2021 Season
« on: November 15, 2020, 09:47:47 pm »
I just wanted to state a few things and give some congratulations.  1st off... Congratulations to Bixby Blue whom I personally had as the #1 team all season long on winning the 2nd Grade Championship.  Numbers did not hurt them this year which is extremely scary for next year. Tyaa Blue is right there with them. Only 1 loss and 1 tie in 2 years. In my eyes they are 1a and 1b. Props to Ft Gibson for making the title game because that is impressive no matter when you do it, but the draw kills us these first 3 years.  No matter what anyone says the top 2 teams in our grade this year was Bixby Blue and Tyaa Blue. Tyaa Red, Ft Gibson, Muskogee, Skiatook, and Sand Springs Black can all compete for #3 and whatever else. Next year we go to 11 man and everything changes to a degree. I am hoping to get a few more players over here at Hilldale, but in any instance I will point out that we had a pretty successful season all things considered.  I look forward to chopping it up with you all this next season. Congratulations and best of luck!

Shaffer was one of the first to say that Bixby was right there with TYAA Blue even when others like myself said they couldn't be because they had too many on their team to compete for the Championship. So props to Shaffer for calling that one early and Props to Bixby Blue for being this years Champs. I knew they were good, but I was completely wrong on them being contenders. I did realize they were going to be special come playoff time, but that was far too late into the season for it to count.

Congrats Blue Spartans!

On to another year!
