Knee pad issues.
« on: September 29, 2018, 07:05:35 pm »
Are there any issues with wearing a separate knee pad not attached to the pant? Our kids have grown alot since fittings and we are having issues keeping their knees covered once they are in game.

We would prefer it is the knee pads that go with your pants but if you mean like basketball/volleyball knee pads that would be fine  Just really need the protection.  If the pants fit correctly, do not try this as officials are likely to make you use your pants knee pads.

Yesterday we received multiple warnings from the officials about my players pants not being long enough. I showed them were we had secondary dedicated football knee pad inplace to provide adequate protection.
I was told "he didnt care about the pad he just wanted the length to cover his knees."

Is there any better way to convey the fact that we are meeting the rules and the pant length should be irrelevant?

I will add it to my newsletter I sent out to the officials this week.  Thank you for the reminder.
