CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY
« on: November 06, 2019, 07:11:16 am »
Glenpool v. Collinsville

The culmination of a season of training. Last years runner up vs last years......
.🤔

Both teams bring some D to the matchup.  Collinsville giving up 1 offensive TD all season to Glenpools 1 offensive touchdown all season along with a pick 6 and a kickoff return.

Alot of offense and defense from both sides. On paper really even game. Should be an awesome game
Comparable games
Collinsville 7 Tyaa White. 0
Glenpool 33.  Tyaa White 0
Collinsville 6 Skiatook.      0
Glenpool 31.  Skiatook.     0
Collinsville 19 Bixby White 0
Glenpool 25  Bixby White 0

MRW will be going with Dem birds and I'm going with the Pool

Who you got??????

Having lined up against both teams, hopefully I can give a decent assessment. Both teams are extremely physical, aggressive and they block and tackle like they were born on a practice field.

Collinsville-big and nasty up front, they don’t miss many tackles or blocks. For a big team they throw better than what you’d expect, QB has a rocket for an arm.

Glenpool-similar up front, very aggressive. Very talented but most importantly disciplined backfield. These boys were performing at a level in the first scrimmage that it took most of us months to reach.

Both teams are very well coached. I think Glenpool has more finesse on offense which gives them the edge and I think they pull it out after struggling with collinsville’s line in the first half. But I’ve been wrong many times before and collinsville has a knack for taking down giants. Looking forward to watching a great game.

Collinsville is damn good football team but I’m going glenpool 35-0.  Collinsville’s strength is their DL and glenpool will outrun that strength with #4 and #33. Kinda like they did Skiatook.

Curious on ouriggs thoughts. Prob go with Cville since they have time to prepare prob will get better officiating and the announcer wont be drowning out the snap count

I think it will be a good game. Yes all those things are factors true factors we could not over come .
Glenpool faster then they look and tougher than you expect. If Cville tackles better than we did and are ready to play against the fast paced no huddle offense they might have a chance.
If you keep Gpool form scoring they have to get all their players in during the game. They score six times those kids get their 12 plays on extra points and kick off. easier said than done.
I could go on and on #4 and #33 are very fast and tough runners #10 is a tough runner . #99 and #49 great runners and ends . The trap play is still tough to beat. and the ability to look at the defense and call the play form the side line based on what you see is pretty tough to prepare for . I see why you wanted your coach there on Monday because of his ability to do this so well with your kids. Also the on side kicks are awesome. we had a kid vapor lock when the ball was at his feet and he just backed up and let your guys jump right on it .
The pulling ends on the trap plays is very impressive. the threat of the wheel routes when 99 and 4 maybe 33 are all lined up at receiver is  tough to prepare for . the fact that 10 can throw the ball 30 yards is hard to prepare for.
O yeah the screen play that's tough to prepare.
On defense very tough four man front with the 3 backers threatening blitz when they walk up tough to defend. they trust the ends to make most of the plays with 7 fast kids ready to come and hit you if you make it past them . great job of keeping teams in front of you and making great tackles.
I said long ago that your defense was under rated when everyone was going on and on about your offense.
Like i said do i think we could have given you a better game? I would say yes would that change the win loss i doubt it. Hopefully we make the payoffs next year or get to play again and we get the chance to find out.
let me know if you want me to add more im here all week .
Cant wait for the championship hope its a great game no matter who wins, and that everyone stays healthy throughout this week for the big game.

Should be a good matchup.  Our boys are just happy to be playing in the championship game 2 year in a row. Great accomplishment win or lose. They have worked hard all year. We already have a plaque so we would prefer the trophy this year.

As Bk99 says, it's radio silence from here on out from us ;D

Collinsville tough up front. Number 36 will tackle you anywhere inside the stadium. I think 24 is one of the best lineman out there. They started throwing more after they played us. Their backs are tough both on offense and defense. Little number 7 is quick in the reverse. Mainly their defense is a lot like yours bk99. Keeps everything in front of them and they gang tackle. Their offense like I said has improved since we played them. They will look to try and do what everyone has and that is keep your offense off the field. Easier said than done. They will try and pound the ball and keep the clock on their favor. They to have a lot of players but they get them in and out during the game and not just in extra points and kick offs. If and I say if they tackle well and don’t give up the inevitable big plays. They got a real shot at this game. I haven’t broke Cville down on a while I will admit that I kinda moved in and forgot about this game later in on the week. I hope everyone stays healthy and has a great competitive game. Full of big plays great hits and someone has ho deserves it will bring home the 3rd grade INFC championship today. The best two teams all year have made it and I wish you both the best. Does this make us third since our only losses where to the two in the SHIP???? 😂😂😂😂

Can someone explain why the stream from glenoool is really good the camera is in the stands and the score Is on the screen it's a good broadcast. And the stream from Lincoln Christian is done from some one that is on the sidelines who cant even focus on the game the camera is shaky and they have shown more turf and things other than the field. It looks like someone is filming right from the collinsville sideline. It's bad.

In the famous words of Mike Tyson. "Everyone has a plan until you get punched in the mouth". They did that today. Good game Glenpool. We will see you next year.
