MM D-line
« on: September 19, 2019, 12:52:04 pm »
Similar to a previous question asked today.  On defense are the D- ends required to be in a 3-4 point stance or just the tackles? Mixed answers from officials.  I know its hard for them to know ever rule.

Are we still talking might might?  2 stripers always have to be down at any age.

Yes sir, Mighty Mite.  If I have non-striper or one striper playing d-end in a 4-3 formation can they be in a 2-point

1 striper or less can stand up at d end.  Head up or outside shoulder of the offensive end (tackle)

Are defensive ends considered lineman? If so the rule book says "All lineman must line up in a down position"

Had to get confirmation from the grade rep & INFC office but a d-end is considered a lineman in Mighty Might and does have to be in a down position (3 or 4 point stance)
I stated it incorrectly above, my bad!  Wording is a bit vague in the rule book, they will look to rephrase it for next year.
