All program
« on: August 24, 2016, 11:42:42 am »
Dear coaches to everyone that think they can coach that stack of team for a championship. they don't care about 12 play kids, the coaches that's not coaching the game of football. (That I love) I have been coaching for 10-plus years I have several kids that don't know the game of football (6 grade and up) because you can't coach. We have Elite programs that I can name but I will not! Coaches are lying to the parents. Take away all your franchise players and see if you can win a game. (I know I can) Oklahoma Sports is sad! OSU, TU, and OU you should not leave the state and go get top athletes and we have them right here in our  backyard! Because of the elite programs are worried about championships our talent is lost because of the coaches once again sad! (You will know my kids that I coach I promise)....

I hope this wasn't in response to my post the other day asking what counts as 12 plays. I have 15 players so that means I only have 4 subs. I asked about kickoff/kickoff return counted towards the 12 plays as well as the 20/20 punt rule. I knew the kickoff/kickoff return counted but wasn't sure about the 20/20 punt rule since technically a play isn't ran, however, it is technically 4th down and the referees take the ball down the field 20 yards. So I wasn't sure. I want to make sure my players get their 12 plays out of the way as soon as possible so that I can sub them in and out when needed. I want to get their 12 plays in so I don't have to worry about that aspect of the game.

If this wasn't in response to my post then my apologies. I see where you are going with your post though. Too many coaches try to have those championship teams with their "studs." I wish I had more than 15 players to be able to submit in and out more. I don't so I'm hoping all the conditioning we have been doing pays off. All of my players pretty much do the same drills together and do them equally. Of course I'm not having lineman run the ball in practice or try to catch a pass since they won't do that in the games for me. All of my players will get more than the minimum 12 plays no matter their talent level. It would be disrespectful to the players and their parents to only play a player just 12 plays at this age.

No sir, its sad to see great Talent that don't understand the game of football. even the kids that don't have it but have great potential they are overlooked because they're not the Superstar.

Unthinkable how will we know your players if you don't tell us who your with? Or are we to assume that all well coached kids yours personally? I would love to know what team your with so I can see how the perfect Coach coaches. I love vague posts that bash others. Tell us what teams or organizations are coaching wrong, because there are some very good ones out there. Or are we just stirring the pot?

You can take it how you want to but I'm speaking the truth. Go check out some high school freshman. That played in INFC and you tell me what you think. Some would never play the game again because of lack of understanding.

Lets remember every coach here is a volunteer and not a paid professional! Some of these guys are coaching because nobody would step up to the plate and be the head coach! You won't catch me on here bashing volunteers or calling coaches liars! I have seen several coaches who I have been impressed with coaching and I think the INFC has a ton of talent and I personally think we have a lot of talent in the state of Oklahoma but thats just me! Please tell me where your coaching experience is?? If your gonna say you have 10 plus years coaching in the INFC AS A VOLUNTEER thats like saying you worked customer service for 10 years at McDonalds! No way you get on a forum to bash coaches if you coach on Friday nights! Its hard to take a guy credible who gets on a public form creates a profile and remains anonymous bashing volunteers! Just man up and say where your from!

I will agree with you there's a lot of talent in Oklahoma but they are not being coached volunteers or not.

A good coach.........I would be curious to know what you mean by your statement. I know 98% of the people you are speaking to have no direct relation to any of the kids that are in your 6th Grade and up program no matter what school you coach on Friday nights. How can you bash any volunteer coach? I mean really........so you rely on youth volunteer coaches to teach your kids what they need to know on the HS level? Junior High football isn't enough time to correct any of that or is that just something your not wanting to deal with? I understand you have kids that you believe should have been coached better and taught certain fundamentals of football by the time they get to you, but really a public forum full of volunteer coaches isn't the place to call them out. If you coach at the HS level then let me give you a little advice from a "volunteer coach" take a little of your forum coach bashing time and go to your youth club practices and help structure the coaches in the direction you would like them to go with the kids. I know you paid coaches have a lot going on, but if you start building your programs from the 1st Grade up instead 9th Grade then maybe you wouldn't run into this problem?

Good Luck where ever you are from and you can come watch my team any time you feel you need to judge a volunteer coach. I'm with Catoosa 4th Grade and I have 7 Coaches. I will be the one about 2 feet shorter than the rest! No Shadow hiding here brother!

Unthinkable if this was such a big concern for your High School program maybe you should post this topic on all age groups forums not just 3rd grade. he reported a score for an eastside vs sapulpa game a couple seasons back so maybe one of those groups but I highly doubt he is anywhere except the stands on Friday night eating popcorn.Bottom line there is no credibility to this person. I am done looking at this topic
