brackets. The director would not allow that and came up with the solution to split the brackets into a 3rd grade division and a 9u division. We won the 3rd grade championship game. That is all Ball_Hawk meant. Anyway, congrats to hit squad, the "real" sooner classic champions!

What about the super Seahawks? Did they also have 4th graders? Wouldn't they be the 3rd grade champions? I'm so confused

Bottom line the way the tourney was set up.  Hit squad,Seahawks, storm, and the boys club.  Is the order of results

'Fake championship' 🤣🤣  shouldn't the protest in the format of the tournament have been done before participating in it anyway? And it was pretty clear in the rules that only beginner level teams should sign up for the 3rd grade tournament for a trophy. The elite teams would be done by age. They get rings. In that case hit squad won...no questions. If you want to debate a 3rd grade championship it's for a trophy and i don't think a team that went to the 'ship qualifies for that tournament anyway. Elite would put your older kids in the 9u or 10u division anyway.
