Top 15 After Week 9 ~
« on: October 28, 2019, 09:50:35 am »
Top 15, had a little more movement this week as we had a few top 15 teams play each other. Everyone good luck in Playoffs, it should be a good one.

#1 Broken Arrow White (9-0) - Finished undefeated 9-0, Looks like they got a good playoff Draw.

#2 TYAA Blue (8-0-1) - Defense wins championships. They got a tough playoff draw playing Skiatook first.

#3 Skiatook (8-0-1) - #5 on this team is a very special player, he can maneuver very well in and out of traffic. #85 is very diverse and can be played anywhere on the field.

#4 Lincoln Christian (9-0) - Finished the season with a nice shut out over TYAA White 33-0, tough team to play in the playoffs.

#5 TYAA Red (7-1-1) - This team could be big time if #12 makes weight for playoffs. Probably the fastest kid in this grade that I have seen.

#6 Bixby Blue (8-1) - They came to play last week, chip on their shoulder? Nice win over Sand Springs, looks like they got a good draw for Playoffs now they just need to keep the pace up they showed last week.

#7 Choctaw Gold (9-0) - Possibly will have this team our first game in Playoffs, I wanted to see how good they were in Playoffs, well I got what I asked for as long as they beat Bixby Red first. Glad they're going to make it.

#8 Muskogee White (8-1) - #4 is a tough fast kid that will make kids miss, they also have a lineman that is smart, big, and fast. I could see them upsetting whoever they play first in Playoffs, but it won't be easy as I have seen Skiatook and TYAA Blue play first hand and they're tough, but don't over look this team.

#9 Muskogee Green (7-2) - They showed up against Hilldale last week and they got a good draw for Playoffs. I have them meeting up with BA White in quarter finals.

#10 Catoosa Green (6-2-1) - Played a tough BA Gold team last week, moves them up into the #10 spot ahead of a Sand Springs team who lost their last game.

#11 Sand Springs (6-3) - Tough loss going into playoffs. They did get a very favorable draw in playoffs though and I see them meeting up with Bixby Blue to play them again in quarters.

#12 BA Gold (5-4) - They will have to bounce back and get ready for a tough first game in playoffs.

#13 Hilldale (4-5) - Shaffer has an opportunity to potentially play BA White again in second round of playoffs.

#14 Broken Arrow Black (5-2-2) - Played Skiatook tough and now has TYAA Red first round of playoffs. #36 is an all star player.

#15 Glenpool Blue (4-5) - Moved back into the top 15 after a team they have beaten got shut out 33-0 last week. I see them to play Lincoln Christian tough their first game.

I was in the room and they clicked the computer 4 different times, then kept the 4th time. It is actually a random draw for each team.

I think it's tough on both sides if anyone is to make the championship. I do think some have it easier than others to get to Semi's, but both Semis will be a tough game.

However, I don't like that Skiatook and TYAA Blue play each other first then still have to finish their gauntlet leg of the bracket.

Top and bottom of the bracket has a lot of good teams playing. I wouldn't exactly say Broken Arrow White is a for sure in.

BA white got a favorable draw but i wouldn’t say a “For sure” in...LC and BA white are very similar teams no flash but they play smash mouth power football both teams coached very well that will be a good game but Muskogee Green is also a tough game for both teams....

On the other side of things i see #21 for bixby and #5 for Skiatook putting on a show #21 has been my favorite player to watch run this year so I’m going out on a limb and saying Bixby Blue comes out on that side of the bracket..

Our older kids have been unlucky 3 years in a row.   This year they got lucky. Most years they have to play the toughest team right  out of the gate.  That’s how it happens.  They lower side of the bracket has tough teams and great coaching.  Don’t take anything away from those kids please.

If Broken Arrow white is the number one team like everybody saying they are then who is going to beat them maybe Lincoln Christian! ..... they rigged the computer to make it favorable for BA White 🤣🤣🤣

Here is how I see that bottom side playing out:

Muskogee Green and Broken Arrow White in Quarter Finals and I could see Muskogee Green with the upset as they only lost by 8 last time they played. However I have Broken Arrow White getting to Semi Finals.

Very Bottom Leg I see Lincoln Christian and Glenpool Blue being a game that could go either way, but I have Lincoln winning this game by 6.

Then I have them playing Catoosa Black and winning.

That puts Lincoln in Quarter Finals.

Then I have Choctaw Gold winning over Bixby Red, then Playing Catoosa Green which will be a good game, but I have my Team winning this game and playing Lincoln in Quarters. If you think that my team doesn't have the team to knock off Lincoln then so be it, but it won't be a cake walk for them.

The winner of that game I have going to Semis playing BA White where it will be a close game regardless of what others think.

I feel your under estimating a lot of teams. It's late in the season and a lot of teams have gotten better and some have remain stagnate.

I do not see a clear cut winner in several games and I also see about 8 Teams that I think could win the championship. Semi Finals are wide open, with the exception of Bixby Blue who got the best draw.

Yeah that top leg, everyone in it got hosed, there is no doubt, but that bottom leg is no Cake Walk. There will be some good football played there as well, I assure you that.

I guarantee they aren't going to rig nothing for 1st grade football lol. BA White did get a favorable draw and they could very well be the best overall team in 1st grade but, they are beatable as are most. I agree Muskogee Green has 2 kids that will give a bunch of teams problems and they may give BA a run if they meet up. I have said it all year and I will say it again.  There are some good teams in this grade but, I don't see that really dominant 3 or 4 teams that every grade normally has. Maybe that will come but, I just don't see it right now. It does suck that Tyaa Blue and Skiatook have to play in the 1st Rd but, I have also seen that happen live out of the hat multiple times. I was in the room for both 1st & 2nd grade draw and the computer legit randomized it and it was way faster.

Rushing k, you have been pretty interested in us and our schedule all year considering you have stated repeatedly that you don't think much of my team picking us to get beat multiple times and dismissing the results of our games as weak scheduling. I have film on every contender in this grade which is why I have been ranking my boys 1st for many weeks now. Like I told you a few weeks ago, I look forward to playing your boys in the playoffs. We would both have to make it to the ship for this to happen and it won't be easy for either of us. You are dismissing LC, Choctaw Gold, Muskogee Green, Catoosa Green and Hilldale like they are just going to lay down and let us roll to the ship, what a joke. All good teams, three of which including my group, that are legit undefeated, no ties. I look forward to the games and am confident in my boys but saying BA rigged the system is laughable. How many BA teams make it the ship in any grade year in and year out? Especially in MM? MM is TYAA's bread and butter. I don't know how many years I have seen the 1st and 2nd grade championship feature two TYAA teams playing each other. TYAA runs a great program but don't act like the system is rigged in any teams favor. Good luck to all the teams and as I said earlier, I look forward to playing your team if we both earn our spot in the ship.
