3rd Grade Center Protected

Can you line up over center in 3rd grade? The rule for Center Protected talks no contact, not where to line up.

This came up at our 4th grade scrimmage as well Ref was telling our NT not to lineup over center but our understanding is he just cant make contact with center until QB has ball. Would love clarification thanks and appreciate you guys!

You can line up on the center starting in 3rd grade! No contact is to be made until the ball reaches QB hands.

3rd and 4th grade Nose can line up anywhere - just can't hit the center when the QB is in Shotgun formation.
