Here we go, last week of the season. Finish strong, Playoffs next week!
Division 1
Norman @ Choctaw Gold (8-0)
Choctaw Blue (1-7) @ Yukon
Division 2
Muskogee Green (6-2) @ Hilldale (4-4) - Shaffer always seems to keep games close when he is challenged. When I look at these two teams I see 2 work horses, one from each team. I think Muskogee has the edge on Hilldale with a little more talent on the team, but Shaffer has a lot more experience coaching. Match ups are big in 1st grade and from what I have seen is when Hilldale plays more well rounded teams they have issues, but when they play teams that rely on one player as much as TYAA Red does or Muskogee Green does then they seem to play better. I'm going to call the upset here, I think this game could go either way, but Hilldale gets it by 1. Hilldale -1
Bixby Red (3-5) @ Broken Arrow White (8-0) - Well they have passed every test thrown their way this season with a perfect record of 8-0. I don't see this game being any different. Luckily I'll get to catch some of it this weekend while I'm at the BA Fields. Broken Arrow White -28
Wagoner (3-5) @ Glenpool White (0-8) - Glenpool White is too young and immature this season. Maybe next season will be the season they get that W. Wagoner -28
Coweta (1-7) @ TYAA Red (6-1-1) - I see Coweta got the game of the year win last week. I don't look for them to improve that to a 2 win streak though as TYAA Red probably a little hungry now. TYAA Red -28
Division 3
Collinsville (1-6-1) @ Owasso (1-7) - A good game for both of these teams to end on, Collinsville wins this game. Collinsville -26
Catoosa Green (5-2-1) @ Broken Arrow Gold (5-3) - Looks like Broken Arrow Gold has found something lately. This will be a good game for both teams, but of course I will go with my Indians. Catoosa Green
TYAA Blue (7-0-1) @ Bartlesville (0-8) - TYAA Blue -28
Skiatook (7-0-1) @ Broken Arrow Black (5-1-2) - This is the game that BA Black has to win to be considered a real contender with their 1 loss. #36 is a real player for BA Black, but unfortunately he isn't able to carry the ball. I see this game getting out of hand in the favor of Skiatook. Skiatook -20
Division 4
Catoosa Black (2-6) @ Sequoyah (0-7-1) - Another good game for 2 teams to end on. Catoosa Black wins this one, but it will be a close game as Sequoyah has shown signs of a good defense as well. Catoosa Black -6
Verdigris (3-3-2) @ Claremore (2-5-1) - You want to see some big boys, go watch Claremore play. 3 kids over the 100 mark...... Game could go either way, but Verdigris did surprise me with their 22-21 win over Collinsville. Verdigris -12
Muskogee White (7-1) @ TYAA Black (5-3) - TYAA Black has worked all year to get better and as I agree they have gotten better, I just think the coach has his hands full this year with a lot of kindergartners. Muskogee White wins this one. Muskogee White -18
Division 5
TYAA White (5-3) @ Lincoln Christian (8-0) - TYAA White has been up and down all year long. Not sure which team will show up this week, but when they're on they seem to be able to play with anyone, but when they're not........Lincoln Christian hasn't blown everyone out of the water, but they have played consistent and found ways to win every ball game. Lincoln Christian -12
Sand Springs (6-2) @ Bixby Blue (7-1) - GAME OF THE WEEK!! Sand Springs has been on fire lately. They have only lost by 1 TD to two teams that are still undefeated. They have outscored their last 3 opponents 98-32, I think this team wins this week and is ready to make a statement in playoffs. Bixby Blue is a really good team, but I stand by what I have said before which is they rely on 1 kid so much. That can work offensively in Mighty Mites, but defensively it can be a struggle. Sand Springs -7
Broken Arrow Platinum (0-8) @ Glenpool Blue (3-5) - I expect their QB to be there this week and get this win going into Playoffs. Glenpool Blue -28
Sapulpa (3-5) @ Berryhill (1-6-1) - Sapulpa really down to 9 kids now? Sapulpa -6
Good Luck everyone, it's the last game of the season and it's been a fun season. Excited about playoffs, but I can't wait to get to Season 2 either.
