Top 10 Teams
« on: September 15, 2020, 08:36:12 am »
It might be a little early but here is my top 10 teams.

1. Tyaa Blue... (2-0) Defending Champions They Didn't Get Better From Last Year.
2. Choctaw Gold... (2-0) Runner Up. Nobody On That Side Of The State Will Beat Them.
3. Skiatook... (2-0) Only Team To Beat Them Is Tyaa Blue They Might Be Number 2.
4. Bixby Blue...(2-0) Speed Kills Teams Are Going To Have Problems Stopping Them They Put Up 100 Points in 2 Games.
5. Forth Gibson... (2-0) I Don't Remember Them From Last Year. #6 Got Swag He Is Going To Bring It.
6. Muskogee... (2-0) Don't Sleep On Them They Coming To Play.
7. San Springs Black... (2-0 I Think)  I Don't Know If They Can Beat Any Of The Top 10 Teams But For Now They Are #7.
8. Tyya White... (1-1) Tough Loss Last Weekend To The Number 3 Team.
9. Tyya Red... (1-1) They Had A Tough Loss Last Weekend Also To The Number 5 Team.
10. BA White... (1-1) They Was A Top 5 Team Last Year Lets See If They Can Get Back Up There. Tough Loss To The Number 6 Teams In Week 1.

Who Would Y'all Replace On The List ?

I would have Sapulpa on that top 10. They have hung 90 points in 2 games and gave up 7 points. Those boys are no joke!

Good Looking list for the most part, but I would probably move Fort Gibson down that list to top 7-10. Move Sand Springs Black up, move Muskogee up, maybe move Choctaw down a little since there are questions about the team this year on which kids are returning and which kids got moved over to other teams. Lincoln Christian probably like to have a shot to crack your top 10 as well, but they have to put up an argument first.

Overall IMO not a bad top 10 list though, there can definitely be arguments to be made, but it's your list.

Yes, I would say Sapulpa has an argument for sure, but I can also see where we need a couple more games to play out. Have to see how good of a win over Glenpool Blue it was and how good of a win over Collinsville Blue it was, but If I had a top 10 right now they definitely would be in mine.

I will give a top 10 directly, but IMO THE top 3 teams in this grade this year hands down are Skiatook, Tyaa Blue, and Bixby Blue. Another team can come in the fray as the season goes on, but if the draw works out right the champion is coming out of one of those 3 teams. Muskogee has a shot to be there, I hear the Ft Gibson QB is a STUD, but I also heard Tyaa Red's best back did not make weight. Either way that was a good win for Ft Gibson and if they have the team around that kid I am being told then maybe they get in that convo as well. Sapulpa and Sand Springs are both impressive teams and who knows where they end up by seasons end. I think Berryhill has the ability to make some noise if they get rolling as well. Choctaw looked good a year ago and I am sure they still are. We all know year to year is an eternity of growth for some of these little guys, but with all the football I have seen over the years I just think Skiatook, Tyaa Blue, and Bixby Blue are the top 3 and then there is everyone else. The only thing that may hurt Bixby is having 15 kids, but they all played well. #21 is the best RB I have seen this year and he is a great Safety as well. #7 for Tyaa Blue is a STUD, AND #85 for Skiatook is a STUD. I think both of those boys were created in a laboratory! Definitely going to be a great season and the draw will help determine who wins it all. Either way only 2 of those 3 teams could end up on opposite sides.

Great take Shaffer, I forgot about Bixby Blue having 15 kids on their roster. I would think that would hurt them in key match ups like this weekend with TYAA Blue.

If #12 was out for TYAA Red then for sure thats a big deal in the ball game last week. I think Fort Gibson has something special, but it's a different team when #12 isn't running the ball.

Muskogee I do think makes some noise this year for the top 3 spots, but this weekend should give us a very good idea where they stand.

Yeah Bixby has 15, but they are a good 15 or they hide them well if not. In any instance #21 does not come off the field and he is the real deal. I have had discussion with a ton of coaches, but what I seen 1st hand last Saturday makes me a believer. The kid is special. He can win a tight ball game all by his lonesome at this age.

Epo. This my 4th go around at the MM level and have seen a lot of good teams over the years! However Skiatook and Tyaa Blue are definitely top 5 best MM teams I’ve ever seen!

1. Skiatook I don’t see how anyone can block #85. He’s a monster and better than last year! Jett is a baller and they’ve got 3 or 4 other stud players. They are loaded!
2. Tyaa Blue the defending champs and no disrespect to the Champs as I give the clear edge to Skiatook and Blue. Big matchup against Bixby Blue this weekend. Time to make a statement for either team.
3. Ft Gibson #6 is a stud and a game changer!
4. Choctaw Gold runner up last year but never have been sold on them.
5. Bixby Blue if they had 10 kids they would be a championship contender. This weekends game will tell us a lot!
6. Tyaa White played Skiatook to a 19-12 game. Don’t sleep on these guys
7. SS Black great coaching and lots of playmakers
8. Muskogee lots of talent in the backfield
9. Tyaa Red another loaded Tyaa team
10. Sapulpa curious time see how they do against Tyaa Red, FTG and SS Black time will tell but they have a gifted RB and a stud LB!

1. Tyaa Blue - Champs until defeated. Arguably the best defense in the grade.

2. Skiatook - IMO the best overall team in the grade.

3. Bixby Blue - 15 kids or not these guys are really good. #21 is special, but they are so much more than just him. Arguably #2 in terms of both sides of the ball and arguably the best offense in the grade. This weekend will tell.

4. Muskogee - Really good team. This will be the year to see if they take the next step. Going from 2 teams to 1 was huge. These guys got a chance to do something special.

5.Choctaw - I seen these guys play in the Championship game last year and they are good, but there isn't a doubt in my mind that the real championship game happened in the 1st Rd when Skiatook and Tyaa Blue played. That is by no means a shot at Choctaw, but more respect to how good those 2 teams were a season ago. The argument could be made that these guys should be #3 or #4, but my opinion is that Bixby Blue is a notch above.

6. Ft Gibson - I have had too many people tell me about this QB for him not to be special. I am hearing they only have 9 kids and they can all play which really makes me think they will end up higher. Tyaa Red is good, but they are no Tyaa Blue.

7. Sand Springs - These coaches have done a great job considering how many boys they had. It will help them come 3rd grade, but I think it hurts them more this year if they still have that many.

8. Tyaa White - I was just impressed with how they played Skiatook. They have my attention now.

9. Tyaa Red - It is tough depending on a runner to make weight. If he does then they are a different team.

10. Sapulpa - I see you guys. You will have plenty of opportunities to move up the ranks shortly.

Lol depends on who you play and what you do. On any given year there are 35 - 50 teams in a grade and not everyone can be top 10. It will work itself out and if they are that good then they will be recognized trust me.

Sapulpa is good, but here is why they’re questioned by some.

1. Glenpool Blue’s consistency is in question just as it was last year when sometimes kids couldn’t make it to the game. Not sure after only two games on how good Glenpool Blue is or the team they beat in BA Gold.

2. 62 of those points were put on a team that will have trouble all year long scoring and stopping teams from scoring.

I get you feel disrespected, but I think in time everything will work itself out. Just have to show up Saturday’s and play consistent and you guys will do fine. You have caught the attention of many already which is better than you did last year after game 2. You will get your time to make a statement.

@lovethegame12

I could argue about union Not getting a spot and throw a hissy fit, I’m not doing that for the fact that everyone is going to come headhunting for that Sapulpa team now

Good luck 😉
