It seems to me that in our last game the ref was deliberately slowing the pace of play by allowing the defense extra time to substitute and get set up when we did not substitute. Our QB was told several times that he needed to wait on the refs signal to start the play call. With many teams using hurry up offenses now, can you address what is being done to ensure that the pace of play is not being hindered. If you could also provide what the actual rules are in this regard it would be appreciated. Thanks   

so far we have had great refs in the last two weeks. I would like to see the refs try and start keeping to some kind of play clock though. we have seen teams take almost 1 to 2 minutes to get a snap off after the whistle has been blown. it is coming up on week 3 we should be able to get our plays in and out and hold teams accountable when it comes to pace of play.
example of what im talking about we had the ball for 1:30 seconds in the third quarter we scored twice. we had two 4 and outs on defense. that means the other team had the ball for 6:30 gaining no yards just trying take the air out of the game. in the fourth qtr the refs started counting down the play clock which was nice but by that point the clock was running not stop anyways. like i said we have had great refs i just think that in 6th grade we should be able to have the play clock a factor at this point in the season.
