Wait? So you want the official to stop the play to correct something AND the clock to keep rolling. I understand the advantage aspect you are getting at but the they aren't going to let the clock just melt away while the formation is fixed to your specifications. Coming from someone who has high school, college, and even INFC officiating experience, being in the officials ear every play is probably not the greatest idea. Explaining it to them once or twice is fine, but trust me they are going to enforce it how ever they see fit, right or wrong that how officials at the INFC level operate. They don't get paid enough to listen to coaches tell them what to do every play. Sorry personal soapbox over. Good luck against Bixby sounds like you guys are pumped!
