Can you post the Ref Pay?
« on: September 03, 2017, 06:30:25 am »
Last week we had an issue with the rate of pay for the refs. We were told two different rates and then the refs showed us an email with a "typo" amount for traveling refs.  Can we clear this up and post a pay scale so that we don't have upset refs again?  We were told $24 for MM and $33 for 3rd grade-7th grade/per game.  Then it changed to $30 for MM and $40 for the remainder games. Plus a $10 travel fee per game.

Where are you located at?  There are only a handful of sites that have to pay the travel fee.
If you do have to pay the travel fee it is $7 more per game period, no matter what grade.
Not $10 extra after that.
There was some confusion at first because the original did say $10/game extra but Chad made that correction after week 1.
The $10 extra per game is for a single playoff game later on, then you could also have to pay the travel fee of $7 as well.

Stillwater.  Thanks for the clarification. Don't want anybody to feel they weren't paid correctly.  The officials that came during week one did a great job.

Sorry about that it wasn't really their fault.  It was my interpretation of the new pay sheet that it was $10 more per game.  Chad clarified it the next day.
I think I have the Stillwater officials lined up for the rest of the season barring unforeseen changes (which there usually are :)

What's the travel distance for the Ref to the extra $7?

And is it a extra $7 per game or one time fee?

We normally have local refs in Pryor but just want to make sure.

Extended travel pay is paid per game/per official for officials traveling over 1 hours distance (typically from Tulsa or OKC Metro).  This does not mean a club over 1 hours drive from Tulsa or OKC will automatically pay additional per diem travel fees.  The fees are only assessed for clubs who do not have a local officials association to pull from or wish to not use the local officials for said contest(s).
