ENOUGH!!!!
« on: October 05, 2016, 09:00:51 am »
What the hell?!?!? I'm talking to all BA teams and all BA coaches in 2nd grade. Why do you coach? Is it because your son plays ball and you want to be involved? I applaud you! I mean that. There's not enough people stepping up to do it and you're doing a great job. What can I say about the year BA second grade is having? I grew up in this town. I have alot of pride for Broken Arrow and I am proud of where I am from. I bleed BLACK AND GOLD!!! I have absolutely no issue with any team whatsoever as a whole. I worry about MY team, BA SILVER, and coaching the kids up that I have to the best of my ability. Gorilla, I talked to one of your coaches that approached me with the he said, she said, and they said BS. We shared some laughs about it for a couple minutes, and he went on to practice. I'm going to say this one time. If I have a problem with you guys, I will address the matter with you, then, if need be, we can take it to the office. I don't talk behind peoples back, I don't LIE!!!,  and most importantly, I don't care who I'm coaching. I just want to coach!!!! Im not saying you lie. I know others are reading and Ill touch on that in my next post. They are all going to be playing for BA as a team one of these days so let's just coach these kids up and shut up. I am NOT going to fight with BA teams. When we play each other, COMPETE!!! Don't make it more than what it is. Yes, even if it was the INFC championship. WE ARE BA!!!! That's why I coach. I don't care who I have, I am going to make them better than the season before and prepare them for school ball. Do you want to know why BA, the biggest high school in the state, has never won a state championship? There are several reasons but here is a big one. Its BECAUSE THEY DONT WORK HARD ENOUGH!!!! Why? BECAUSE THE COACHES DONT PUSH THEM HARD ENOUGH!!!!  We will never have the type of support Union and Jenks has for their youth football programs. I can't believe people can't figure out how it is Union and Jenks have won the last, what, 20 State championships now? It starts at the youth level and BA schools have never done anything to get our youth coaches on the same page. When 8th grade hits, we are so far behind its not even funny because Union and Jenks have been teaching their kids a system their whole life. Most of their best kids could start on our 9th grade team or JV when they get to 8th grade. That's how much gap there is in our programs. The only way we can help is to make sure our Tigers learn proper fundamental football. Its not GOLD, BLACK, SILVER, PLATINUM. It is BLACK AND GOLD! WE ARE BA!!! If you guys have a problem with me, any issue at all, I ask that you MAN up and talk to me about it. Don't go talking behind my back because it won't do anything for you. Don't let this "new kid" fool you. I've been around the block. I want us all to succeed. My door is open not just for arguments, I'll help you any way I can if you need it. I'm not just talking to Gorilla, I get along with him. Haven't seen anyone since we moved. I'm talking to all BA second grade coaches. Next season is freaking next season. There's not one of us that even knows that we'll have a 3rd grade team. I'm really hoping nobody thinks that's automatic. Everyone, including myself, when it comes to BA football, Shut up and coach the kids we have. The journey to the gold bar starts here in little ol  MM football. Keep it in house!!!! Let's get it done BA!!! I have another post I need to work on. I mean no disrespect coaches but Cmon. Some of you from each team knows me and where my heart is.

That's what I'm saying Coach. Let's keep grinding and coaching this great group of second graders we have as a whole. I was just reiterating that I, myself don't lie, not that anybody in BA does or even has lied to me. Even if that was the case. I would keep it in house, OUR house, BA's house!!! Have a good one Coach!

Why is it always ba coaches and teams at each other? You dont see or hear it in other towns!!! Ba coaches would rather chew their own arm off instead of help another ba team. This is my 14th year coaching in the infc and every year I see it. Every year jenks union owasso and bixby will have multiple good teams. But with ba ikts usually one good one average and the rest are horrible. I to bleed for ba football. I grew up in ba and played in ba my whole life. I wanna see this town unified and start winning instead of squabbling for the scraps. JMO

I understand and agree with exactly what you are saying hawk. For the record, there is no trouble in BA as far as second grade football at this moment. We are having a great year and there really is no reason to anyways. There was obviously a disagreement between one of my coaches and another coach, both of whom have respect for each other on the forum. My intentions are to stop it now. Unity makes a program stronger in my opinion. I'm not going to fight with any BA Coach. Of course we will compete to get the "best" players and build a championship team but I'll worry about that when or if I even have the chance to worry about it. There could be more than just coaching solid fundamental football youth coaches could do but I just don't see BA ever having the full support it needs. I'm not talking about INFC. The league is fair and just. I'm talking about the schools. Their lack of support is obvious and sad and its been this way my whole life. I will never give up on BA though. We will win a championship. Just a matter of time before BA gets their first INFC championship ;) Gotta start somewhere. Let's go BA!

Well ive come very close twice. Been the big one twice and family unity played a big role. Support from fellow ba teams helped. Although not without some back stabbing. Lol Ultimately all these kids come together in 8th grade. We have to all do our best to teach not coach these kids this game of football. Havent seen much 2nd grade football this year except for ba silver and ba gold. And I must say I am very excited about the talent on both teams. Depending on my options I may be coaching third grade next year and would love to see the talent on both teams come together. :)

I would not be opposed to stacking a couple BA teams since that's what bringing a couple teams together would be. However, there are rules, and, as you know, all new teams are allowed 4 protects. The rest are drafted or wheel and deal and the chances of anyone letting that happen  are slim to none. You probably know one of my coaches. He's been in those same battles with experience very much like your own. My intentions are to bring the boys on up. My background is mostly school ball, 8th grade. I teach football, I coach football. I coach and teach so much more than that. Football is just a tool. You can take away the body but never the mind. 3-7 grade isn't just a football team to me. Its a program that will have my kids ready to become solid student athletes come 8th grade. My kids are held accountable for their actions. Its simple, Do Right.
